Meet the Newmans written by Jennifer Niven and published by Flatiron is a delightful , refreshing read. Niven writes in such a way as the characters seem very real. I felt as if I became a part of their extended family. As all families the Newmans experience family ordeals and traumas but often played out in their weekly shows. I did enjoy getting a glimpse of the behind the scenes of a weekly sitcom, similar to the ones I grew up with in the 60s.
