Sandy, Ivy and Ben live out in a secluded area. Sandy has just had a argument with her teenage daughter Ivy, but Ben comes home to see his wife preparing dinner and letting Ivy cool off in her room. Meanwhile outside in a wooded area, 2 escaped convicts are watching from afar and planning their next move. What happens next will change the lives of many people.
This book was so well written, I could see the characters and imagine the scenes.

Great psychological thriller with heart pounding nonstop action and an unexpected ending. I know this book was published four years ago but somehow it got lost on my reading list.

This book is very creepy and suspenseful. Not for the faint of heart! It's an excellent psychological thriller. This was my first book by this author, and I would definitely read more from her.

As Night Falls is another tension filled, edge of your seat thriller by Jenny Milchman. My heart was in my throat as events unfolded. In this one, Sandy Tremont lives with her husband and teenaged daughter in an isolated area. As the family becomes cut off by a snowstorm, two desperate escaped criminals barge in and hold the family captive.

This one has pulse pounding action, interesting characters, and a riveting storyline.

This suspenseful and thrilling read kept me engaged from the beginning. At first it seems to be just a typical home invasion story involving escaped convicts on the run, until some secrets come to light that added another element to the story. One thing about this story that I really liked, is the parallel story telling about the childhood of one of the convicts. I often find myself wondering about the backstory of murderous characters, so I appreciated having this inside look at the characters developing years.
