I adore this series and knew I would love this, the blending of historical, gothic and mystery is just sublime, another captivating read I'm always sad when they end!

If you are looking for an exciting mystery novel then The Devil in Oxford is indeed the book for you. Not only is it mystery novel but it is historical fiction that takes place in the 1920's. It is apart of the Ruby Vaughn series now I haven't read the othdr books in this series but after reading this one I will be sure to check out the others. This was a very exciting book to read.
This book follows the story of the lovely heiress Ruby Vaughn who is involved in the selling of illegal books. With the holiday coming up she will finally get some peace and quiet. However those plans are soon thwarted when a murder takes place.
I received an arc copy from Netgalley and all opinions are of my own.

I devoured the first two books in Jess Armstrong’s Ruby Vaughn series in a single weekend, and The Devil in Oxford absolutely delivers on everything I loved about the first two. Armstrong blends historical mystery, gothic atmosphere, and just the right touch of the occult into another captivating adventure. Ruby is as clever and compelling as ever, and the return of Ruan Kivell adds emotional depth and tension. The Oxford setting is richly drawn, and the plot is full of twists that kept me guessing. Highly recommended for fans of period mysteries with a dark, supernatural edge.
