This novel started out with an interesting premise and I liked the setting and friendships of the main character, Autumn. The love interest, billionaire Zane, was completely rude to her upon their first meeting, but then within a few days the insta-love began and erased any possible tension that the frenemies or enemies to lovers trope started the book off with. From there, the unrealistic dialogue and excessive love proclamations, lack of a plot or any discernible conflict, marriage after a few weeks (because, hey, why not? his psychic sister predicted it), and cringy sex scenes result in a hot mess that went on way too long. I started skimming around chapter 30 because I won’t get those minutes of my life back. I would not recommend this book.

Instantly fell in love with the characters! Lyra has a way with bringing in characters from previous books and incorporating them into new pieces of works so we are constantly seeing the characters we love over and over again even if they aren't part of the same series. It's so good.
Fall I Want brings in small town romance with a MMC who's just looking for an escape and a MFC who's looking for a sign. When Zane Alexander walks into the coffee shop and tells Autumn that her coffee sucks, she doesn't think that's the sign she's looking for.
This friends to lovers, quick, fall read is wonderful. Everyone needs to read this book for the feel good feelings and the uplifting vibe that even the odd one out gets good things that happen to them.

Thank you to NetGalley and HarperCollins for this ARC in exchange for my honest review!

Actually, this is a 2.5-star read for me because...

The fake dating moments are too short, and I couldn't say this is the fake dating trope.

He falls first?? Nope, they both have the same feeling at the very first sight.

I like spicy book but not this kind of spicy...

SO I don't like this book that much, sorry.

Thank you to NetGalley and HarperCollins for this ARC in exchange for my honest review!

I'm not typically one to go for billionaire romances; however, I am a sucker for a small town romance, especially one set in fall, so I thought I'd give it a try.

While I loved the premise of this book, the execution ultimately fell a little flat for me personally.

I wish this had leaned a little more into the magical elements that were present throughout, especially when it came to Autumn's dreams of Zane prior to their meeting as adults. I feel like getting more insight on those dreams would've heightened the experience for us as the reader, of them seeing each other in person for the first time and would've allowed us to experience some of the deja vu moments with Autumn as she experienced them instead of finding out after the fact that it had already happened in one of her dreams.

I did find at times that this gave me Wattpad-esque vibes which kind of pulled me out of the story a little bit. The overuse of "bestie" in exchange for best friend, how nonchalantly Zane threw his money around, and how quickly their relationship progressed was a slight struggle for me. Also, while I didn't mind the spice, I am learning what verbiage I do and don't mind when it comes to those scenes and some of the verbiage for these scenes just didn't work for me.

Overall, I still enjoyed the story and it is perfect for someone looking for a Hallmark fall romance with some spice.

I was also hoping the ending of this set up the next book in this series for a story on Nick and Jules, though it doesn't appear there is one at all. It definitely seemed like there could be potential there with that and it would have been cool to see a domino effect with the books in the series where each author set the next up with its lead romance couple. Though I am still interested to see where the rest of the series set in Cozy Creek goes.

Thank you so much I o NetGalley and Harper Voyager for this ARC!

I loved the premise for this book, but I think it was a bit too cozy for me. I also felt Alex’s problems were self inflicted in a lot of ways, and I spent most of the book rolling my eyes at him.

I felt Autumn needed to get a backbone, everyone bullied her and pushed her around. Yes, including Alex, I was not a fan of most of their interactions. Yes, he thought she was cute, but he was just an asshole about it.

Fall I Want is the perfect cozy read, if you're looking to curl up with your favorite blanket and a Pumpkin Spice Latte or your favorite tea. The setting of Cozy Creek was a perfect backdrop to Autumn and Zane's romance. I loved the small town feel, friendships, and family connections that both characters had to the town.

I will say that the romance between Autumn and Zane is the entire plot of the book. There is some minor conflict, but it is very low stakes, and I found myself wanting a bit more from the story. Dream premonitions and psychic visions play a small part in the story, and I think, for me, the story would have benefited by leaning into the paranormal storyline a bit more.

If secret billionaires, emotional baggage, and cozy romance are your guilty pleasures, Fall I Want by Lyra Parrish delivers a story that feels like sipping a spiced latte with a dash of cinnamon heartbreak. Autumn is unlucky in love but makes a killer latte, while Alexander is broody with a capital B., and their ghosts crackles like firewood. Parrish masterfully balances cozy autumn vibes with just enough emotional depth to keep your heart invested—and maybe a little bruised.

While I wasn’t necessarily left pining for more, and some of it is a little cliche - she reminds us that love doesn’t wait for your life to be perfectly tidy; it shows up anyway, often uninvited and usually holding a cappuccino. With wit, heart, and a dash of witchy, Fall I Want is the kind of book that makes you want to light a candle, grab a blanket, and believe that messy hearts can still find their match.

Thanks to NetGalley and HarperCollins Publishers for this ARC that left me fiending for Fall.

The book started really strong, with some really interesting ideas for a romcom- but sadly about half way through I felt as if it had turned into a “how many tropes can I put in this story?” The plot got muddy and there wasn’t ever really that 80% breakup that we’ve come to know of romcoms… very uninspired with this unfortunately.

Fall is my absolute favorite. The new cover is so cute! (The old one was too)

This was my first “billionaire” romance. I have stayed away in fear they’d be arrogant, but I love Zane. He’s not some stuck up person who thinks he’s better than everyone because he’s rich. (He is plenty grumpy though - which I love a good grumpy MMC)

The first half of the book was super strong! The MC’s are over 30 and I AM HERE FOR IT! I’m getting tired of reading romances about 20 year olds. This has all the cozy fall vibes! There’s a “fated mates” trope sprinkled in there to give it a little bit of a witchy/magic feel. There was good chemistry between the MC’s.

The second half kind of fell off a little though. some of their conversations started to feel really repetitive. And they definitely wanted to do it, a lot lol. (I enjoy spice in books!) it just felt like it was happening too often and taking away from any plot.

It was also an extremely long book. Almost 500 pages. It definitely could have been shortened given how much felt repetitive.

Such a cozy read. Perfect for fall! I would recommend this to anyone who enjoys romance books. I would read more books by this author.

⭐⭐⭐.5/🌶️🌶️🌶️ Fall I Want by Lyra Parish

I thought this was going to be a sweet, fluffy, fall inspired Rom-com... And it was. But with spice that made me sit up straight, turn back a page, and read it again. 🥵🔥🥵🔥 Think quality over quantity here.

Zane and Autumn meet when they are both feeling at a crossroads after having been betrayed by people close to them. What starts out as a friendship quickly progresses despite the fears they both have at being burned again. Finding out they are more closely connected than they originally thought could change everything for them.
Fall I Want by Lyra Parish is cozy, sweet, a little magical, with all the autumnal vibes and delicious spice you could want. It’s a great palate cleanser, but also just a lovely warm hug!
It can be read as a standalone but is a also a piece in the larger Lyra Parish fictional world puzzle.

Fall I Want is the perfect mix of cozy and spicy a small town romantic comedy that wraps you in fall vibes while setting your heart on fire. With fake dating, a billionaire hero who falls first, and just the right dash of emotional healing, this story is an autumn treat from start to finish.

Set in the charming town of Cozy Creek, the book delivers everything you’d expect from a feel good romance: witty banter, festive fall traditions, and sizzling chemistry. The dynamic between the main characters is both playful and heartfelt, with moments that will make you laugh, swoon, and maybe even tear up a little.

What sets this book apart is the balance between humor and heart. There’s spice, of course plenty of it but it’s layered with genuine emotion and character growth. The small town setting adds warmth and charm, making it easy to imagine yourself there, sipping cider and watching leaves fall.

If you’re a fan of fake dating, billionaire softies, and romance that feels like a warm hug with a bit of heat, Fall I Want is exactly what your TBR needs.

I really enjoyed the first half of this book. The banter and the cozy spooky element to their destined relationship was great. For me, the book went downhill once they got engaged and married right away. I was getting a little tired of the reassuring I love you’s and the word pumpkin. While I enjoyed the spice, it did feel like that was all they did in the last 25% of the book.

I love Lyra, and I love her crossovers with other characters in her different series. But this one...was just off the mark for me. The way this relationship starts is very aggressive and hostile, and not in a cute enemies to lovers way, in a weirdly over the top dickish way. Zane was hard for me to wrap my mind around, he was a love sick jerk who doesn't believe in love but falls in love so much he's been engaged multiple times? The ending also felt long and could have tied up much faster.

Wow. I can’t believe how good this book was. I picked it up because the cover was WAY too pretty not to. But the book lived up to the high expectations I had for it. Absolutely incredible. It was like Pumpkin Spice in a book! The small town sounded beautiful and added to the storyline so well. The tension? Incredible! An amazing story!

I really loved how Fall I Want started out, it was peak fall cozy vibes with small town charm. The setup had me hooked: somewhat enemies to lovers (not really enemies but started off on a bad foot), fake dating, a golden retriever MMC, and a fall setting. I was fully on board for Autumn and Zane’s chemistry and all the flirty, slow burn energy.

But once they fell in love, about halfway through, it started to feel like the book just…kept going without anything new happening. It’s super sweet and romantic, but by that point, it felt like we’d already reached the happily ever after, and the rest of the book was just reading about how in love they are over and over again. It got repetitive

If you’re in the mood for an easy, fall themed read that leans heavy into cozy vibes, and a couple that’s very into each other, this might work for you. It’s cute, but for me, it just could’ve wrapped up a lot sooner.

Thank you NetGalley and Avon and Harper Voyager | Avon a for sending this book for review consideration. All opinions are my own.

This book is available now on KU, but a very cute edition with sprayed edges releases on August 19, 2025.

Autumn, a resident of Cozy Hollow, has been dreaming of this mystery man for years. One day while working at the local coffee shop, who walks in? None other than her mystery dream man himself.

What ensues is a fake dating (that is honestly low stakes because the author doesn’t dwell on that part of the plot at all) character driven romance, that is no-plot-just-vibes. It also has some magical realism where some characters are almost psychics and believe in magic and stuff!

I don’t know how I feel about this book. On one hand some parts were fun, but then on the other it read like a wattpad story, and it was so insta-lovey that I just didn’t understand where the plot went.

Our mmc Alex was mean to our fmc Autumn at the very beginning for quite literally the dumbest reason ever. But then he changes his mind after one conversation with his sister & started being nice and expected her to just play nice too.

It was super cheesy, cringey & hallmark-y. It gave small town vibes, billionaire romance & insta-love. It definitely is a book you would want to read in the Fall. But I would recommend it if you want a no-plot-just-vibes type of book and like the previous mentioned tropes! It just wasn’t for me 🙃

I loved the first half of this book! It gave perfect fall vibes, but the second half of the book kinda fell off for me personally! I still would def recommend! It did give the cozy fall vibe.

Set in the fictional ski resort town of Cozy Creek, Colorado, barista Autumn instantly feels a connection to the stranger ordering a pretentious coffee drink one September morning. Why does this Alexander seem to match perfectly with Mr. Dreamy, the man she has been dreaming of for years? After their meet cute goes wrong, he shows up again and again, with sparks flying each time.

Perfect fluffy fall romance, definitely gave me Tessa Bailey vibes! This is my first by this author, and I enjoyed how she was able to bring so much lightness while also covering heavy topics (grief, loss, forgiveness). There is a sense of magic that could have easily pulled this into a completely unbelievable story, but the author made it still grounded even with the fast pace nature of their romance.

Read this for:

🍂 Found family
🎃 Insta-love / fated mates
🍂 Witchy / magical vibes
🎃 Billionaire Romance
🍂 Hallmark but make it extra steamy
🎃 No 3rd act breakup

Fall I Want was exactly what I needed! Autumn feels stuck and heartbroken. Zane feels deviated and lost. One magical moment fixed it all and helped them both find there biggest joy in life, each other. Between their adorable meet cute, they way these characters fell hard and fast, plus throw in a whole lot of sass and it was a book I couldn’t put down! Loved it! I felt like the story was an instant kind of romance where all the stars aligned. Where some books make it seem not believable this one made it feel even though it’s not totally believable you are so enthralled into the story you don’t even care!
