An Ill Wind by Pam Keevil is an engaging psychological suspense thriller that delivers a captivating narrative and a compelling detective storyline.
The story tackles some harsh topics, but the author's engaging writing style makes it an easy and quick read.
Although it wasn't my writing style, I appreciated the well crafted plot and suspenseful twists.
The eye catching cover perfectly captures the tone of the book.
Overall, it's a great thriller and recommended for fans of the genre.
Thank you to NetGalley and Cameron Publicity & Marketing Ltd for the opportunity to read and review this book.

Rachel Thomas a budding photographer by night and school teacher by day is on a photo shoot at night in the woods where she lives in the Cotswolds when a van pulls up and the driver lets out a group of men, telling them to run & go. The driver then spots her and knocks her out leaving her unconscious.
DS Mulroney is assigned her case and is soon drawn into a case of human trafficking. The driver is under orders to kill Rachel in case she can identify him. But can she???? An engrossing read with great characters, police procedurals, romance and intrigue.

Amazing plot - people smuggling comes from seemingly nowhere after an innocent photography outing. After that, it’s a full on adventure as the photographer finds herself right in the thick of it. It’s well written with the sort of dialogue you can actually imagine people using, which always helps the credibility of the plot. I really enjoyed this.

this book was smart and paced to perfection all the way through. you are drawn in too all of the characters. they are all given their eqaul staging and part to play in what makes a tense and gripping read. you soon become too involved as a reader and have to read on jsut that bit more times forever until you finish. i needed to know how this was going to play out and how the characters would turn out. everything was given to us at just the right time and you are left both guessing and figuring it out in perfect measure.

Compelling and fast paced.
Well written characters.
The storyline kept me engrossed and was difficult to put down.
My thanks to netgalley and the publisher for my copy.

I was hooked from the beginning and I had to find out what was going to happen. I didn’t even want to go to work because I’d have to stop reading. You won’t want to put this book down I finished it within a few hours!
