In this book we follow Autumn, our FMC who is a barista/author in a writing slump, and Alex/Zane, the MMC, who is the real life billionaire manifestation of the man that she’s been seeing in her dreams.
I went into this book expecting a cutesy fluffy fall romance with a billionaire trope, all things I was excited for. I ended up dnf-ing this book around halfway. The writing style did not appeal to me and while the character’s reactions and growing connection seemed genuine, the things they would say as well as the pacing was off to me - there was some sort of disconnect with the elements of the story and the writing that prevented me from enjoying this.
I did enjoy the start of the book immensely as well, but between the coffee shop meeting and how long it took for them to enter into the fake-dating aspect, it felt prolonged. Her relationship with her close friends was one of the things that kept me reading, as it was incredibly funny and real. That being said while this wasn't for me, the fall theming and the billionaire trope were well done, and I did enjoy the “magic”/ psychic elements within the novel.

Fall I Want is such a sweet, fall-themed romcom! Truly a feel-good, lighthearted read that’s perfect for embracing all the autumnal vibes and delighting in the coziness of a small town setting!
Autumn and Zane quickly become close. When Autumn’s ex returns, Zane pretends to be her boyfriend and they make a plan to fake date through the holidays. Suddenly, their relationship goes from pretending to real feelings. And, they both soon begin to realize some deeper truths about who they really are and what they want.
Autumn and Zane had a more unique relationship and seeing how they navigate it was super fun. The insta love worked well in this book and it was great seeing how Autumn and Zane were simultaneously discovering their feelings for each other while trying to fight them. The cozy town, fall vibes, adventure, and romance all make this a perfect read!

First off I feel like I should disclose this is my first ever Lyra Parish book. I also didn’t realize when I received an ARC of Fall I Want it had already been independently published and was now being picked up by a traditional publisher. Now none of those things I mentioned mean I disliked the book. I definitely enjoyed it, but it wasn’t perfect.
I think my biggest issue with the book was how slow it was. Which is still wild to me because the book started off so strong. Fall I want had literally everything I love in a cozy fall romance. We have the opening scenes taking place in coffee shop. Plus our MFC is struggling author and she meets a billionaire coming to hide out in her small town to lick his wounds. Plus we even had a dash of some magical realism.
But then literally 45% in Zane & Autumn were already saying “I love you” and from that point forward not a lot happened. It basically just became a book of loudly each character could express their love for the other. Now don’t get me wrong there’s nothing wrong with that but the book didn’t need to be nearly as long as it was if that was the direction we were going with. I wish we could’ve had more moments of duking out the Celine/Sebastian/Nick drama. All of that felt wrapped up way too quickly.
Overall, I enjoyed the book and even with its faults I’d still recommend people read it. I just know person to wont be picking up a trophy copy. But thank you to Avon & HarperCollins & NetGalley for allowing me to read and review it.

This book started off strong but the whole seeing the MMC in her dreams thing wasn't for me. There were also a few bits that had me rolling my eyes. (The MMC literally said the FMC smelled like, sugar, spice and everything nice like what?) I did like the cozy vibes and their banter and cute little moments but the instalove was too much for me.
Like marrying after just a couple of weeks is crazy especially with how long these book is there could be more slow burn or even some time skips. (Though honestly the book felt longer than it needed to be, I found myself slogging through the last 100 pages, oof.) There was also just endless smut near the end like I'm here for it but it was kinda like, damn, again? Already? Overall it wasn't quite what I expected but in the end a cute read. ✩
Thank you to NetGalley, Lyra Parish, and the publisher for providing this eARC in exchange for an honest review.

The beginning of this book was so good and so many good vibes but about half way through it was just a repeat of the same thing. It could have been shortened by like 100 pages and been so good!

This was such a sweet, cozy read where there were literally no stakes, no 3rd act break up and definitely a lot of spice!! I had a great time reading this as it was the perfect read to just sit back and feel those warm and fuzzies!

Who could pass up a Fall read before Fall is actually here? This book was adorable and everything I needed. Fall is my favorite time of year so this was perfect for me. I absolutely loved Zane and Autumn's story. Zane is the perfect book boyfriend I must add.
This book was a perfect escape of the crazy summer heat. Was definitely sucked into this book from the beginning. Only thing that was missing was apple cider and a pumpkin spice latte. A perfect fall read if you want to kick off Fall early.

Fall I Want was such a cute, fall-themed romance! Zane and Autumn have such a unique story. I loved how they weren’t immediately ready to become friends or more, but once they allowed those feelings to develop, they truly did. Zane was the peak book-boyfriend who is protective while allowing Autumn to have her voice, and I loved that so much.
Instalove isn’t usually a favorite trope of mine, but it worked in this book! I loved seeing how Zane and Autumn were having identical revelations but simultaneously fighting them. Autumn’s friendships along with Zane’s sister, Harper, really showed the power of finding the right person while not losing those you love already- which I appreciated so much!
This book was so cute! Cozy Creek is the perfect setting for romance, and Fall I Want definitely set us up for more to come there. Not only am I going to read Lyra Parish’s backlog of books, I am going to be SAT for when the next Cozy Creek book comes out!! I am soooo ready for Jules and Nick’s story!
Thank you to Avon and Harper Voyager for the opportunity to read and review this book! I received a free advance copy of this book via NetGalley and am voluntarily leaving a review. All opinions expressed are my own.

Lyra Parish really said let’s take the feel good vibes of a hallmark story and make it spicy and magical! This is a great little cozy billionaire romance set in a small town. It’s a quick read and fast romance. I’m not usually a big fan of insta love stories but this one had me hooked with the prophecies and love spells. This is a perfect read for fans of Hallmark Movies, Gilmore Girls, and Practical Magic. ✨🎃

This ARC checked every box on my mood-reading list! With cozy fall vibes and a heartwarming storyline, it was exactly the kind of read I didn’t know I was craving.
The heroine—a small-town barista and aspiring author—finds herself rebuilding after a cheating ex, while the hero, the son of a wealthy resort owner, is laying low from his celebrity status and a toxic past relationship. When their worlds unexpectedly collide, what starts as a spark quickly turns into something much deeper—a beautifully developed, slow-burn romance that feels both fated and believable.
One of the things I appreciated most was how the story let the love grow and stay. No frustrating third-act breakup, no unnecessary second-guessing—just two people falling for each other and continuing to show up for one another until the very end.
And the spice? Sizzling. Seriously, the steamy moments were incredibly well done without overshadowing the emotional connection.
This was such a satisfying, feel-good read. I’m officially on the hunt for more romances just like this!

I'm giving this book three stars, because it does bring some fall vibes in the first half of the book that are some Hallmark level stuff. Otherwise, this novel felt like I was reading the wildest fever dream. Autumn (born on Halloween, favorite season is of course Fall) works as a barista in a small town even though she has a fancy college degree. Zane Alexander is a billionaire hot mess who masquerades as a man who just wants to escape into anonymity after a break-up. It's pretty much insta-love between these two characters, but that's okay because it was predestined by his modern-day seer of a sister and Autumn's own wet dreams. After two dates, they decide that naturally they should get married, even though they haven't even told each other that they love each other yet.
The first half of the book was promising, even with the aforementioned elements as part of the plot, but I feel like the second half of the book just loses steam, and builds up to this wedding trip Zane and Autumn are taking only to fall flat. There were a lot of different elements in the book and I just feel like none of them are adequately addressed or wrapped up by the drawn-out ending of it.
People looking for a spicy, feel-good fall romance with billionaire-level spoiling and insta-love themes will enjoy this novel.
Thank you to NetGalley, Harper Voyager, and Lyra Parish for an eARC of this novel to review.

FALL I WANT
Cozy Creek Series Book 1
By Lyra Parish
This was such a sweet fall treat for me! I loved these characters and this town so much! Zane is so “dreamy😉”, I loved Autumns’ nature and Harper was such an intriguing character to me. The storyline as a whole was such a fairytale and anyone looking for a sweet romantic escape will truly enjoy their time in this wonderful setting. I do wish I’d have read this in the fall but there are 5 more books to build on in this series so no regrets!
In this installment, Lyra writes with a sweet natured simplistic prose, delivering an easy-going romance without all the drama and angst. Heavy on the spice, this one will be a favorite for fall romance lovers 4.5 ⭐️

This book had such potential! I absolutely loved the first 75% of the book! I couldn’t put it down! A small town girl runs into the man of her literal dreams. He’s a big city man from “old” money running away from his big city problems for an extended vacation at his mother’s vacation home which he inherited when she passed away. They fall in love and make it a point to get to know each other. His sister says they’re fated to marriage. This story went on too long and should have ended at the wedding and the rest could have been shortened into an epilogue. It was cute and I am happy I read it.

What a wonderful surprise Fall I Want turned out to be. It was everything wonderful about a Hallmark movie, with a nice bit of added spice. I loved the fun magic of the Fall season and about following love, even if it feels fast. There were so many elements that made me smile and though some times it felt silly, it was a nice respite from the constant drudgery of many angst ridden romances that are out there. There were background elements that had some angst, but the magic solved it all. If only a lovely millionaire would take me on a grand adventure.
Excited to read the other books in the Cozy Creek series, all featuring the magical mountain setting.

Okay I really wanted to like this book and I did at some parts. Overall 2.5 maybe 3 stars. This book is very insta-love. They know each other for like 15 chapters and are in love. There’s no yearn there’s no need, it’s just “let’s “fake date” oh wait your too hot” literally they’re dating like 5 seconds later.
I would give the intimate scene probably a 🌶️🌶️ maybe 🌶️🌶️.5. The scenes weren’t overall graphic to me but the shear quantity of scenes I think gives it this rank. Truthfully they felt like poorly written wattpad scenes.
The story moves fast which is nice at some parts but others literally make no sense. Going from lowkey dating to “I want to marry you right now” in the span of two chapters is crazy. Don’t get me wrong at some point I loved how quick it was to read but at other points I was just like oh okay now they’re banging again.
He calls her pumpkin like aw but than he says “Bred and Fed” when referring to her and that icked me out to the fullest extent.
I’m sad I couldn’t love this book more because I love fall books but this was not it.
Overall 2.5/5⭐️, 2.5/5 🌶️🌶️
Thank you NetGalle and Avon and Harper Voyager publishing for this arc

The cover of this book is absolutely gorgeous and I was really looking forward to a cozy, fall, spicy, hallmark type romance. The first half of the book really delivered on the cozy fall vibes. I fell in love with the town of Cozy Hollow and its witchy vibes. As the story continued we moved further and further from those fall vibes and things started to fall apart a little, in my opinion.
When our main characters first meet there is an immediate spark, but they also immediately argue. I was really excited about this dynamic but in a very short time the arguing was off the table and the story become very insta-love focused.
Ultimately, the romance felt rushed. There were also a ton of side characters I didn’t feel were probably introduced so it made it hard to care about them. There is also basically no conflict in this book. And any conflict that does take place is resolved very quickly.
I also thought the spice took over the book. The build up was great, but after the first time it felt like there was a spicy scene in every chapter.

Its cute. Its cozy. Its perfect for fall. Fall I want is the first of six in the Cozy Creek Collection.

This book was average for me. I enjoyed the fall vibes and setting and it would make for a cute October read. There’s a lot of cussing and after a while I wondered if either character could speak without saying F this and that. There’s MMC gives a bit of creeper vibes in the beginning and there’s hidden infatuation. Halfway through it’s all love bombing. I think this would be a cute fall read for the right reader, it just wasn’t me.

Magic is in the moment. Magic is all around us. I hope you can still find it.

This was a super fun fall read that really puts you in the mood, and it will be PERFECT to start the season when it is rereleased with those stunning edges in mid-August! It was like Hallmark, but with some spice. I absolutely adored Autumn and our side characters (I am SO excited for the next couple, I need info please!), and Cozy Creek and its vibes in general. This is a billionaire romance and a dreamy romance (pun intended) with a tiny dash of witchy stardust and lots of pumpkin spice, and it was really just a fun ride as Zane and Autumn faced down their ghosts and found themselves in each other again. I loved all the events that happened throughout, like the pumpkin patch, and the shopping day, and the other wedding, and so on and so forth. The thing that missed the mark for me on this one? It was too long, unnecessarily so. I ATE UP the first half of the book, but once they fell in love and accepted it, it felt like that was…it? It felt dragged out and the whole premise then “falling in love” was originally built on with the mutually beneficial fake dating was thrown out the window, and I was wondering why, because while I understood and did enjoy how the story went, I found myself wishing we had more of that tension and the faking they had to pull off as they got to know each other and each other’s worlds. All in all, super fun fall read that I recommend!

Lyra Parish is an author that’s been on my radar for a few years now, but somehow I I had never gotten around to actually reading any of her previous novels. When Fall I Want came out last year, it caught my eye right away, but once again, I managed to just never get to it on my never-ending TBR list. Now, having received an ARC ahead of its trad publication, I genuinely wish I had found the time to read it sooner, and I’m so, so glad I didn’t overlook it this time around.
Autumn and “Alex” — AKA Zane Alexander — are one of those couples, y’all. From the very beginning, the tension between them crackles like a live wire, even when they find themselves repeatedly at odds. While not every reader will enjoy the quick (and somewhat) sudden shift from would-be adversaries to cautious friends, I personally appreciated the low-angst approach this novel takes. For me, fall is one of the happiest times of year, and while this book gleefully dances right over the line of realism, it fully embraces light and fun and joy as it goes, and for me, that sort of perfectly aligns with my feelings on the season at the center of this work.
I have to admit that I was hesitant at first when I saw just how prominently the “spooky” elements would be woven into this story. PNR is not usually my bag, and while the “witchy” bits are treated with a fair bit of skepticism even amongst the central characters, I wasn’t sure I could be convinced to get on board with the supernatural connection between Autumn and Zane. While not every mystical moment landed for me, I will confess that I was much less bothered by them than I expected to be. The hints of the supernatural are there, but this is still very much a contemporary romance—just one sprinkled with a little pixie dust.
With both of the MCs navigating their own heartbreaks and grief, there are certainly elements of this book handled more seriously, but they’re no less well executed than the shenanigans and grand gestures. In fact, the growth that each of the MCs experiences (especially Zane) is heartfelt and hard-won. Watching them grow individually as they find themselves growing together was a favorite element of this often madcap rom-com.
Though it came with a bit of a slow start for me, once I got invested (somewhere around the 30% mark), I was well and truly invested. With all the sincerity and emotion packed in alongside a generous dose of fake-dating hijinks, meddlesome townsfolk, and fall festivities, this book surprised and delighted me. If you’re looking for heavy angst or a more serious treatment of the “spooky” subplot, this may not be the book for you, but if you’re in the market for some straight-up serotonin, some spicy/swoony/silly romance, and gratuitous discussion of pretentious coffee and pumpkin-themed puns, Fall I Want is a can’t-miss read. I’m already looking forward to revisiting Autumn, Zane, and Cozy Hollow when I can curl up in a comfy sweater and watch the leaves fall. Lyra Parish has blessed us with seasonal classic that will make you swoon at any time of year.
