I started out really, really liking it. But the longer it went on, the more indifferent I became. It was the royal part of the storyline, honestly. It made it too much.

Still, a decent read for a novella.

I received a copy in exchange for an honest review.

Finding love when young, losing love suddenly, waiting years for word of what happened, giving up on that notion, and then having that love return, and to not have a clue what he wants or feels. Ah, the trials and tribulations of romance!

Second chance romances are one of favorite tropes and this quick story about Dee and Jed was very cute. . Thank you for the opportunity to read your book.

I really enjoyed reading about Jed and Dee's journey! I feel like this author did a fantastic job and I am excited to read more from them. My only wish is that the story was longer than a novella, and I wished it was a full length book!

This was quite a quicky! I feel I've read novellas that were longer than this book. Parts of me liked that, but parts of me wanted more.

Jed and Dee were best friends in high school, and right when it seems the friendship might blossom into something more, Jed disappears without a trace. Poor sweet Dee is left to wonder why everyone seems to leave her, even when it is under justifiable circumstances. She is also worried whether or not he is ok.

Fast forward about ten years, and Dee gets a visit out of the blue from Jed. He began looking for her because he thinks she might have some insight as to the identity of his biological father. The questions lead the two to Europe for answers, where a possibility comes up of Jed being royalty.

The romance was way too quick to be believable. I felt like the obstacles between the couple were overcome with too much ease. The emotions I felt for poor Dee weren't given enough credit. However, I was drawn to the story and needed to know what happened asap. I loved that it was written in the third person (my preferred style). It is great for a quick pick me up.

This review appears on Amazon US -
Madeline Ash writes sweet, human, likable characters. I've enjoyed everything I've read by her.

This book is a quick read with a likable female lead. I enjoyed the touch of mystery and deep emotion written by Ash.

If you haven't done so already, but " Uncovered by Live" - I REALLY, REALLY liked that one.

**My thanks to NetGalley and Tule Publishing, for providing me with a free copy for an honest review**

This is a quick short read, especially if you read fast like me.

You are provided with a prologue from when the characters are teenagers and best friends fighting sexual desire, then you are transported to modern day followed by an epilogue to tie up the ending.

Dee is a character that lets you know exactly how she is feeling and only as an adult has been able to exert caution over her words. She also trusts Jed enough that she instantly travels half way across the world just to support him in meeting the man that says that he is Jed's dad.

Jed has travelled all over the place, but finally managed to settle down eight years ago, much to the annoyance of his mother. But unbeknownst to him, his mother has been keeping a very big secret from him.

I really enjoyed this book, but wish it had been a little longer.
