I've read quite a few Sherlock Holmes retellings and spin-offs over the years and they've worked or not on different levels. I don't think this worked as well as it could have done. Outside of the Americanism that aren't said over here and definitely wouldn't be said in Victorian England. Sherlock Holmes was not like he is in the novel and i don't think the other characters created by Arthur Conan Doyle felt like themselves. It was action packed and exciting which i liked but the plot felt a little repetitive and simple at points and i don't think the new characters fit in the world. This is not a series i would continue with as it wasn't for me and i rounded up to a 3 out of 5 when it's a 2.5 in terms of numerical rating.
