After falling in love with The Spellshop, I was too excited to be given the opportunity to read/listen to the Enchanted Greenhouse and it did not dissappoint!

This cozy little magical place and it's inhabitants just make you fall in love. I adored the plants and Yarrow, and well as the enchanting little creatures that fill the greenhouses.

Within the first chapters you can't help but to have feelings for the events that take place.

Who doesn't love a snuggly cat? Emeril the flying cat.

Again the gorgeous imagery evoked from this book!

The little mysteries, and how the overall story unfolds is perfectly paced. The full personalities of the various characters and flow of how everything comes together makes for a easy delightful read back in the cutest magical world.

Terlu is adorably awkward and endearingly kind-hearted and Yarrow is so soothingly wonderful and their blossoming little love is a joyful experience.

Again the family is what you make it. I can't ever get enough of it! Maybe it's because of life and the experiences I've had and the family we have but it's just one of my favorite things in books.

I love how Terlu and Yarrows love is more about just living life together beautifully in each others company. I feel like that's not a common aspect of romance novels in general but especially not fantasy and I just love, love and this book brings common love into it and it's just so nice.

The unquiet librarian and connecting the knowledge with people was a wonderful insight that i dont think people make connections about and at least in my more recent experiences even the libraries have seemed to have forgotten. I miss the community of the library and how it felt like a home away from home in the summers growing up.

Another delightful cozy fantasy! You don't have to have read the first book, but it would help with context. I wish I'd reread it before this, because it's been some time since I read book 1 and I kept thinking the MC here had been the MC there, too, but no, it's not that kind of series. The MC here is tangential only.

I love that the tone is light but not so light that nothing is taken seriously, because the story's also very emotional. Both heroine and hero had complete and satisfying arcs. Their romance was a bit unrealistically PG, but that suited the tone, so it worked. The plant characters were endearing--I loved wise old Dendy--and made the failure of the greenhouses devastating.

Caitlin Davies is the perfect narrator for this series--each character, even the plants, has a distinct voice. She's very talented and absolutely elevates the material.

Sarah Beth Durst brings to us again another amazing cozy fantasy!!
I understand that now the market is full of "cozy fantasies," but I think that Durst is one of the few that got just right the measurement of comfort, silliness, and self-reflectiveness.

In the Enchanted Greenhouse, we have a librarian who resorted to magic to create a sentient spider plant to help her with her loneliness. However, as it is forbidden for non-sorcerers to use magic, she was condemned to be a statue. After 6 years, she is brought back to life to help a recluse gardener save several enchanted greenhouses.

Here we see the power of community and how we thrive when everyone is united for the same purposes. This message comes in a very delicate way, respecting people's time (and I loved this detail) among cute sentient plants full of personality, baked goods and a delicate romance.

Overall this will be a great read for fall/winter and I can't wait to get my hands on the physical copy when it's out!

This was a fun one!! I always will enjoy this series. It’s light and fluffy which is perfect. This series is becoming a comfort read for me with the limited violence and feeling like a Disney movie. It’s whimsical and sweet! The writing isn’t perfect but it works with the story and accomplishes the purpose overall. I enjoyed the characters in this one and definitely loved the concept of the FMC not having a place in the world or really feeling comfortable anywhere, and overcoming that with some found family and magic! Overall worth checking out!

I was not sure if I could possibly love this author or narrator more than I did after The Spellshop, but I was absolutely incorrect. I am just obsessed with this cast and the magic of the greenhouses! The romance is swoon worthy and I am convinced that this author can do no wrong. The world building is immaculate and I am obsessed with the way that not just the kind of flower but the specific variant of each flower that impacts the magic. The attention to detail! The adorable descriptions! The sailor plant! Highly recommend.

After reading ‘The Spellshop’ I knew I needed to get my hands on this book! I love how this author does cozy fantasy ❤️ I listened to this as an audiobook and the narration was amazing. I want to live in this world Sarah has created, amongst the characters and fantastical creatures. The way this story made me sob at the end with prefect closure to Terlu’s story. I would read or listen to any book written in this fantasy world.

This book was delightful - the equivalent to a warm cozy hug in a book form. It was fun, exciting, whimsical and everything that you might look for in a cozy fantasy book. The plant girl in me loved the variety of plants and their personalities - I would love to visit all the greenhouses! I found Terlu's anxiety and inner turmoil to be so relatable & thought the romance to be super charming.

Caitlin Davies did a beautiful job with the narration which made this SO fun & engaging to listening to. Caitlin's different expression of all the cast of characters was executed so well. I think I've found another new auto-listen narrator.

If you loved the Spellshop you will 100% absolutely love The Enchanted Greenhouse. Even if you haven't read The Spellshop - if you like cozy, low stakes fantasy this book is for you.

I adored the narration by Caitlin Davies. I loved her bright voice for Terlu Perna and especially loved how she captures the various and varied personalities of the sentient plants. If you want to read this one, I highly recommend listening to it on audio.

This book is best described as delightfully cutesy—a heartwarming, cozy read that’s easy to sink into. The setting is absolutely charming, and I loved the whimsical world the author has created. It’s vivid, well-crafted, and easy to picture, thanks to the author’s wonderful descriptions.

I ended up giving it 3 stars because I struggled with the FMC, Terlu. Her constant self-doubt and overthinking were tough to listen to, and I found her lack of confidence throughout the story a bit frustrating. I wanted to root for her more, but her inner turmoil made it hard to connect.

That said, the narrator Caitlin Davies was fabulous! She nailed the different voices, especially for all the talking plants. I can imagine how tricky it must have been to give each one a distinct personality, but she pulled it off beautifully. I’d give her a solid 5 stars for her performance!

This was a very cozy book. And I’m so so so glad this focused on the librarian that created Caz. Caz was one of my favorite parts of The Spellshop so I loved getting to meet the person that brought him to life. I will say, the main character was a bit annoying out the gate but I mean, I guess I’d be annoying too if I’d been a statue for years. lol and she grew on me over time.

Also, I loved how creative the greenhouse was. Like I wish I could visit that greenhouse, it sounded like a dream. A very sweet and cozy story.

(I listened to the audio book and the narrator was very engaging. I do think that was probably why I found the main character annoying at first because she was a lot and very high pitched at first. But as I said, the character grew on me.)

Overall I enjoyed this moderately paced, super cozy magical comfort read. As a self proclaimed plant baddie, the talking plants really made the book.....I just loved them.

Where I loved The Spellshop and was captivated by the layers brought to that cozy novel, The Enchanted Greenhouse felt just “fine.”

My biggest takeaway was that the formula of characters felt repetitive and like a mirror of the last book instead of having something unique within the same world.

I was excited when I realized who the central FMC was, and then ultimately struggled in differentiating this book from its predecessor.

This is a cozy and comfortable read with anxious and quick witted plants, a self conscious FMC, and a rugged MMC who welcomes the strange girl into his home and community as she acclimates to her new life. Sound familiar?

I wanted more from a novel set within this world, especially for how dynamic I found the first.

All said, it was charming and well written and think readers will enjoy it if they are seeking something familiar with flying cats.

Terlu and the grumpy gardener, Yarrow, work together to figure out the magic needed to save the greenhouses and their occupants.

There are many similarities to The Spellshop with the settings and characters - especially at the beginning. I loved The Spellshop and maybe this book was too much of the same thing, and it wasn’t as strong as the first. Story wise - not much happens. If you like cozy, low stakes, no plot books - this will be just fine.

The strengths here are the talking plants, a fun addition and make the first half of this book very enjoyable. I adored Lottie. There isn’t much tension or conflict overall to create more interest, it was a little repetitive, drawn out, and slow, but I still liked it.

Audiobook narration by Caitlin Davies is very good, she has a fairytale quality to her voice that brings the story to life. The voices for various plant characters were very fun and whimsical.

I’ve been waiting for what feels like forever for the follow up to The Spellshop which was such a cozy and lovely book. The Enchanted Greenhouse didn’t disappoint!

In this book, we meet Terlu, the former librarian who had turned Caz, the spider plant, sentient and was consequently turned into a wooden statue for breaking the law. Her story picks up when she is suddenly back in human form on an island in winter. The first thing she comes across after waking is a greenhouse. Not just any normal greenhouse, this is one of many that have been enchanted to thrive all year long, no matter the climate, time of day, or location. While exploring, she meets the island’s only other inhabitant—Yarrow. Their brief first meeting isn’t exactly pleasant, but with time, trust and friendship along with more sentient plants bring the two together. That, along with a mission to save the greenhouses.

This book is another cozy read. It would be perfect for a cold winter day curled up by a fire. It isn’t some epic fantasy with a complicated web that must be untangled to solve the mystery that is the greenhouses. It’s perfect for those who just want to dip their toes into a fantasy world.

I do wish there had been a bit more about Terlu and Yarrow’s relationship build up. They fell in love rather quickly and while there were small things here and there that showed the progression, it felt a bit rushed.

Since Terlu was first mentioned in The Spellshop, as creator of Caz and then punished by being turned into a statue, I had hoped she would get a story and happy ending and this is it! It has all the coziness and magic that one needs to feel warm and happy, exploring the enchanted greenhouses (and saving them!) with Lottie the sentient rose (and then all the other plants), and Yarrow, an introverted gardener with a penchant for cooking the most wonderful dishes (the sounded so yummy that it made me want to eat them too!) and as a balance for the very extroverted Terlu (though I mean, who could blame her after being a statue for so long?). And of course you get winged cats, tiny dragons, a moving maze, and singing flowers amid the search to bring the dead parts of the greenhouses back to life after the old crotchety wizard who used to take care of it all died (and he definitely was batty by the end with all his mistrustfulness!) Terlu has low self esteem and anxiety and it is mentioned a lot in this book as she worries about being punished again for using magic (her punishment was awful and definitely much worse than the crime! The empire has a lot to answer for in this!) but don't worry, it all turns out alright and there are good messages about doing what is right rather than always following the law and how important family is.

This story would be fun to read and also is incredibly well done in the audiobook version too! I enjoy the narrator, Caitlin Davies and have listened to other books read by her. She brings all the characters to life and the island where they are all living and I loved every minute I listened to this book. I definitely will be listening to it again! Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for the chance to listen to this great audiobook!

This was so good! I loved the narrator. Caitlin Davies was perfect for this.

I love the world she’s created. This is another cozy, low stakes fantasy with more talking plants! I mean, what more could I ask for?

I will admit I didn’t like this as much as I loved The Spellshop, however the reasons are petty. I liked the romance between Terlu and Yarrow but it felt really instalovey and it felt really unnatural in the beginning. By the end I was happy for them, it just took me a while to get there. Also, there was absolutely no reason for the word “honey cakes” to be used as many times as it was. It probably wasn’t even a large amount it just really felt that way.
