I think I may have enjoyed this one more than the first one! I was intrigued by the wooden statue that was forced to reside in the Great Library of Alyssium for creating a sentient plant and was excited when I read the description for The Enchanted Greenhouse. Terlu Perna was a lovely character to meet and her romance with gardener Yarrow was so sweet. I loved the discussion of family and forgiveness this book had. More sentient plants and new magical creatures were introduced in this one that I would love to see more of. Caitlin Davies was an amazing narrator as always and I enjoy her wide range of voices! Thank you NetGalley for an advanced audiobook for this new release!

Cozy fantasy can be such a hit or miss for me but I really enjoyed reading “The Enchanted Greenhouse”! The characters were great, I loved getting to know them and their stories.
It also had a winged cat, which is a huge win because I loove books with animal-companions.
The pacing was solid with no slow moments and the romance was a slow burn in the best way possible! The narrator was amazing, with a soft voice that perfectly matched the book’s gentle, magical atmosphere.
I definitely recommend adding this to your TBR if you’re looking for a cozy fantasy to curl up with this fall!

Thanks NetGalley for the ARC!

Wow! I loved this book so much more than I thought! Cozy fantasies have been big misses for me recently, but this one blew me out of the water. The situation was unique, the setting lots of fun, and the challenges interesting. I was really rooting (pun intended) for the characters and their success! I would recommend this to anyone that loves fantasy, romance, and a bit of mystery. The writing was well done and the audiobook well read! Pick this book up soon!

This is not typically my type of story. But I love audiobooks so I took a chance on this. This is by far one of my top reads of the year. I love the magical aspect of it and then there’s a love story entwined in the magic, though the love story is slow in the making, it’s a sweet part of the book. The characters were great learning about them and getting to know them was so much fun. I thoroughly enjoyed the talking plants and the flying cat, the dragons. This was such a good book and I will be recommending it! Thank you for writing. Such a great book. I have pre-ordered a hardcopy to add to my collection.

This is a very imaginative and cozy tale. Terlu was a librarian sentenced to being turned into a statue for attempting sorcery. Luckily for her, she is brought back to flesh and set the task of saving several enchanted greenhouses. Only problem is she doesn't know much about magic and the grumpy remaining gardener doesn't want much to do with her. Of course, a grumpy sunshine romance blossoms and we meet several fun characters, including a flying cat and a talking rose. The audio narration is whimsical although some of the voices weren't my favorite.

Honestly this book had me reflecting on just how many amazing fantasies I've missed out on because I was so close minded. Over the years I was an AVID "I can't stand fantasy except Harry Potter" .. until OF COURSE, like the basic bish I am, found ACOTAR.. Like most that's where my fantasy journey started & it's been in full throttle ever since. With that being said I'm SOOOOO happy I've advanced my palette as a reader and now get to enjoy beautiful works of art such as this one! Everything about this book helped set the PERFECTLY whimsical masterpiece. I wanted to be absorbed through the pages so I can live here! My only "issues" here we're wondering what I missed in the first book. But you can bet your bottom dollar I'll be finding out!

Okay, I was completely blind going into this read. I had no clue about The Spellshop till I was at least 75% through this audiobook. Which is probably why I felt pretty lost throughout the first 25% of this book. But I hit my stride and nestled into this cozy magical world. I really enjoyed the talking plants more than I probably should have, and I loved the dynamic between the FMC and MMC. The side relationship resolutions at the end were good because they felt full and not just thrown in to tie up a lose end. I will now be going back and reading The Spellshop once my library has an available copy to listen too!

If you liked the Spellshop then definitely pick this up. It’s a cozy fantasy book filled with love, warmth, healing, growth and purpose.

Terlu (librarian) illegally performed a spell creating a sentient spider plant. she was sentenced to be turned into a wooden statue. 6 years later she’s on a strange island and has been turned into human again by Yarrow, who tends to the enchanted greenhouses of the island.
Together they try to restore the magic in the island and save and protect the greenhouses.

The details in this book are amazing. The description of everything is just 🤩; very intriguing.

Read this with a cup of tea and cake and when it’s raining(for the vibes 😊)

I loved this book! It was just as cute and cozy as I expected after reading The Spellshop. I think I expected it to include the OG characters from The Spellshop, and while they didn't make more than cameos, grew to love the new characters pretty close to as much as l loved them. Especially Emeril (sp?) the winged-cat and the garden dragons! The enchanted greenhouse was as enchanting as l was led to believe by the title- I extra loved the ocean room! The romance part of the story was sweet, pure, and absolutely precious- I love a grumpy x sunshine story!

Overall, it was great fun reading through the imagination of Sarah Beth Durst. I hope she continues to write more lovable cozy fantasies to comfort the soul and give readers a break from the high stakes of so many fantasy books! | will continue to scoop up as many books as she writes!

As much as i liked this book it fell a little short for me, in my opinion it’s not as good as the first one & the stakes are lower which made it a little harder to get into. it also has insta love with im not a big fan of, however the prose was amazing & i absolutely loved the banter & the subtle tie into the first book!

Just pure magical. I loved every second of this book so much. I highly recommend this book to everyone that loves a good slow burn romance with a hint of magic, greenhouse and talking plants.

The Spellshop, the first book in this series, was my first adult cozy fantasy. I am pleased that the second book continues to bring me the same enjoyment as the first. Overall, I liked the story, but there were parts of the characters I felt myself get frustrated with. I wanted more wit from the sentient plants, like Kaz had in the first book. But it was still great and the narrator outdid herself the second time around.

I did enjoy The Enchanted Greenhouse more than The Spellshop simply because the fmc was a lot more lovable.

In this story, you get a bubbly and loving FMC, Terlu, and a quiet, grumpy and closed off MMC, Yarrow. This seems to be the complete opposite dynamic we saw in Spellshop and that just did it for me

One thing I struggled with for both books is the chemistry between both couples seemed to be lacking. I got more vibes of forced proximity romance versus natural chemistry. But that’s just my opinion!

It’s a cozy, easy read and perfect for when you just want to shut your brain off and enjoy a cutesy story.

I loved how much magic was in this book and how truly enchanted this story was. I also loved how the two books were connected and how it ended with an update from the characters in Spellshop. It was just sweet.

This book also made me want to grow a garden and become a really good baker just like our grumpy gardener.

The narrator for the audiobook did a fantastic job and her voice was as cozy as the story!

A big thank you to Netgalley and MacMillan Audio for the advanced audio review copy and sharing this woodsy read for my honest review!

This was so cute and soft. Terlu is the person responsible for the magically sentient spider plant Caz and got turned into a wooden statue. She gets revived by Yarrow (grump ASD-coded cinnamon roll) whose hoping to help him with the failing greenhouses. Has same vibes as The Spellshop but it's not a copy and paste of it. These characters have there own plots and emotions. Hoping there's going more books in this series. Best cottage-core fantasy out there.

Wow I loved it just as much as the first one. I love that it was its own separate story but also a prequel/sequel.

This was such a cozy little escape. Magical greenhouses, talking plants, leaf mice (yes, really), and just the right amount of quiet, emotional healing. Terlu is awkward and endearing, and her dynamic with Yarrow made me smile more than once.

It’s not a high-stakes story, it is more about second chances, softness, and finding where you belong. Perfect for a cold day, with a blanket, and a hot cup of coffee. Loved it. 🌿✨

I loved this story even more than the first book! Fully a five-star read! It had all the same elements I adored - a frazzled librarian, talking plants, gentle love interest, sweet romance, cozy setting, intriguing world-building - but everything felt more fleshed-out and endearing. We also had a looming mystery/threat, unique puzzles, magical challenges & a slow-burn connection that had me giggling and reaching for someone to gush over with!

The emotional connection & conversations between our MCs was (while set in a mystical greenhouse) realistic and genuine - watching them both overcome their fears of abandonment and coming to a mutual understanding of one another's wants/personalities/passions was so refreshing. No third-act break-up, just start-to-finish growth & yearning (AAAHHH! Honey Butter!!!). AND! I'll forever look at my garden in a new way. ✨

PS The Easter eggs from book 1 sprinkled throughout this book was such a pleasant surprise. 🥺

I hope there's an entire series' worth of stories in the future for us to read about as I've fallen in love with this world, the characters and their stories.

Thank you NetGalley and Macmillan Audio for giving me the opportunity to listen to this book early and share my honest review. All reviews will be posted to my socials (Netgalley, Goodreads, Fable, IG).

I absolutely adored The Spellshop and was so looking forward to The Enchanted Greenhouse, but unfortunately this just didn’t hit for me.

Still cute and cozy, but was missing that spark.

If there’s one thing Sarah Beth Durst can do time and time again, it’s make me fall in love with her relatable characters. Terlu, a librarian (of sentient spider plant fame) has been punished for performing said spell and turned into a wooden statue. Time existed and didn’t exist for her, you feel the fear Terlu has of losing all her sensation, her breath, her life, her world, after having been transformed. Without knowing how much time has passed, she is returned to her form again only to discover herself on a freezing island, with a grumpy gardener and an enchanted greenhouse full of sentient plants that need saving.
.
This book is achingly soft and you feel in the pages exactly how hurt Terlu is, but also how badly she wants to help others even when accepting help for herself is difficult for her.. Yarrow is a fine love interest (you know I love me some soft and grumpy men), but Terlu was a much more captivating character that she very much outshone him in the story.
.
I was missing the community aspect that I absolutely devoured in the Spellshop, but around the halfway mark the world begins to expand and we get that community warmth that I was craving. It’s still just as good, you just have to be patient to get to it.
.
This book is a great successor to the Spellshop and Caitlin Davies has without question cemented herself as the voice of this series with another stellar performance. She brings you in, holds you close, and keeps you cozy and warm throughout the whole story.
.
I’m so excited for this series to continue.

Overall, this was a nice way to have a sequel that connected us with old characters while not seeming like it was 100% necessary to read the first one or remember every aspect of it to enjoy this book. I loved the setting of the greenhouse on the island and as an avid plant lover hearing about the different plants' personalities was very charming. I thought the characters were a little two demensional and I didn't fully buy into the romance. It just seemed like they were the only two around and not necessarily soul mates. It also felt a little repetitive and could have been cut down a bit.
