I adored Collide. Spiral was nice. But this? Top-tier! Easily five stars.
Dylan has been a standout in every book he’s shown up in so far, no matter how brief, and he did NOT disappoint in Revolve. Sierra and Dylan are perfectly matched. Both are coming in hot and fighting to reclaim something they’ve lost. Sierra is clawing her way back after a devastating accident, determined to become who she once was (or maybe someone more real). Dylan has spent far too long desperately burying his pain in parties and pretense, unsure how to exist beyond the mask he wears for the world. They are both lost, hiding behind sarcasm and bravado, and what a satisfying time to watch them break down each other’s walls.
Their dynamic? Addictive.
Their tension? Off the charts.
Their banter? Sharp, flirty, and will have you kicking your feet.
Everything I could ever hope for, and more. Truly, we were blessed with this story. 🩷

You know what I love almost as much as a childhood friends to lovers story... a good redemption story😩❤️🔥. This book played on the common tropes--enemies to lovers, forced proximity, hockey romance, found family, romcom--and made it feel fresh, almost like a new take on the tropes🥺
I will not lie, I lowkey could not remember who Dylan was 😅 which is INSANE cause I have read Spiral and Collide multiple times, but his character did not stick with me idek lol but we get to see more about his personal life... his familial struggles and his internal guilt :(( I felt really bad cause he is portrayed as the "playboy" of the group, and I judged him, but he was just struggling and using partying to cope🥺❤️🩹
Then we meet Sierra who i am not going to lie is my favorite of the girlies in the Off the ice series, and she is fresh off an injury hiatus and ready to get back to competitive skating💕 I loved how gusty and fearless she was throughout the book and when i say this girl did not take any BS omg her banter with Dylan was so peak cause of that lolll🤣
I was rooting for them both as a couple and as individuals, giving the book more depth. Thats soomething I love about the authors writing style. She would allow the reader to make assumptions about the characters from the start and slowly, through multiple chapters we get to see the characters grow individually then support themselves together as a couple. It was the same in Spiral and it was perfected in this book❤️🩹
Cannot wait for you guys to read this lovely story when it releasesss October 14th, 2025!✨
Thank you so much to Netgalley and Berkley Publishing for the ARC of this book!! 💕🌷🫧

I enjoyed this!! It was very cute and an easy read, but not anything special.
I really liked Sierra and Dylan’s dynamic and banter, I think their chemistry and relationship came across well and developed at a nice pace!! I also really like Sierra as a character, and her journey throughout this book felt real and honest and I was rooting for her the whole way through! I had a harder time connecting with Dylan, but he did ultimately grow on me!
What I didn’t love as much was his decision regarding hockey and figure skating; I felt like that was really sudden and out of nowhere and would have come across better had there been more seeds planted throughout the book. I also didn’t like the injury towards the end, that felt like it was just thrown in there and then glossed over very quickly.
So, still a cute book that I could see other people really enjoying, but not the best read for me!

This was a really enjoyable read. Sierra hit the sweet spot r.e. being bullheaded but not annoying. I wanted more justice for her. Like why can't she punch Justin? He deserved bodily harm. Anyways, I appreciated that both main characters were athletes in their own right. The steam was great. My main criticism is that Dylan's personality felt a little... unbelievable. He was so impulsive in some ways, but so patient, measured, and emotionally intelligent in others, and it just didn't feel real. Sometimes words would come out of his mouth that belonged to a fifty year old therapist, not a college-aged hockey player who punched his dad at a vow renewal. But whatever- it's fiction! I enjoyed it, and I would reach for it again.

Thank you SO SO SO SO much to Berkley and NetGalley for this e-ARC of one of my most anticipated reads of the year. I really thought my favorite was Eli, but Dylan is literally EVERYTHING AND THEN SOME. The more I saw of him in Collide and Spiral, the more I was intrigued, but he was just the sweetest person inside and out and I missed him the second the epilogue ended. Don't even get me started on Sierra Romanova. I love her so incredibly much, and rather than go down the usual toxic route of too pressuring parents and terrible coaches (which I wouldn't have minded because it's only usual because it's what is typical and the norm), I am so glad that Sierra had a support system with a great coach and parents who truly cared about her well-being. I loved that although she was dubbed the ice queen, she was honestly just SO soft. I mean, come on, she was knitting! I really think this plot worked well for both of them, and I'm glad to see that Sierra was relearning how to fall back in love with the sport that was her whole life and how it was so much different with Dylan. With Dylan, I'm so glad that Bal took a really emotional journey with him and really emphasized how with Sierra, things were so much different because feelings were involved, while he had been drowning himself and partying and meaningless intimacy just to feel something. I do think that last part could have been better. I think because Sierra just emphasized how much Dylan was The Best she ever had (both emotionally and intimately), that I was starting to get a little annoyed because Dylan wasn't saying it the same way explicitly the same way she was over and over. Hopefully in the finished copy there's something about that—just a simple line of acknowledgment would be perfect. I know if it was left out it was supposed to be implied, like it was The Best simply because there were actual feelings involved this time and it was real for him while every other time was meaningless and decidedly Not Real, and Sierra was inexperienced, but there was just a line in the book where she mentions how she wants to be good for him, and yes, he's in love with her so it'll always be good, but I don't know, I guess that affirmation would have also been nice?
I really am hoping that that does get added in some way or the other in the finished copy but if not, I can read between the lines. And you know what, it's good that this time it was sober and Real and had love involved, and the "mechanics" of it all are just due to inexperience, which is understandable. It could've been the worst physically ever but because there's so much love, who even cares? I'm just rambling and this point but! There were also SOOOO many typos that it was honestly a little distracting at times, so I hope that gets fixed in the end as well. BUT oh my god, Revolve is truly the best book in the series so far.
And I'm guessing the next book will be our favorite guy starting with a K and a certain Coach's daughter introduced in this book...? I am SO excited.

oh my god i absolutely loved this book! i loved the characters, i loved the romance, i loved the pacing, i loved the ending and the epilogue.
this is my first ever arc and im so glad it was because it was beautiful. i absolutely love sierra, i love how witty and fierce she is. i always liked how she was confident but also insecure sometimes at the same time.
dylan was such a well written character. i love how protective he is of sierra and how caring he is with his friends even when he doesn’t fully show it. i think the chemistry between dylan and sierra is so beautiful and it felt so natural.
i love how he cares for her and how she cares for him.
KIAN THE KING!!! he’s so funny throughout the whole book even without trying. i love the new friendships that are formed in the middle towards the end of the book.
one thing i thought that could be better is if more scenes between dylan and sierra happened. more scenes outside of what they were doing. it would have been beautiful to have seen them go on more dates but other than that, i can say this book was phenomenal.
i’ve never really read a contemporary sports romance book but this is was an amazing start to me jumping into this genre.
a huge thank you to the publisher for this arc! when this book comes out i highly recommend all of you who think about reading it, to read it. you won’t be disappointed!!!

One night of partying too hard leaves hockey player Dylan in the hot seat after a failed drug test... and right in the path of figure skater Sierra. Sierra is coming back to the sport after a grievous injury and needs a partner to train and compete with to get herself back in the game. Can these two seemingly opposite athletes find enough common ground to get them both back on track?
Of all the writers of this style of novel, I like Bal Khabra's the best. The characters are real, flawed people. There is enough humour in the situations to balance out the heavy baggage most of the characters are holding. And if you like spicy romance, that's there too. Enjoy!

This book. You need to read this right now. Revolve is a figure skater x hockey player romance that follows main characters Sierra and Dylan. Sierra had a bad skating accident that forced her off the ice and after dealing with her traumas, she’s eager to get back to skating. The only problem is that her former skating partner quickly moved on to a new partner after her accident. sierra is desperate for a skating partner and she is running out of time to find one. In comes Dylan: fiery, hot headed hockey player who has just been suspended for reckless behavior during a game. He needs to prove himself to his coach and the higher ups at the school in order to be reinstated to the hockey team, and this is where he and Sierra are partnered up for the upcoming skating season. Sierra is not happy about this arrangement but does what she needs to do for her skating career.
I really loved this book!! I wasn’t sure what to expect going into this as I've never read anything by Bal Khabra previously, but I was pleasantly surprised! Dylan gave me the ick early on in the book, but he quickly redeemed himself. I loved the relationship that formed between Sierra and Dylan throughout the book. The found family aspects in this book were strong as well, which made the reading experience a lot more cozy.
I especially enjoyed the plot of this book. While it has a typical romance plot, there are some differences that made it really stand out from the rest. I really enjoyed how the third act scenario was written, which is unusual for me. Overall, I had a really enjoyable time reading this book and I would recommend it to anyone who likes sports romances and bold fmcs. Even if you don’t like sports romances typically, I’d still suggest to give this one a try!!

Holy crumpets, I loved this book so much! I am a sucker for a good figure skating romance and this one really delivered!
Dylan and Sierra were so cute, but let be honest, Dylan was everything! He was the perfect blend of sugar and spice. When he was down, your heart broke for him, and when he was happy, it actually made you physically smile. So much love!
My biggest complaint is that sometimes it was really difficult to follow Sierra’s emotions and why she was feeling them. This was especially true at the beginning where it was really difficult to follow why she was hostile to Dylan. It was alluded to here and there and was somewhat explained more later on in the book but I think it would have been better to give the readers a better picture earlier on.
Another minor issues was that sometimes it felt like a lot was happening off page. This may be because they happen in previous or future books and since this is the first book I have read of the series this is fair, but there were small things that I think were specific to this plot that just seemed thrown in. I also would have liked to have had the scene where Dylan watched the video of Sierra’s fall included in more detail instead as more of a look-back.
Overall, really enjoy this and will be going back to read the other books in the series!

Revolve (e-arc review)
Rating: 4/5
Spice: 2/5
Thank you to NetGalley, Bak Khabra, and Berkeley Romance for the e-arc in exchange for an authentic review!
“But the love I feel for Sierra is different. It’s the rhythm of my heart, the air I breathe—it’s the love I hold closest.”
“I’ll love her as long as she lets me, and probably forever after that—even if she doesn’t feel the same.”

Plot:
After a near death experience on the ice that left with her panic attacks, Sierra is back at Dalton University trying to figure skate again and in dire need for a partner. After getting kicked off the ice from a failed drug test and possibly losing the chance of being drafted into the NFL, Dylan needs to show that he is a changed person in order to earn his time on the ice and a possibility to go pro. The figure skating world is waiting for Sierra’s return and in order to do so, she needs a partner and the only person who knows the ice as well as her is Dylan who can’t stop pushing her buttons.

Thoughts:
WOW BAL KHABRA DID IT AGAIN! I’m a huge fan of this series and loved it so much! This book had me laughing and smiling! Also, the banter/flirting had my jaw on the floor! I love how feisty Sierra was and how Dylan didn’t care but continue to flirt with her!! Sierra’s character arc was so well done! From being one of the best skater to struggling to get back on the ice and then being able to do it again with the help of Dylan. Her growth was everything! And then Dylan, he is carrying so much on his shoulders and refuses to let anyone help him because he doesn’t want to burden anyone yet he is Mr. Funtime. Ugh, I wished we got a more detailed glimpse of his backstory! Although it was explained, I felt like I didn’t experience his pain well enough (LMAO). Also, I love Dylan so much though! He is words of affirmation king! His nonstop supporting words for Sierra was what made me love him so much. Aside from the characters, at times I felt like the timeline was confusing and jumped around a lot. Overall a fun read and I cannot wait for book 4! My guesses for book 4 might be Kian and Scarlet orrrr Sampson and Amara!!

Hockey romance nation. I've tuned in to every installment in this series and i am excited for what i get to indulge in next. You've got yourself a fan Bal Khabra Pleasantly surprised myself with liking this one.

i love when a man is so down bad for his woman and dylan donovan is exactly that. 🧎🏻♀️➡️and sierra my sweet insecure baby who has been through so much but is still so fierce in her own right. i loved her, and loved the way dylan caters to her. a reformed party boy is one of my favorite things 🤭 this was Bal’s horniest book yet, me thinks (and i ate it up!!!) the found family that she has written in this series is some of my favorite 💜 4.25 stars!!!

Read somewhere recently this quote: "You are a piece of the puzzle of someone else's life. You may never know where you fit, but others will fill the hole in their lives with pieces of you".
This is Sierra and Dylan.
Sierra, she's snark and hard edges with a vulnerable core.
Dylan, he's the life of the party hiding a jagged center.
Seemingly opposites but together, they fit like pieces of a puzzle.
Her traumatic physical experience leaves her without a skating partner. And, in walks Dylan, after having made some poor choices which the reader learns is rooted in family discord.
The gradual buildup of their relationship from insta-physical attraction is made believable with the setbacks each character experiences, whether emotional or physical. The prior characters from the first and second in the books enhance this read that can still be devoured as a stand alone.
This book will leave the reader sighing in satisfaction at the end of the read.

more in depth review to come but i loved everything about this one! from the fierce and strong characters to the sweet moments. the tension and chemistry between sierra and dylan was INSANE and i could feel it through the book. bal did an amazing job writing this book as usual and i absolutely recommend it to everyone and anyone who enjoys figure skating romance.

I loved Revolve!! Dylan is my favorite of the Off the Ice series and I was so excited for his book. I absolutely loved the second half of this book. I think the first half needed a little more character insight. Maybe more character details and nuances so you can really understand their personalities and what makes them fit well together and how they balance out each other’s insecurities. There are also some time jumps that need to be shown and just grammar and misspelled words. After the halfway mark I loved the couples chemistry and the spice was sooooo good. Dylan’s confessions of love and his willingness to fall for Sierra was so heartwarming and once Sierra got there I think it showed how right they are for each other. A five star read for me though and my favorite of the series so far!

I’ve really enjoyed Bal Khabra’s Off the Ice series so far but I have to say that Revolve has quickly become my favourite in the series. Dylan and Sierra have my whole heart and their chemistry was off the charts.
Watching Dylan work with Sierra and help her trust herself again was so wholesome. It’s obvious her injury did a number on her as well as her past partner- but he takes it all in a stride. Not to mention, he YEARNS. Typically a hot-headed playboy, it was so satisfying peeling back the layers to the core of him. That is one of my favourite aspects of interconnected stand-alones, having already developed an opinion on a character and then being proven wrong.
While Dylan is obviously the sunshine in our assemble, Sierra is so fiery- I absolutely adored her. Their banter was so good, I could not stop turning the pages. I also loved that we had some anxiety representation here, it’s so fulfilling watching her overcome it.
If you love hockey romance or figure skating- Revolve is full of passion for both sports. The romance was on point, the characters both relatable and adorable and to tie it all together we had our characters finding their passions along the way. Would highly recommend.

Bal does it again! I adored Sierra and Dylan so so much! A perfect hockey romance with just enough heart And fun. I loved watching work together to achieve goals. So fun!

Thank you to Berkley and NetGalley for the ARC!
While I love the idea of sports romances, they're either an absolute hit or painful miss for me. Unfortunately, Revolve was a miss... but I think it will still become a new favorite for many readers.
The pacing felt off, with the beginning very slow. The voice wasn't capturing my attention, and I was skimming from the start, hoping for improvement (spoiler alert: it never improved for me and I did decide to DNF). It felt very surface level and had lots of unrealized potential. If you like bantering characters and aren't too picky about writing style, then this is for you!

Thank you to NetGalley, Berkley, and the author for this eARC in exchange for an honest review.
When Dylan is kicked off his hockey team for reckless behavior, endangering his chances of making it to the NHL draft, and Sierra is recovering from a life-changing accident and left with no figure skating partner, they both are in desperate need of another chance. This is given to them when they are told that if Dylan partners with Sierra and behaves, he'll get to rejoin the team, while Sierra will have a partner to compete with. A win-win situation for everyone, unless... feelings get involved.
This book was adorable!! I loved Sierra and Dylan's story so much, the banter was amazing, and their book is probably my favorite from the series! I loved the progression of their relationship and how Dylan was so supportive every step of the way, treating Sierra like the queen she is. It was amazing how much Dylan was willing to sacrifice for her, and in my opinion, they were perfect for each other.

4 Stars I'm a huge fan of sports romances, so I was thrilled to get an early copy of Revolve, the third book in Bal Khabra's Off the Ice series! Revolve is a fun enemies-to-lovers romance between a figure skater and hockey player, who must team up on the ice.
Olympic figure skater Sierra Romanova used to be confident on the ice, before an accident left her with life-altering injuries and panic attacks when she gets on the ice. Back at Dalton University for her final year of college, she's ready to get back to skating--that is, if she can find a new partner after hers abandoned her. After getting kicked off the Dalton hockey team for reckless behavior, Dylan Donovan seems like the perfect new partner with his skating background. If only he didn't grate on Sierra's every nerve. Dylan is a wildcard that Sierra never saw coming and he's helping her gain her confidence again. Could Dylan and Sierra be the perfect pair, on and off the ice?
Revolve is a story of healing, from wounds both physical and emotional. Healing isn't linear, and Sierra and Dylan are there to support each other with grace and love as they work to overcome the pain of their pasts. Sierra and Dylan complement each other well; they challenge the other to be the best version of themself and never give up. Plus, the chemistry and banter between the two is 🔥 Bal Khabra does an excellent job displaying the intensity of sports like hockey and figure skating. There's so much heart and heat in Revolve, you won't want to put it down!
Thank you Bal Khabra and Berkley for the ARC 💕 Revolve releases October 14th!
