Thanks Netgalley and publisher for giving me this volume 1 for free!

Woah a lots of things were happening that I can’t keep up man lol! I was actually super confused like there were a lot of time skips going back and forth with a lot of daggers being thrown at FL.

The art and the storytelling were truly amazing with this. Once I started, I couldn't stop. I just flew through these pages and I wish it was longer. I have so many questions that are sure to be answered in future volumes, and I will be impatiently waiting for them to come out so I can get answers.

Misato had a good life on her island only for it to all be taken away from her. We don't really know why yet, but despite everything, she has managed to stay true to herself. I was rooting for her every step of the way, and I felt all her emotions with her.

I really want to know what became of Jun and if he still remembers Misato, and I hope her friendship with Yochan will find a way to prevail despite his awful family doing everything they can to make them both miserable

I think I will like later volumes more. Volume one was depressing and more than a little over the top, but I think it has given main character Misato a solid foundation for growth.

The background details also feel very vague. I hope we get a bit more about the birth mother and the doctor and how those past decisions led to what happens to Misato later. Once we really dig into that mystery, I think the plot will sharpen considerably.

As for the art, the style is great for portraying character emotions, but backgrounds lack detail and are therefore less distinct and grounding.

I’ll most likely keep going with the series, because I was definitely left curious enough
