I experienced nonstop warm-and-cozy vibes in this autumn-themed small‑town billionaire romance, where broke billionaire Zane retreats to Cozy Creek and enlists Autumn in a fake‑dating charade where they quickly swap chemistry for genuine care. The dialogue sparkles like a crisp fall breeze, with endless banter over pumpkin pastries and surprise gestures like impromptu hayrides. I connected deeply with Zane’s frustration and Autumn’s grounded resilience; it’s obvious Lyra knows how to write characters who grow through each other. I found the final bloom of their love both satisfying and earned. The writing is lush but light enough to feel accessible—like a PSL in story form. I also loved how the seasonal setting isn’t just window‑dressing: it’s woven into Autumn’s self‑reflection, her cozy bookstore, and the town’s harvest festivals. The “fake girlfriend” trope evolves so naturally that the moment their relationship feels real hits you hard—and has you cheering. I cracked up at her inner monologue when Zane snatches the blanket and nearly melted. Overall, I loved how this book delivered sweet moments, emotional healing, and fall sparkle in perfect measure.
Favorite tropes:
Small‑town / Cozy Creek setting
Fake‑dating
He falls first
Autumn / harvest aesthetic
Enemies‑to‑something‑warmer banter
Second‑chance

i really wanted to give this book the benefit of the doubt. i tried! but nothing about this book hooked me, a few good lines here and there but the characters were blander than a sack of flour. the side characters had no personality. i felt like i was just reading a boring book about two people instantly falling in love and getting married without a second thought. fake dating? none of it was fake, they were into each other so blatantly the whole time.

the chemistry was of two teenagers who had the house to the themselves for the first month of their relationship and couldn’t contain themselves. that was it. i wished there was more good to this but it was a torture read for me sadly.

I enjoy just about everything I have read from this author. I have loved her other series books and I love that this one has some of the characters from her other books wrapped up in it. You don't need to have read the others but this one will be even more fun if you did read them.

Zane and Autumn are so much fun. I love the magic that is peppered through the story like fate is writing the story along with the author. This is a fun filled story set in Fall with plenty of coffee and banter. It is the perfect read to sit in a comfortable chair among the colored leaves and immerse yourself in the story along with your surroundings for the perfect Fall experience.

While I did find some of the parts about the predictions a little over the top towards the end, I did enjoy the idea of it throughout the story. I really enjoyed the main characters of Autumn and Zane and how strong Autumn was in standing up for herself when she needed to. I was rooting for them to heal and have a wonderful life after all they had been through with their previous relationships.

If you are looking for a fun romp through the the leaves, this is the right story for you. It has a good amount of spice and a lot of fairy tale romance to entertain you.

This book was simply boring. Not bad, but not good. I felt like I was forcing myself to push through it, which made me kind of sad because I LOVE fall-themed books and cute romances. This book just felt like nothing was going on-there was no yearning, the characters were flat, and it went from being complete strangers to being in a full-blown marriage within a very very short period of time. It honestly just felt like lazy writing. There was practically no story, and every chapter in the second half of the book was a spice scene. Don’t get me wrong, I enjoy spicy books, but at least give me something interesting in the story line in between. I’m disappointed because I really wanted to love this, but it left me wanting a lot more from the story.

I enjoyed this book. I like the concept of everyday magic— it was executed in a way that felt very accessible to me.

I will say, after the first 20% (or so) of the story, I felt like the events were passing me by rather than holding me, and it was hard to feel connected to the writing.

I’m not sure if that had to do with the writing, the pace, the plot, or if there’s another reason I became disconnected. I have been reading so often lately that I have a really clear idea of what captures me in a book and perhaps I had expectations based on my first impression of the characters that got lost as I continued throughout the book. Some scenes felt less natural, others felt a bit repetitive.

Ultimately, I love a happy ending so this was a fun read. There are a lot of things about the MMC that I really appreciate. I can tell a woman wrote this male character, because there are clear character traits I desire, that I’ve noticed men struggle to understand.

For instance, many men don’t get passive, upper middle class suburban female aggression—what it looks like, how cruel it really is. To have someone take charge of their toxic pasts, regardless of how connected they may feel to the person, and protect you from them is definitely a trait that’s on my dream-partner wish list. At the very least, not defending someone’s behavior hurt because you’re blind to it.

Also, his desire to ensure she was prepared for every situation, even thinking ahead when it came to shopping. I mean, the idea clothes as a form of armor…that’s such a female concept that I have found men struggle to grasp. Perhaps it’s why they’re so self conscious sometimes. But even this, is an idea that feels really simple: preparing your partner for an upcoming event when you have more familiarity with the people, the scene, the dress code. There are so many little ways that he reassured her that I wish were more common place in the average man.

I also really enjoyed the house and the way it was a character and its own way. The way his mother lived through it. The way it was a beacon of interest for the FMC even before they became involved.

I am open to reading the next book, but I do think the distance I started to feel, from the writing, may impact my ability to complete the entire series—if the feelings persists.

In this book we follow Autumn, a barista, and Zane, a billionaire; they end up having to fake date to save Autumn from her ex.

The main tropes are strangers to lovers, he's a billionaire, and some fake dating.

For the characters, I liked Autumn's relationship with her best friends, I also liked the way she overcame things and situations happening to her.

Now, for Zane's character, I liked his nonchalance at first and the way he took care of Autumn when she needed him. I also liked his relationship with his sister.

For their relationship, the build-up to it was way too fast, so much happened in such a short amount of time. They were cute together, but there was way too much smut in this story.

I thought it was only going to be located in the small town with the cozy vibes, but it went from this to a romance with rich people throwing tantrums, which let me down a little bit. The exes storyline could have been worked on longer it felt like some of them were put in the storyline without a real goal. I also think that there were too many characters by the end of this book.

I really thought I was going to like this book, a small town in fall sign me in but I was disappointed by this one, it wasn't for me, even though the new cover is really pretty.

Thank you to NetGalley and the publishers for providing me with this ARC in exchange for my honest review.

Fall I Want – 5⭐

I had so much fun with this book! It gave me all the cozy, small-town, autumn vibes I love. Zane and Autumn’s chemistry was perfect, and I’m always a sucker for the fake-dating-to-real-love trope. Warm, flirty, spicy, and just the right amount of drama. Such a cute fall romance! 🍂✨

Thank you netgalley for th3 opportunity to read this!!

☕️ It is August, which for me, means it's almost fall time. I am usually a horror/thriller girly when this time of year comes around, but I wanted to switch it up and try a fall romance for a change. Safe to say, I think I'd rather stick to my bloodbaths. This cover though was absolutely too cute to pass up, and practically screams 'please read me'.

☕️ I did enjoy the first half of this book. It gave all the cozy, small-town, fall vibes you could ask for. There's pumpkins, fall festivities, warm cups of coffee. It was the second half of the book that completely fell flat for me and basically cancelled out any good vibes I got from first half. They fell in love, and then after that that was all we heard about. How much they love each other. Married after a month. Constant conversations about how much they love each other. No plot. No drama. No meaning. Too insta lovey. Like why D:

☕️ I think it's safe to say that I felt cheated with this book. I enjoyed some of it and truly couldn't stand the rest. Would I recommend this for a fall read? Maybe. Would I recommend this for a good romance? No. Definitely missed the mark.

This book is absolutely perfect for the fall! Cozy romance with banter and spicy. It has some of my favorite tropes with fake dating and a billionaire. I would definitely recommend for a fun full read!

This book is kind of bonkers but I had such a fun time. At first it reminded me of the Pumpkin Spice Cafe/Strawberry Patch/Cinnamon Bun series but just that little bit grittier/more serious. And it followed that cute small town romance formula for awhile. Eventually this turns into more of a billionaire romance and a WILD ride. It's not going to work for everyone, but it worked for me. Also, at some point this book turns into a total spice fest. Again, I'm not complaining. This book also pulls off insta-love in my opinion, because they have this connection but both try to fight it at first. I liked all the cosmic kind of witchy vibes that kept coming up, total invisible string. Thank you to Avon for the eARC!

Fall I Want is a cozy, spicy, small-town romance that’s full of charm, humor, and heart. It’s the perfect autumn read: warm, flirty, and fun.

The story follows Zane Alexander, a heartbroken billionaire who escapes to the small town of Cozy Creek. There, he meets Autumn, and their first impressions of each other aren’t great. But when her ex shows up, Zane steps in and pretends to be her boyfriend. What starts as fake dating quickly turns into something real.

Their chemistry is sweet and sizzling, and the fake relationship trope is done in a way that feels fresh and fun. As they spend more time together—through fall festivals and holiday events the line between pretending and real love starts to blur.

This book is full of fall vibes, flirty banter, and emotional moments. If you love small-town romance, fake dating, and billionaires who fall hard, this one’s for you.

I was lured in by the adorable title, the autumn-themed cover, the promise of fake dating, and a cozy small-town setting. Sadly, all the fall vibes and charm disappear early on. What seemed like a fun, petty fake-dating setup quickly shifted into a "fated lovers" storyline with no tension or believable build-up. The steamy scenes felt abrupt and overly focused on male gratification—more like rushed erotica than romance. The one redeeming factor was the intrusive, hilarious group of friends. They honestly deserved more page time than the main couple. This one just didn’t work for me.

This book gave me all the feels. It’s a slow-burn, emotionally rich, and deeply swoony love story that perfectly captures the vulnerability and excitement of falling in love when you least expect it. The characters are beautifully developed, flawed, real, and easy to root for. The chemistry? Off the charts. The emotional payoff? So worth the wait.

Lyra Parish has a gift for writing romance that feels intimate and intense, while still keeping it grounded. Whether you’re in it for the banter, the tension, or the heartfelt moments, this one delivers on all fronts.

I’m going to be honest this books needs to be HEAVILY edited. I didn’t finish this book because I just couldn’t. I got 25% in and the mmc makes me cringe too much. Both of these people are just insecure and what this book is going to give is “two insecure people fall in love with each other” and I just can’t IM SORRY

⭐️⭐️⭐️💫 (3.5 stars)

Fall I Want was such a cute and cozy read that perfectly captured all the autumn vibes. I loved the mix of warm, fall aesthetics with just a touch of haunted, spooky elements, it made the setting feel so fun and immersive. It’s definitely the kind of book you want to curl up with on a crisp fall day.

The romance was sweet overall, but my only struggle was with the male main character. In the first couple of chapters, he came across as pretty harsh, and then his demeanor flipped to kind and caring almost instantly. I would have loved a little more development to make that transition feel natural.

That said, this book is light, atmospheric, and perfect for readers who love cozy fall reads with a little bit of heart and a hint of haunting.

Thank you to Avonbooks and Netgalley for an e-ARC of this book.

Like many suffocated by this heat wave, I am so ready for fall, and what is a better way to prepare for fall than a fall read??

I would like to point out that I realllllyyyy wanted to love this book. In the beginning, I was very excited for this book due to the small town and cozy vibes, and the idea of a meet-cute in a coffee shop is everyone's dream. However, as the book kept going, it continued to be repetitive with the love-bombing and even though I love the billionaire trope, it seemed like he was just throwing money around. For example, paying for everyone's coffee at the coffee shop was really cute but I think that was the only time I found it adorable.

I didn't really enjoy Zane and Autumn's relationship either. Unfortunately, I don't think it was completely developed and their chemistry was lacking. As cute as it was in the beginning, it became cringe-y. I was so shocked when they got married because I was like...???? Where did that come from?! LOL

I do wish the magic realism was also better developed. I feel like it was hinted at, rather than explored. At first, it was interesting that she kept seeing "McDreamy" in, well, her dreams, and it was stated matter-of-factly. Idk. It seemed as if many things were attempted here and to me, I didn't feel like they were well-written.

Thanks to Netgalley and the publisher to an eARC. A cute fall, small town romance. It has cute moments and some magical moments thrown in. It seemed to go on too long and felt it could have been cut down a lot. Cute overall but not something that will really stay with me.

This series is written by numerous authors and I could not wait to read Fall I Want by Lyra Parish. I enjoy romantic comedy stories.
This is Zane and Autumn’s story. It was entertaining and will definitely put you in the fall spirit.
What starts off as friendship quickly becomes a fake relationship which grows into more. Can't wait to read the rest of the series!

This was a cute small-town love story. I liked the coffee, fall vibes, billionaire MMC. The first 40% of the book was pretty good. I liked the attitude Autumn gave Alex Alexander. Then it's like they just decided to be in love and it got repetitive. I don't think I loved Harper's predictions angle. Everyone went along with them which makes it seem like self-fulling prophesy. For example, Alexander started being mean to Autumn to push her away and abruptly changed his mind the next second it seemed. When people say they don't like romance because it's cringey and sappy, a book like this is probably what they mean.

This was cute and wholesome and such a breath of fresh air. It delved into healing from past toxic relationships and not fearing your heart again to new worthwhile experiences. M heart ached and rejoiced with the two main characters and I feel I got to know them both so well. Highly recommended when it comes out!
