I loved this enemies to lovers story. I really enjoy this author and her nods to body positivity. I will continue to read more from this author.

I had so much fun with this witty rom com. unhinged, unpredictable and completely entertaining! it's lighthearted and adventurous and honestly just so dang good

Definitely a let down after the first book 😣
Calder was just not it, he was too cocky and I did NOT appreciate him calling Dakota a bitch (more than once). I didn’t really like the premise of the book either.
I did like getting to see the rest of the family again and I liked Dakota.
Hoping book 3 redeems itself 😅

I had so much fun listening to the audio of Seven Year Itch by Amy Daws. This is a part of the Mountain Men Matchmaker series, book 2, but can be read as a standalone, however, I loved book 1 as well and highly recommend it. I just loved Calder and Dakota so much. Calder is the middle brother of the mountain brothers and is has been feeling a bit lost lately. He is determined and confident and set on never getting married or having a family. I have loved Dakota since we met her in Last on the List, as Cozy’s best friend. She has always been confident and full of sass, but since her divorced, she has been vulnerable and a bit adrift.
Seven years ago, Calder and Dakota had a big blow up and have been enemies since then. They go at each other anytime they are around each other. But when they have to share a room at a destination wedding, moments of honesty are shared between them. One thing leads to others and now they are testing friends to benefits, but all good things come to an end, right? I just loved how open and honest Calder and Dakota were with each other. Their banter was captivating and fun. Another great read from this author!

I enjoyed The Seven Year Itch by Amy Daws on Audible. The narrators were lively and really brought the characters to life. The story was fun and steamy, with good chemistry and humor. While a bit predictable at times, it’s a solid, entertaining romance. Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for the ARC in exchange for my honest review.

I was unable to listen to this title. I got the approval email and before I could get to it the same day the title was archived. I wish I had had the chance to listen.

Loved it! If you like small town romances but with some spice, then this book is for you. It is also hilarious! I cant wait to read more from this author and from this series!

Narrated by Teddy Hamilton and Erin Mallon.
These are two of my absolute favorite narrators so when I saw they were doing this book I immediately signed up.
Amy Daws is a fun author. She always makes me laugh out loud and this story was no exception. If anything, I laughed even harder listening to it than I would have reading it.
From the VERY beginning I was cracking up.
Calder’s Tinder profile was so funny I had tears running down my face. Here are some highlights:
- Height: 6'3" at the doctor, 6'5" at the bar
- Size: Not as big as my brother Luke’s but honorable mention
- What I do on a typical day: Mountainside strolls with my cat strapped to my chest.
- I once had a girl hold the door open for me, and afterward I asked her, “What are we?”
- If you like the taste of my potent onion, swipe right and let’s giggle and make some soup together.
I mean COME ON. THATS JUST THE PROLOGUE.
For the most part the book was a fun, chaotic mess but sometimes it leaned way too far into the chaos.
Dakota truly just comes off as unhinged and unlikable most of the time. You would think she’s like 15 with the way she behaves. Calder isn’t off the hook there either. The enemies part of their enemies to lovers was honestly too much a lot of the time. I had to remind myself how old they were supposed to be.
Thank you to Harlequin Audio for the ALC.

This is my first Amy Daws book and I loved it! Her writing reminds me of Meghan Quinn- books that make me laugh out loud with a great plot and plenty of spice! Definitely recommend!

I really like romcoms. I like enemies to lovers, and ouch her and die, big tattooed dudes becoming mushy over kittens, and steamy scenes. This should have been a done deal for me. Buuuut it wasn’t. I got the ick and I by or it early and try as I might, I couldn’t come back from it. For me it was over the second Calder tried to forcibly remove Dakota from a place she said she wanted to be because he didn’t like her being there. I don’t find that sexy and just had trouble getting on board. I did really like the family dynamic and enjoyed every female characters. I just really didn’t like the Fletcher brothers which makes it had to enjoy this series as a whole. I haven’t read the first book and probably won’t, but my yuck might totally be your yum, so I still recommend giving this one a go. I will admit the narrators are fantastic!

I have loved Amy Daws since I read her Harris Brothers series.
She did not disappoint this time! I listened to the audiobook, due to the fact of who the narrators where. Teddy and Erin did an amazing job of capturing Dakota and Calder.
Tropes:
Enemies to Lovers
Forced Proximity
Small Town
Second Chance
Banter
Amy does a great job of creating an story where the side characters shine in their own way and bring even more life to the story. Overall the audiobook and story were fun, funny, and easy to listen to while at my desk!

From page one, this small-town romance had me laughing. Seven Year Itch gives us an unhinged male lead, a fiercely grudge-holding heroine, and a second-chance, enemies-to-lovers story packed with witty banter, emotional beats, and a dash of spice. Dakota and Calder’s reunion after seven years—thanks to a wedding neither can avoid—is awkward, hilarious, and unexpectedly sweet as their hatred starts to blur into attraction.
It’s a fun mix of forced proximity, family drama, self-worth, and finding love in unexpected places. Some spicy moments made me laugh more than swoon, but the chemistry and clever plot made up for it. Diverse, lovable side characters keep things lively, and the pacing is just right. Fans of spicy romcoms with heart and humor will eat this up. I missed my ALC but since I read the book, I wanted to come back for a review.

Such a good enemies to lovers Rom Com
The laughter was infectious. The family is so lovable. The small details from the back stories to the emotional growth between the couple and individually is what really made this such a good one! It’s book two but could be read as a standalone because if gives enough details to make everything made sense. The story is easy to follow and just a really good comfort read for anyone who likes a little spicy rom com with lovable characters.

tropes: hate to love, only one bed, sex lessons, enemies with benefits
Teddy Hamilton always brings his A-game as a narrator, let me start off by saying!!!! The performance was amazing- I was laughing through this whole book & also blushing like a madwoman because it was hot hot hot!
Their story was so fun & had so many of my favorite tropes... frankly, it was impossible not to enjoy myself. The chemistry between Calder & Dakota is CRAZY!!! The enemies/hate-to-love in a small town hits every time. It was a pretty easy listen, and was really jam-packed, I felt! The journey of self-discovery for Dakota (especially sexually), and both of their evolutions as individual characters were really well done!! The pacing was great, however, I did feel like it got a bit clunky towards the end (I remember feeling the same while I read the first book), but it honestly doesn’t take anything away from how much I enjoyed my time.
Overall, definitely recommend!!

I started this book a few weeks ago. After the first 2 hours of listening to the audio book, I decided to stop listening and didn't think I'd even go back to finish the book. I rarely DNF a book, but this one almost made me. I decided to go back to nearly 2 weeks later and see if it improved (and was sure to speed up the playback to get through it faster). It was still a struggle.
Dakota was a total B*tch. I rarely say that about anyone, much less a fictional character, but it's the only adjective that I think describes her perfectly (and based on the reviews, a lot of people agree). Just when I think she's turned a corner and redeemed herself, she goes back to that same attitude again at the end and it just infuriates me.
Then there's Calder. At least he wasn't a total douche, although he definitely had his moments too (especially in the 3rd Act breakup scene). He was hurt in the past by a woman he loved, so I get why he didn't want to express his feelings for Dakota verbally. He did have a good heart though underneath that tough exterior, he just had self-esteem and confidence issues and that made him appear closed-off.
I enjoyed Book 1, so I'll still read the next book in the series. I'm usually a fan of the enemies-to-lovers trope, but this one had too much of a mean girl vibe for me to enjoy it.

This book was a huge disappointment. The MMC (Calder) honestly disgusted me at times and was a walking red flag. He supposedly wants a simple, traditional life but absolutely does not have traditional values.
He doesn’t seem to respect or even like women at all. He refers to his brother’s fiancé/baby mama as an “incubator”. He is constantly dismissive of the women around him. There is a scene at the destination wedding where he exposes himself to the FMC (Dakota) for funsies before they have any kind of intimate relationship and it gave me the ick so bad. Yeah, in real life that is in fact a form of assault and a misdemeanor, not romcom material. Are you okay Amy????
This book had so many tropes I usually love (enemies to lovers, forced proximity) but it seriously missed the mark.

Enemies to lovers isn't really my thing and this was just too much for me to really get past. I enjoyed it once they started to get along and the third act conflict was just ridiculous. While Calder and Dakota were both just too stubborn for their own good, Dakota really just rubbed me the wrong way most of the book.
Overall, this leant too far into the enemies to lovers side of things and I liked book 1 more. I'll still pick up book 3 when it comes out.
Thank you, NetGalley and Harlequin Audio for the audio ARC!

Amy Daws knows how to write rom-coms. Hands down. I was LAUGHING while listening to/reading this book.
I love a good enemies-to-lovers, and this one was something else. Was it ever really hate? More like deep-seated lust and want. Calder is perfect - a reformed playboy who works with his hands and is willing to create a PowerPoint to explain all the learning objectives. Dakota is magical, and I want all the best things after all the crappy cards her life dealt her. Give me friends like her who will battle it out with a grumpy mountain man!
Teddy Hamilton and Erin Mallon are a dream team in duet. I was so engrossed in their storytelling that I forgot almost everything else. If anything, you NEED to listen to the volleyball scene (iykyk). People were concerned because I was crying laughing.

I received this ARC &ALC in exchange for my honest review. Thank you!

Ooof. Another Mountain brother's story being told. Anyone else want to get the origin story of their parent's relationship to see what kind of stock these boys come from to be so wonderful? Lol. I mean, they are by no means perfect, but they know that and that in itself is a huge redeeming quality.
I really enjoyed Dakota's journey of learning her self-worth and who she is after divorce and Calder's journey of who he is apart from his family.
And as always, Everly's meddling with that wisdom beyond her years to help her uncles is so sweet.
All in all, this story was funny, full of chemistry, and had a great story that I have enjoyed and look forward to continuing to follow.
Thank you Net Galley, Harlequin Audio, and Amy Daws for an ALC of this story.

the seven year itch had me literally laughing out loud. starting with the prologue, that was hilarious.

i really enjoyed this book. it was so fun to get back with these mountain men + their niece. the meddling family moments are entertaining. the banter and chemistry is so good!!!! i loved watching calder and dakota fall in love. it was sweet, spicy + funny.
I have a hard time with 3rd act breakups and this one was no different... i feel like it was pointless but they did make-up quickly.
i highly recommend listening to the audiobook. it is duet narration with teddy hamilton and erin mallon. omgggggg. the smut was so hot. they both did a great job with the funny scenes as well.
thank you so much netgalley and Harlequin Audio
