Many thanks to NetGalley for this audio arc. I really love this world. It feels well built and real without any over explaining. These are cozy in the best way. There is still an engaging mystery but the found family elements are the most present and draw you in.

Just as lovely as the first book. It was great to revisit old friends but get a whole new story in a beautifully magic place. Plus you can’t go wrong with 200000% more sentient plants.

I absolutely adored The Spellshop, so I was thrilled when I found out there would be a spin-off—and it did not disappoint! What’s great is that this one stands perfectly well on its own. Even if you haven’t read the first book, you won’t feel lost, though longtime fans will catch a few fun references. One of my favorite things about this story is how a side character from The Spellshop gets her own spotlight here. Once just a cautionary tale about magic gone wrong, she really comes into her own. I loved watching her reclaim her magic—even with fear still present, she chooses to embrace it and explore what she can do. That quiet bravery and personal growth made her such a compelling character.

Her connection to the greenhouses and their residents was so heartwarming. She pours so much love and care into trying to save the space, and that devotion really shines through. The budding romance between her and the gardener brought such a sweet emotional depth to the story. Watching her gently support him as he faces his past trauma and feelings of abandonment added another meaningful layer. Their bond feels earned, soft, and full of healing. I also appreciated the subtle nods to The Spellshop scattered throughout, which made this feel like a cozy return to a familiar world. I really hope we get to revisit it again in future books—I’m definitely not ready to leave this magical setting behind.

Author Sarah Beth Durst has once again produced a charming fantasy tale. You may recall a certain librarian from The Spellshop, no not that librarian, the one who was turned into a statue. The Enchanted Greenhouse is her story. Despite being linked to The Spellshop, this story is a standalone. When you need a bit of comforting, this is the book to play. The characters have big hearts that want to do right by each other and the narration, done by Caitlin Davies, perfectly gives each character their own voice making it easy for the listener to know who is saying what.

I feel this book is accurately represented in it's marketing. I had a good time reading it, but did feel that there were too many side character for a standalone novel - it was hard to keep so many side characters straight, especially when most weren't introduced until the second half of the novel. It's a cute and cozy read with an emphasis on kindness and doing the right thing, we spend most of our time with Terlu and her gardener and get to watch their relationship blossom (no pun intended). I did also enjoy the creatures that we met throughout, including an adorable winged cat, some tiny dragons, and little plant mice. There's no spice or suggestive language, it's genuinely just a cute and wholesome read. The narrator had a nice voice for this book and I enjoyed her voicing the songs, the noises of the animals, and also the inflections that she used when addressing Terlu's monologues, internal rambles, and excited quips. This book falls a bit flat for me because of the pacing. The first part of the book is very slow moving, and then we have multiple instances of rapid character introduction to propel the story forward, but not much happening with the plot itself.

I would absolutely recommend this book to other people in search of a cozy fantasy with no spice, but I don't know that I would have a ton of interest in rereading this book. I do think this book should have been released in wintertime and maybe would have hit better for me personally as a winter read due to the evocative imagery of the snowy scenery throughout the story.

This book was spectacular! Whimsical and cozy so similar to the spellshop. It made me feel right at home. I enjoyed the characters so much I even found my self screaming at them a few times and hoping for things to come to light. This is a cozy read that has just the right amount of suspense that keeps the reader invested and rooting for the characters.

Thank you so much to MacMillan Audio and NetGalley for this audiobook ARC of the Enchanted Greenhouse by Sarah Beth Durst.

Another wonderful cozy fantasy! I definitely enjoyed this one more than The Spellshop. The atmosphere of the greenhouse was amazing and done so well. The whole story really rode on that and Sarah Beth Durst succeeded!

First, let’s talk setting. The greenhouses are all different with different plants and “themes.” I loved the idea of the bioluminescent flowers creating a starry sky! I also loved the little dragon pollinators, what could be better than that?! It also felt extra cozy to have winter outside it makes those little nuggets of warmth that much more precious.

Our main character, Terlu, was wonderfully crafted. She is so anxious about her past and how she is perceived, but is willing to put it all on the line to help others. She felt very scatterbrained and insecure and the narrator did a great job of making that a reality. As her confidence started to grow, the narration changed too which made it more impactful.

Yarrow wasn’t my favourite. He felt almost too aloof and distant. It feels like he never actually opens up even when he does. The romance felt very meh. They both say multiple times “oh, maybe they just like me because I’m the only one here” and it feels like that’s exactly what’s happening even though they deny it. It feels like awkward teenagers. So honestly, it’s marketed as “romance” but felt like more just a cozy fantasy to me.

The plants are also show stoppers! I loved the different voices that the narrator used for each of them and their different personalities. It brings a whole new magical element.

If you like cozy fantasy, pick this book up next week when it hits the shelves. There is even a flying cat, what could be better!

The Enchanted Greenhouse is a beautiful and joyous dive into loneliness, finding your place, and letting people know who you really are. This was a perfect follow up to The Spellshop. Sarah Beth Durst is a master of the cozy fantasy genre and knows just how to tug at your heartstrings.

Terlu felt so familiar in her journey to find her place and bravely be herself. I've been in a low place of isolation and fear and escaping that took so much bravery. I can really relate to Terlu feeling like she was always too much for people. Too loud, talking too much, too many feelings for people to handle. Yarrow is the swoon-worthy, great-cook, green-thumb man of my dreams (and Terlu's). Their relationship is so sweet and fulfilling.

The adventures with the greenhouse was so magical and wonderful. I truly love the "former-librarians-turned-amateur-sorcerers" of this series SBD has crafted. While I have no idea if she is continuing with stories in this world, I would love to explore this world more. I think she has something really magical with this world.

I was given an ALC of The Enchanted Greenhouse and I thoroughly enjoyed the performance of Caitlin Davies. The performance was wonderful and evoked the enchanting and cozy feeling that this story deserves.

This book is an absolute gem! Durst has crafted a story that’s gentle and immersive. I loved all the whimsical world building so much!

Terlu is a relatable plus-size heroine whose journey toward self-forgiveness and belonging is deeply moving.

Yarrow, the ever-gruff gardener, is quietly wonderful in all the ways cozy fantasy heroes should be!

There’s a sweetness to this story thats emphasized by its gentle pacing. It’s layered with emotion, laced with charm, and filled with quirky magic, sentient plants, a talking rose, and greenhouses that feel like their own characters.

The romance is a slow burn, unfolding with tenderness and respect. The pacing invites you to take your time, sip tea, and let the cozy magical world fully wrap around you.

The audiobook is fantastic! Perfectly narrated with just the right warmth and pacing to compliment the story’s tone.

Thank you NetGalley and Macmillan Audio for the ARC! While this is a follow-up to The Spellshop, it definitely works as a stand-alone.

The narrator did a wonderful job bringing this cozy fantasy and its characters come to life. I just love the world Sarah Beth Durst built. Terlu and Yarrow (and of course, the flora) are such lovable characters, even when they are grumpy (lookin' at you, Yarrow) that you are rooting for them the whole time. And it's such a sweet wholesome romance, to boot.

I thought the beginning 20% was a *bit* slow, so that's why I'm only giving 4.5 stars. But if you need a hug in book form, I recommend picking this one up.

This is a wonderful cozy read. I really liked the setting the setting. The diversity in the plants was great and even the talking plants 🤌🏻 they had their own personalities. Just the descriptions of the greenhouse created beautiful imagery.

I really loved Terlu's character. Her personality was very relatable. I can only imagine what it was like to be a statue for 6 years and then unenchanted. Her drive to do right and help even though she's scared of the consequences was admirable. Also, her relationship with the Gardner was so sweet.

The narrator did such a great job with all of the characters! I didn't have any trouble with knowing who was who. She really brought them to life.

Thank you Macmillan Audio and Bramble for the gifted advanced copies of this book.

The Enchanted Greenhouse was the cutest, cozy fantasy that my heart needed. It had similar vibes to The House in the Cerulean Sea and just felt like a hug. It’s a magical and enchanting grumpy x sunshine tale with talking plants, winged cats and dragons! What’s not to love?

It also has beautiful themes centering around family, forgiveness, and belonging.

I never read The Spellshop, but this book made me want to pick it up.

🎧: The narrator was brilliant. She did the best voices for the many plants and characters, and definitely brought this enchanting story to life in a captivating way.

🪴 Bookish Thoughts
Immediate 6-star read and hands down my favorite book of the year. And that’s saying something, because The Spellshop was already a forever fave. I didn’t think anything could top it but The Enchanted Greenhouse did. This was the coziest, most magical comfort read of all time.

Terlu absolutely has my whole heart. She just wanted a friend. Just wanted to feel a little less alone 😭.
I teared up early on reading what she went through. I’m so glad she ended up at the Island where healing was possible. Honestly, the world didn’t deserve her and her kindness!

Yarrow and Terlu’s relationship was such a soft, slow burn. He starts off a little too gruff, but he listens, grows, and learns to say sorry when he gets it wrong. And he cooks for her. I melted 🥺

The themes of redemption, forgiveness, and second chances were wrapped in beautifully whimsical prose and genuinely touching moments. The ending was so perfect I didn’t want it to end. It’s now officially in my top 5 books ever and one I’ll be rereading often. Do yourself a favor and listen to the audiobook!

Also, I would absolutely die for Lottie (the sentient rose) and every magical plant in that greenhouse 😭💐

4⭐️ I read the first book, The Spellshop, and liked it. But, I liked this second book in this series even more. It’s an interconnected stand-alone and it’s so cute. This cozy fantasy gives the warmest vibes. The author does such a great job at building this world and making you fall in love with the characters, creatures, and scenery.

I like how the narrator does different voices for all the different living things. It’s both funny and heartwarming listening to each character and learning their personalities through the way they talk and act. The narrator of this audiobook did an amazing job at bringing the authors words to life.

I did feel that, at times, the writing could be overly detailed and I do wish it was slightly shorter, but the story was so beautiful that it made up for it.

Thank you to NetGalley and Macmillan Audio for access to the audiobook in exchange for a free and honest review.

This was the cutest book I have ever read!
I am totally a cozy cute fantasy girlie!!!

I loved everything about this book! The characters, the setting, the magic system! Everything!!!
The world was so magical and all of the little magical creatures!!! Ugh I just can’t even… I’m totally obsessed!

I went into this having not read the Spellshop and I was worried I would feel like I was missing something by not reading the first book… but thankfully I didn’t feel like I was missing any parts of the story! This one is a complete standalone! Now I will be picking up The Spellshop asap but that’s just because I am already missing this world!

Our story follows Terlu who was turned into a statue as punishment for using magic to bring a plant to life… 6 years after she was turned she wakes in the middle of a jungle with a man she that she has no clue who he is!
Turns out he is the island gardener and is hoping she can fix his magic greenhouses. They are breaking down and everything is dying!
She stumbles upon a rose and accidentally brings it back to life and now the rose says she has to help her save her friends; who are also plants who were at one time alive…
We go on a journey of two people who everyone has just given up on or tossed aside as they find love and happiness within themselves and each other all while they go on the epic adventure of trying to save the plants and save the greenhouses!

This really was such a fun and cute read! I absolutely loved it!!!

4.5 stars rounded up!

This book was seriously so delightful! Honestly, other than it feeling a little long, there wasn’t anything I didn’t love about this story! I hope SBD continues writing books in this universe because I’ll truly eat up every one, and that’s coming from someone that normally doesn’t read much fantasy!

Not to mention, the audiobook was incredibly well done and Caitlin Davies absolutely killed it! 😍

3.25
I admit, I didn't finish this but feel like I gave it a good try and can give a thorough review.
Maybe I will try again, since it really isn't a bad book by any means. I think it's either just not for me or I'm not in the right mood.

First of, let me say that the writing is great! The world building is fun and beautifully done and the author really succeeds in crafting detailed and very visual images. The whole vibe is very whimsical and cozy, despite the premise, and the language and style absolutely match that.

As for the characters, I can't really grasp the MMC but have a feeling that will change later in the book. The FMC is chaotic in a very relatable way. However, I found myself a bit exhausted at times. My brain jumps around so much and is constantly loud, so reading a book with an FMC being similar, sharing every thought and detail no matter how trivial, was a bit much for me personally. And while I do love flowers, with the level of detail at which the greenhouses are described, combined with the FMCs very loud thoughts, I kept drifting off and losing focus.

Despite the rapid thoughts, the book’s pacing is slow and gooey, which, again, matches the cozy vibe but at times made me feel like nothing was happening at all. Which isn’t even the fact, though. While it’s a cutesy book, it is by no means shallow or sticky sweet. There is a lot going on emotionally, themes of abandonment/loneliness and the craving for companionship and belonging.

It also really benefits from some really cute and impactful additions in form of unusual side characters. These details are part of what elevates the entire story to a really well done book.

Between the plot, writing, world building and three-dimensional characters, The Enchanted Greenhouse has all the makings of a really good read. It’s cutesy and cozy, yet offering layers of deep emotions, fears and hopes. I really think it was just not for me/not what I needed right now. Still, I can absolutely see readers who enjoys some whimsical cozy love this one.

This was such a pleasant surprise!

Terlu, a librarian who broke the law by using magic to make a sentient plant so she could have a friend (so sad honestly) gets punished and get turned to a wooden statue. Suddenly she comes alive, and finds herself in an unfamiliar island surrounded by greenhouses, and only one person living there. Yarrow, a gardener, who needs a sorcerer to help with the failing greenhouses. Together they work to save the greenhouses and the island. But that may not be enough.

I loved this so much more than The Spellshop. The plot was fast paced and well done. I loved Terlu and Yarrow's relationship. They were well rounded characters, who had their own issues and trauma. Their relationship felt so natural.

We get to know more about the background of the world and the magic. The side characters felt more flushed out. Overall a really great cozy fantasy and the narrator added more life to it.

I recommend this if you want a cute and quick read.

🌿✨ The Enchanted Greenhouse by Sarah Beth Durst is pure magic.

Terlu knew using magic was illegal—but in a moment of loneliness, she created Caz, a sentient spider plant. Her punishment? She was turned into a wooden statue and forgotten. Until one day, she wakes up in a snowy forest on a remote island, far from the capital.

There, she meets Yarrow, a charming gardener desperate to save the enchanted greenhouses on the island, which are mysteriously failing. Torn between obeying the law and bringing life back to the island, Terlu must decide whether she can risk using magic again.

With the help of old spells, a few feisty plants, and Yarrow’s quiet strength, the two slowly breathe life back into the greenhouses—and into each other’s hearts.

Set in the same cozy, sun-drenched world as The Spellshop, this standalone novel is filled with heart, hope, and just the right touch of whimsy. I listened to the audiobook and Caitlin Davies’ narration truly brought the story to life.

Winged cats? Tiny dragons? A magical greenhouse romance? My bags are packed—I’m ready to move in.

📚 The Enchanted Greenhouse releases THIS TUESDAY! There’s still time to preorder!

I am really enjoying this series! Book one was enjoyable, but book two was great! I had wondered how the books would be tied together, since there is so much going on in the world of this series, and I really liked the direction the author went. The cast is new, but we learn new things about a member of the original cast, and are updated about the state of the wider world, without being hit over the head with anything. I cannot wait until the next book, and am really curious how the author will tie in that title with the same even hand.
