Rebecca Collomosse delivers an atmospheric and emotionally charged mystery in The Woman at No. 3, a gripping tale that blends domestic suspense with a creeping sense of unease. At its heart is a young family full of hope and excitement as they move into their first home—a moment filled with joy and anticipation that Collomosse captures with vivid, heartfelt detail.

But as the story unfolds, the dream quickly begins to unravel. Subtle oddities give way to unsettling events, and what begins as a fresh start soon turns into a chilling nightmare. The suspense builds gradually, drawing the reader in with a growing sense of dread that escalates with each chapter.

The twist—when it comes—is both unexpected and deliciously disturbing, turning the narrative on its head and adding a darker, more sinister layer to an already gripping story. Collomosse’s writing is sharp and immersive, perfectly balancing the emotional stakes with the tension of the mystery.

The Woman at No. 3 is a compelling and twisty read that keeps you second-guessing every character and motive. With its relatable premise and eerie execution, it’s a standout in the domestic thriller genre.

Aww this was right ul my street! It was suspenseful and realistic but also creepy enough to have me up all night reading for answers. Some parts were predictable but that made no odds really. I still loved the journey and seeing how it all played out. Its well written and the characters are brought to life well. I really enjoyed it

When Clara and Mike move into what they believe is their dream home with their young daughter, Poppy, they’re filled with hope for the future. At first, everything seems idyllic—until their reclusive and intense neighbor, begins showing an unusual interest in both Poppy and Mike. As unsettling events unfold—unexplained noises in the attic, misplaced belongings, and mysterious notes left at the door—Clara’s unease grows. But when Poppy starts speaking of “the girl with no face,” Clara is convinced something far more sinister is at play. It becomes clear that this seemingly perfect neighborhood may be hiding chilling secrets.

This novel strikes a great balance of suspense and psychological intrigue, with just enough twists to keep the reader engaged. While some plot points were somewhat predictable, the final reveal was impactful and satisfying. I found myself truly rooting for Clara—a mother who simply wanted a safe, lasting home for her family, only to discover that appearances can be deceiving. Though the pacing was a bit slow at times, the eerie atmosphere and surprises lurking in the pages made it worth reading.

A compelling read that explores the lengths a mother will go to protect her child—and the dark truths a neighborhood can conceal.

Many thanks to NetGalley and Joffe Books for the opportunity to read this ARC.

Holy chocolate covered donuts!! The Woman At No.3 by Rebecca Collomosse has left me stunned with my jaw still on the floor!! A new to me author, I wasn't sure what to expect, but this book far exceeded what I was hoping for. Literally gripped from page one, I was sucked in until the stunning conclusion. I did not put it down.

Clara and Mike find the seemingly perfect home to raise their family. Mike, at first, is hesitant, but Clara soon convinces him it is the one, and she KNOWS they're going to be so happy there. Right from the start, things run amok, like the creepy neighbors and the thumps in the night from above. Suddenly, things don't seem so great anymore.

Fast-paced and twisty, this will have readers flying quickly through the pages. I liked Clara right away because she wasn't a pushover. She was a strong main character. Mike, on the other hand, well, let's just say he needed improvement! This is the perfect beach read for domestic suspense lovers, and I can't recommend it enough.

Thanks to Netgalley and Joffe Books for the advanced copy

A family of 3 excitedly moved into a new house but very quickly Clara begins to hear and see things that make her suspect that there is either paranormal things happening or someone is targeting and messing with her family. Things become even more eerie after she discovers the sinister past of the house.

Most of the plot twist were easy to predict but still entertaining. There was one involving one of the characters that did surprise me. I really liked how the author didn’t reveal everyone’s full intentions until the end.

It frustrated me how Clara took so long to check the loft where strange noises were coming from and how easily she forgave that specific person towards the end especially with her knowing everything that person had done. The characters each had their own distinct personalities and traits but I didn’t like any of of them.

Thank you NetGalley for the ARC in exchange for an honest review.

I will say the plot of this book is totally wild! It is a fun and exhilarating ride with a epic twist that you don't see coming. It had me shaking like a scaredy cat with the creepiness. I love the roles that the characters play to perfection. The plot felt well thought out and I can safely say that it has no flaws in my opinion. I was able to absorb myself in the story and think about nothing but the words on the page and it totally freaked me out in the best possible way. I am really excited for this author who I believe has written a bestseller with The Woman at No.3.

Outstanding book. I read it in almost one day, only had 5 chapters left before I went to sleep and the book stuck with me. I triple checked that everything was locked and every sound had me tensing up. Such a great book to make you feel the emotions in the book.

I did predict the ending somewhat unfortunately, but it didn't take away from the experience of the book and there was still an unexpected twist or two.

Thanks to netgalley for this ARC.

The plot is engaging and seems creepy, but as the story develops, everything seems easy to guess, to me there's been no plot twists as my guesses were right, so the suprises were just a confirmation.

Despite that, it's a good book with characters you love and hate.

I loved how this story unfolded, it has a steady flow and the twists just kept coming.

It was almost a shock at how many twists there were and this alone, as a reader, kept me guessing.

It has a well written plot and the ending was a satisfying tying up of the plotline.

This is an amazing read and perfect for a great holiday read.

I really enjoyed this book! The Woman at No. 3 was one of those reads that hooks you early and keeps you turning pages to see what’s really going on. The characters were layered, the twists were clever, and the story kept a steady pace without feeling rushed.

It had just the right amount of suspense without going over the top, and the writing style made it super easy to get into. If you're into domestic thrillers with a little mystery and a lot of secrets, this one should definitely be on your list.

Highly recommend if you're in the mood for something twisty but totally readable.

This is my first book by this author and I can't wait for the next. I am hoping there will be another book to continue on from this. When Clara and her husband Mike move into their new house with their little girl they were excited. They had moved from their small place to this huge house.. Maybe they should have asked themselves why the price of this house was so cheap before buying it. They will soon wish they hadn't.
Fantastic book from start to end. I will be looking out for this author now.

Lots of twists and misdirection kept me reading long into the night!
I enjoyed this book for the characters, the plot, the writing and the pace. It's fairly rare to find a book where all 4 areas are at least good. I'll definitely be reading more by this author.
