I LOVED THIS ONE!!! Collide was amazing, Spiral wasn't my favourite but this one was so good!!

I love a snarky main character and Sierra was so feisty not taking shit from anyone. The tension between the characters was FIRE 🔥 Their relationship was a constant push and pull until they both eventually give into the insane chemistry. I was kind of worried there was gonna be a third act breakup for a second, but there wasn't. thankfully.

Sierra's character growth and healing was amazing to read and I loved seeing Dylan evolve into a mature and well rounded character. He was beyond selfless. The type of character who would burn down the world for the FMC in a fantasy novel. 🥵 The characters complemented each other perfectly.

Thank you to NetGalley and Berkeley for the eARC in exchange for an honest review!

I have read the other two books in this interconnected sports romance series, and loved them both! Bal Khabra has such a wonderful way of making things fun, but also has the ability to weave in real life experiences within that. This story was no different.

Sierra is fresh onto the ice after an injury, and Dylan has been suspended from the hockey team due to a failed drug test. They team together to get what they need. Dylan has experience in figure skating and also takes the time to help Sierra feel confident after her previous partner left her after the injury.

I think that the foundation they build is very strong and can see them staying together after this book ends. I wish I felt more of their chemistry earlier, but definitely felt it later.

The side characters (aka Kian) made this so much more entertaining and I cannot wait for his story.

“everything could be a blur, and l'd still see you clearly.”

rating. 4.5★

tropes.
- hockey / figure skater romance.
- forced proximity
- reformed playboy
- he falls first

short synopsis.
sierra was an olympian figure skater until a scary accident on the ice left her with panic attacks every time she steps onto the rink. now she’s back for her final year at dalton university, trying to reclaim her shine. enter dylan, a cocky hockey player who was benched from his team for reckless behavior.
he’s in danger of missing the nhl draft, so he hops into figure skating too, mostly to spend more time with her. their banter is as he helps rebuild her confidence, but also pushes all her buttons. when sierra needs a new pairs partner, dylan’s the wildcard she never expected.

my thoughts.
dylan is the typical boy who doesn’t take anything seriously, loves to party, and has that reputation we all know. i love a reformed playboy. he’s charming and funny, my fave traits in a guy to be honest. i always love seeing how little by little he starts falling and showing his soft side for the fmc.

i enjoyed reading about sierra. i liked that she came off as someone with a strong personality, but once you really got to know her, you could see her more vulnerable side.

overall i really liked their relationship and the story. they connected through something they both loved (skating), and the banter was amazing. i also really loved how he cared for her the whole time. both characters had a healing journey to go through mentally, and they really helped each other along the way. that made their love feel deeper and not just surface level.

there were parts of the story that were kinda hard to get through, i’m not sure if it was a writing issue or what, but i still enjoyed it. i read the book in two sittings, the length felt perfect, and i think the story stayed pretty entertaining the whole time.

You know what I love? When we have evidence that our favorite authors are best friends (re- Toren Kane reference!). I read all Ms. Khabra's other books, but this one was my favorite by far. It initially reminded me of Icebreaker, which I also thoroughly enjoyed, but it slowly transitioned into something all its own. We had character growth, which is a must in any story, adorable banter, and found family. All in all, a delightful read. 10/10.

Sierra and Dylan are both struggling to get back on the ice, but for different reasons. Sierra, despite being an Olympic figure skater, is battling PTSD and the abandonment of her doubles partner. Dylan is trying to save his spot in the NHL after being kicked off his college hockey team. Although they push each others' buttons and have an undeniable undercurrent of sexual tension, they may just be the answer to each others' problems.

I have been meaning to read this series for ages. I had heard great things about collide and have an ARC (oops) of Spiral, but this is the one that really sparked my interest to dive in. And I'm glad I did! It gives me Elle Kennedy vibes in the best way, with it being a new adult spicy sports romance that also has a ton of depth and character development. I really enjoyed this book and can't wait to go back and read the first two in the series.

Thanks to Berkley for my eARC! All thoughts and opinions are my own.

5 stars - 9/10

I loved this book. Dylan is as such an amazing mmc and I love how quickly he became obsessed with sierra. I felt they developed a very sweet, understanding love in this book while also have amazing bed chemistry.

I love a reformed playboy, and Dylan was perfect in this way. I also love that when he started to develop feelings for Sierra, he didn’t make a big deal about it. The couple felt mature for the most part.

I was initially worried the story would be too similar to ice breaker with the figure skater x hockey player combination, but it really wasn’t. This story had some predictable parts; but also where Dylan ended up was not what I had expected from the first few chapters.

Both characters in this book had a healing journey to go through mentally, and they both helped each other through that. This made their love connection feel deeper and less surface level.

I love this series and I loved the characters in this book. I hope we get a Kian book because he is so funny and I am always excited for his goofiness to enter the chat 😂

Of course, as this was an ARC read, there is a lot of editing/grammar issues that are still in this version I read. I hope when final edits go through, the story doesn’t change at all. It was honestly so sweet and such a fun read.

4.5 stars for me - I loved it.

If you thought Dylan was funny as a side character WAIT until you get into this guys mind. Truly, I think he is one of those characters that you just cannot help but be drawn to. I first met Dylan as a side character that demanded the spotlight. He was witty and so charismatic that I knew he was hiding his own story. The second I found out that he was book three, I was immediately anticipating what his own story would bring and I think it is safe to say I wasn't disappointed by his internal dialogue.

Revolve started with a bang, with humour, fake smiles masking internal battles, and two characters DESTINED for an enemies to lovers plot. Sierra and Dylan are two halves of a whole that complete each other simply by matching the others energy by arguing like an old married couple. Seriously. Their banter was TOP TIER. I think Bal exceeded my expectation because their love story was so believable simply because of how they understood each other. Even when they hated each other, they took care of each other and I found that the best part of their story.

Tropes:
- college hockey romance
- reformed playboy ish
- witty banter
- hockey player x figure skater
- found family
- forced proximity
- enemies to lovers
- mental health reps
nickname: brat, princess, baby, and si

I first found Bal Khabra's books when she was an indie author, I fell in love with her books when I met Elias and Sage in her second book, Spiral. So, to say the least, this book was highly anticipated. When I began this book, I was entirely captivated because of how developed each character was. Sierra had her own battles, while Dylan had his, and both hid it well, but never from each other. I adored how they immediately understood one another and how—much to Sierra's dismay—they fit together like two halves of a whole.

While I adored their story, parts of the book did fall flat to me, but I enjoyed it overall. I found the conflicts of the story rushed and at times forgotten. In the beginning half, the story focused on their relationship development which I ADORED. It was so fun to see them grow together. With that being said, I think the major conflicts and internal battles Dylan and Sierra faced on their own was slightly ignored.

Maybe I wish harm for myself or I am used to Bal breaking my heart, but I would've loved to see Sierra grow from her internal struggles or at least have to progress while Dylan actively helped her grow from it instead of her just getting over it without attention to it. I think it would have added more depth to the story allowing them to grow.

As a whole, I really liked this story and I loved their love story. I cannot wait to see what more Bal has to offer and I cannot wait to be able to discuss this book with everyone once it comes out.

As always, thank you to Berkley Romance for this ARC copy and this is a completely honest review!!!

Thank you to NetGalley and Berkeley Romance for my advanced readers copy for Revolve. The middle of this book was really solid, but the start was slow and the ending was… not my favorite. Overall, a good time, but a little inconsistent/needed a good edit.

Let’s start with the strengths!

I loved that Sierra, the MFC, was supposed to have this bitchy, ice queen personality and that Dylan, the MMC, embraced and loved it. I really enjoyed their dynamic and how he wanted her to bloom into her true bitchy self, while her previous partner had stifled her. I wish the author had emphasized this aspect of their relationship even more.

The banter between the two main characters was so fun and natural! I absolutely love when the girl is being mean and the guy just thinks they’re flirting. A joy.

The plot is so cute. I am a Cutting Edge girlie to the CORE - so a hockey player turned figure skater?! Yes, ma’am.

I also thought this dealt with some topics that made it more than just surface level: anxiety, body imagine, trauma. We even see Sierra go to a therapist at one point.

Now it’s time for the weaknesses:

The beginning is slow. The whole thing, particularly the first couple chapters, is just an info dump. I feel like all of that could have been cut and we could have just jumped in with Sierra’s chapter. To be fair, I haven’t read the other books in the series, but I felt like the author was giving me a lot of info about the previous books in an inorganic way. But around the 100 page mark, it really finds it stride and becomes super fun.

Sometimes the characters do things that’s seem so out of place/unexpected that it’s jarring. One minute he’s trying to get her to watch a reality show with his friends and the next he’s forcing her to dance on his porch. Which sounds romantic, but was so out of place I couldn’t understand how we got there. At another point, they seem to shower WITH their clothes on. But it’s also unclear if they hook up or not?

Towards the end of the book, the spicy scenes were really well done, but towards the beginning they felt so rushed it was awkward. I’d rather read “closed door” than a half assed sex scene.

I did not like Dylan’s choices towards the end of the book. Don’t get me wrong, I’m alllll for an obsessed, love sick MMC, but Dylan seemed to push it past the extreme. He was so into Sierra that it seemed he lost himself and only cared about her and her desires. If it was a woman making those choices, we’d all be disgusted. I needed him to find a balance. Or for it to be obvious that he gained more than just Sierra from his choices.

This book has so much potential. The middle is great. It just seemed a little unfinished/needs a good edit. The highlights were definitely the banter and Sierra!

I saw surprised.

When I first started this book I found it was too similar to Icebreaker.

However, getting further into the book the similarities disappeared.

Always the roommates/friends are great in this story.

This contemporary sports romance book was great! What ultimately drew me into reading this book was the beautiful cover, but the inside of it is even better! This book had me laughing out loud many times while reading it! This book isn’t all fun and laughter, it is emotional, tense and hopeful! The main characters were perfectly written and balanced, they change and grew within the story. I could really connect to the female main character named Sierra. Even though she had a traumatic accident and gets filled with anxiety and fear, she ends up overcoming that fear and becomes a strong, powerful woman. She reclaims her identity in the story and it is just beautiful. This story is very well structured, believable and contains lovable characters. The minor characters in this story really stood out to me also! This is a medium paced read that is both plot and character driven. This comes with a diverse cast of characters!

I absolutely loved the sports aspect and the romance of this story! The female character became strong because of the male main character named Dylan. They were just absolutely perfect! They develop a connection on and off the ice and I was absolutely blown away by their chemistry! This book is all about second chances, following your passion, identity and self discovery and overcoming trauma! This sports enemies to lovers book is not one you are going to want to miss! Overall, I rate this book a 4.5 out of 5 stars!

“Revolve” is a novel that centers around Sierra Romanova and Dylan Donovan. Sierra is a former Olympian figure skater that had a life altering accident on the ice. Then we have a guy named Dylan, who was a very well known hockey player, ended up being kicked off the team because of reckless behavior. Their paths cross and as the story unfolds, a strong connection builds up between these two! Be sure to read the content warnings. I think anyone who is a fan of hockey/figure skating sports romance would really really enjoy reading this one!

Thank you to NetGalley, author Bal Khabra and Berkley Publishing Group for this electronic ARC of this book in exchange for my honest review. All thoughts and opinions expressed are my own.

This book is expected to be published on October 14, 2025!

I've read the other titles in this series, so I was excited to read this one! It's a great escape read. A bit too spicy for my tastes, but so were the other books, so not really a deal breaker for me.

This book was so good. I loved it. This series overall is so good.

This book reminded of both Icebreaker by Hannah Grace and From Lukov with Love by Mariana Zapata.

The banter was so good. I loved the back and forth between the couple.

I love the found family in this series. The side characters are great

Sierra and Dylan are such amazing characters and I loved reading their story unfold. I have to admit I took a second to warm up to Dylan but by the end I was as in love with him as Sierra was lol. I loved Sierra from the moment we met her though. She was such a strong character and the way Dylan helped her along the way was so sweet. They are the definition of stronger together.

The surrounding characters were just as good as Dylan and Sierra too. I loved their friendships and I'd like to be a part of that friend group please. I also need a book about Kian immediately. He is just the best!

The main reason I didn't give this 5 stars was because the writing was a little disjointed for me. There were times I was a little thrown off as I read. Luckily the characters and the story were good enough that I was able to mostly overlook that.

Thank you Netgalley and Berkley Publishing for the ARC!

I loved how the book was very unflinching in its portrayal of the intensity that comes with sports and recovery. The tension between Sierra and Dylan was off the charts. Their banter was so funny and had me cackling. These two challenged each other to be better and their relationship shows the kind of elevation two people can have when they find the right one.
Sierra was a very relatable FMC for me and it was rewarding to see how she evolved to realize that prioritizing herself shows strength and courage.
There were slight pacing issues towards the end. Some scenes felt longer than they needed to be.

4.25⭐️
BEST ONE OF THE SERIES OMG.
I’m absolutely obsessed with all of it- the characters, the banter, the plot. Chefs kiss.
There was only a few moments that I felt like it could’ve been executed better, but I highly recommend reading!

i was really hyped to get an arc for this one, so maybe my expectations were too high. i was eh about COLLIDE, and then loveddd SPIRAL, so i was hoping it would live up to the second book in the series.

alas, that was not meant to be. i was intrigued by the plot and felt like there was enough interesting plot happening in the first third of the book that my hopes weren't dashed yet.

it didn't hold up though. the character development seemed a bit lackluster outside of their career realizations, and i wished we had gotten more time with resolving (or at least marinating with) both of their family dynamics.

at the end of the book, i felt like these characters and this plot were forgettable in a sea of romance novels. i'll go comfort myself with a re-read of SPIRAL.

I devoured this story of Dylan and Sierra — two college skaters who find more than just ice between them. Dylan was charming as ever, and Sierra’s strength and vulnerability made her unforgettable. Their chemistry felt electric and their journey felt like a healing balm. A heartfelt, unforgettable read that felt like a warm hug.

dylan and sierra were fiery, passionate and had so much love for each other. I truly think Bal's writing gets better with each book and this one might just be my favorite. There was also a particular twist that had my heart so happy. I loved this book so so much.

Thank you NetGalley & Berkley Publishing for this arc!!

I liked the first book but was not the biggest fan of Collide, absolutely loved the arc for Spiral and was SO excited to receive the notification that I got approved for this arc! This book was so fun and enjoyable!

I loved the tension between Dylan and Sierra in the beginning and how it slowly loosened up over time as they shared their vulnerable moments. These two complimented each other so well.

I enjoyed the figure skater/hockey player aspect. I’m usually not a big fan of that storyline (usually gives off icebreaker vibes) but I actually really liked it in this story! There was a lot of good side plot that kept the story flowing and entertaining. The characters real emotions and trauma helped guide the storyline and feelings as well.

Overall a good read. Loved seeing past characters woven in and I really hope the next book is Kian’s or Sampson’s I love their characters and want to read more about them!!

- hockey/figure skater romance
- enemies to lovers
- forced proximity (skating partners)
- he falls first
- sassy fmc + “bad boy” mmc

Dylan and Sierra had a very realistic relationship. No, not a whole lot of drama really goes on in this book, but it was still so good.

These two were really good reluctant partners to lovers, nothing felt rushed or forced in the whole book. These two friend group is still precious, even though we didn’t get to see much of Elias and Sage.

I’m assuming Scarlett and Kian are the couple for book 4 and I’m excited to see what she does with Kian. I have a theory, but idk how bold we’re gonna go yknow.
