Teddy Hamilton and Erin Mallon knocked this narration out of the park. The passion and emotion they brought to these characters was impeccable and really brought the book to life for me. This is a great spicy romantic comedy and has a ton of Whitty banter and swoon worthy dialogue. Do check the content warnings though.
As for the Story. I knew I was going to enjoy it from the very first page. That dating site makeover was perfect. The small town charm mixed with just the right amount of crazy. I LOVE the enemy’s to lovers trope and Dakota is definitely not happy with Calder at the start. The “Seven year Itch” follows FMC Dakota, a divorcee and MMC Caldear who are pushed together at a destination wedding. What starts as an opportunistic friends with benefits situation quickly intensifies and causes *tension*.

I loved listening to this book! Narrators Teddy Hamilton and Erin Mallon were the perfect Calder and Dakota.
If you love enemies to lovers, this book is for you. It is spicy and funny with excellent banter. Calder and Dakota have a long history of being snarky with one another and it is just so good.
Early in the book, Calder goes to visit his favorite "club" and a beautiful woman that is paired with another man catches his eye. When things go haywire with the woman and her partner, Calder realizes that beautiful woman is his nemesis Dakota. This scene is so, so funny.
In addition to the witty banter between these two, Calder's relationship with his cat totally make the book for me. He is so ridiculous and charming as a Cat Daddy.

This book blew me away and I wasn't sure if I wanted to come back. I was drawn in from the very beginning. The banter between these two is amazing, and the spice in this book was great. The actual representation of the safety in BDSM is always a bonus for me and I love how it was brought up in this book.

I absolutely loved this book! ❤️
It’s been forever since an enemies‑to‑lovers trope that I read was actually good—Dakota and Calder were vicious (for a small-town romance), and I was HERE for it.
Dakota—our very own “Miss Karen”—is a total sassy firecracker with zero filter and a razor-sharp tongue, but she was hurt. Her piece of shit ex-husband destroyed her confidence. But to her credit, she goes to a sex club to “find herself,” only to collide (literally) with her BFF’s brother-in-law, Calder, the contractor from her so‑called dream home that she hired 7 years ago, who's also her nemesis. Talk about perfect chaos!
And Calder… swoon.
“Him asking for something you weren’t comfortable enough to give means he wasn’t giving you what you needed to feel safe. That’s not boring, that’s just expected.”
Plus, extra epilogue chapters? Yes, please! 🥹 Those bonus scenes are what I always crave from authors, thank you!!!
I can’t recommend this one enough. Check out the audiobook duet, it's a chef’s kiss! 🎧✨

I’ve been deep in fantasy and romantasy lately, so Seven Year Itch was such a breath of fresh (and hilarious) air. Calder completely stole my heart—tattooed, broody, cat dad? Say less. He and Dakota had me cackling more than once, and their banter was top-tier.
What I really appreciated was that the story didn’t just end with the tropical vacation, it got even better once they returned home. This wasn’t just about a fling; it was about two people growing, healing, and learning to love themselves and each other. Though—I did like the PowerPoint presentation 🔥
I especially loved how this book addressed body image and post-divorce confidence in such a relatable way. There’s something empowering about seeing a heroine loved as she is, and a hero who’s not just hot, but emotionally evolved. I adored how Calder found purpose in woodworking—for me it added real depth to his character.
No surprise pregnancies, no unnecessary drama, just a heartwarming, funny, and feel-good romance. A perfect summer read. 🌞💖
The narrators absolutely nailed it! They brought Calder and Dakota to life with so much personality, humor, and emotional depth. I felt every bit of tension, banter, and heart. Their chemistry and delivery made the story even more immersive, and honestly, I could’ve listened to them for hours (and did!). They added so much charm and heart to an already amazing book.
Huge thanks to NetGalley for the advanced listening copy (ALC)! I’m so grateful for the chance to experience this laugh-out-loud, swoony gem early. 💕🎧

Seven Year Itch is a hilarious, spicy, and surprisingly heartfelt enemies to lovers romance that delivers on both laughs and heat. With a grumpy mountain man, a fiery divorcee, and a tropical vacation gone sideways, this story hits every rom com sweet spot especially when meddling family and second chances are involved. The chemistry between the leads is electric, the banter is sharp, and the emotional payoff is deeply satisfying. Add in a cat, a cabin, and some serious steam, and this audiobook is a must listen for fans of steamy, swoony, and laugh out loud love stories.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Seven Year Itch by Amy Daws is exactly what I hoped it would be—fun, spicy, chaotic, and absolutely hilarious in the best, most unserious way. And narrated by the dynamic duo of Teddy Hamilton and Erin Mallon? A total audio win.
This whole series is like a rom-com fever dream, and I mean that with full affection. It leans into the ridiculous in all the right ways—absurd dating apps, destination wedding shenanigans, forced proximity in a tropical paradise, and a mountain man who’s equal parts gruff and gooey. The banter? Impeccable. The spice? Sneaky hot. The emotional payoff? Surprisingly satisfying.
I don’t know why this book has been catching strays online lately, because I’ve genuinely lost count of how many times I’ve laughed out loud, snorted unattractively, or grinned like a loon while listening. It’s not pretending to be literary fiction. It knows exactly what it is and delivers it unapologetically: a lighthearted enemies-to-lovers romp with just the right amount of heart and heat.
Dakota and Denver’s chemistry is electric, their insults are foreplay, and the emotional growth sneaks up on you between jokes about cat daddies and wedding disasters. Teddy and Erin bring every second of it to life with such charisma that I could listen to them argue and flirt for hours—and I did.
If you’re looking for a good time with a touch of spice and a whole lot of ridiculous charm, Seven Year Itch absolutely scratches that itch. Don’t let the haters fool you—this series is pure serotonin.

Amy Daws does it again with an amazing book! I always look forward to her stories, knowing I will have a plot with some meat as well as humor and romance. Enemies to lovers, I was taken immediately with this small town romance. Dakota and Calder see each other for the first time in seven years at a wedding. This does not limit the feelings they had back then, and the anger is still seething out. But close proximity and familiarity leads to friends with benefits during the festivities. But is that enough to push them over the edge? Spicy times, laugh out loud scenes and beautiful scenery all lead to a happily ever after I took in and loved. This is an amazing book, and made me realize just how much I missed Daws's writing. So glad she is back and can't wait for more!
Erin Mallon and Teddy Hamilton are the best team! I love the way they meld together, creating amazing comedy and romance. Mallon always gets into the quirky rolls, giving her character a way to make her easily relatable. Hamilton uses that conversational feel to make Calder frustrating but easy to love. This performance is amazing!

Everly is back at it in book two. I loved the first book so this one was equally as funny.
Calder’s Tinder bio, he's tattooed and a cat dad ...... yes 10/10.
Dakota finding love with her body again, I loved.
Their adventures together for her to get that love for herself back after a divorce, I loved.
Banter on point. Classic enemies to lovers.
Spice was spicing.
I can't wait for Luke in the 3rd book.
Audio Review: The audiobook was a funny experience. Erin Mallon and Teddy Hamilton did an amazing job. I am always a fan of their work.
Thank you Amy Daws, Harlequin and NetGalley for giving me the opportunity to listen to this ALC. As always this is my own personal opinion.

Im excited to be approved for this arc but I actually was able to purchase this book on release day and read it in one day. I love Amy Daws she will always be an auto buy author for me! I loved book 1 so I knew book 2 was going to be awesome. Enemies to lovers is my favorite trope and it’s written so well with this one. The banter between the two, the chemistry, and the spice!!! I ate this book up.

This book technically can be read as a standalone, but for full character experience, u might wanna read in order
This is a very cute book bout Dakota and the man she has disliked for seven years Mr. cat daddy himself Calder, her best friend Cozy's brother in law. When they had one night 2gether on an island at his brother's wedding. They both couldn't get each other out their minds, so they came up with an agreement to be frenemies with benefits. Their banter was so funny and I was here for it. i absolutely loved this series and can't wait for the next book in this series.

My Quick Take Review
An entertaining and flirty forced proximity romcom with lovable characters and top notch narration. While the miscommunication trope being snuck in towards the end and some over-the-top spicy scenes held it back, Seven Year Itch still delivers plenty of laughs and heart.

My Full Review
Seven Year Itch was a fun romcom that had me laughing out loud several times. It's a classic forced proximity enemies-to-situationship romance with a good splash of comedy and heart, and while it wasn't perfect, I definitely enjoyed it.
The banter between Calder and Dakota was a major highlight. Calder, the bearded, grumpy, tattooed small-town guy with a soft side—evident from the very first time we meet his rescue cat, Milkshake—was a genuinely likable lead. And Dakota? I loved her fiery spirit. Even though she's relatively newly divorced and working on regaining her body confidence, she never lacks spark. Her personality lit up all the scenes she was in.
That said, the audiobook narration added just the right touch of charm, too. I've always enjoyed Teddy Hamilton's narration, and boy, he didn't disappoint! He brought Calder Fletcher's character to life effortlessly. Erin Mallon did a fantastic job voicing Dakota, and the chemistry between the two narrators was spot on, which made the listening experience more immersive.
That said, I had a few gripes. The sex scenes, to be honest, sometimes felt a little cringe and over the top, which didn't quite match the light, breezy tone of the rest of the narrative.
And then there's the dreaded miscommunication trope. That part really bugged me here because, up until approximately 85% through, Calder and Dakota were doing such a good job of airing their feelings, whether they were arguing, bantering, joking, or just opening up to one another. The sudden communication breakdown felt forced and didn't align with how their relationship had been developing in my opinion.
Even so, this was a fun listen with memorable characters, cute animal moments, and great duet narration. It's the kind of romcom you grab when you want something light, funny, and feel good with a side of spice and chaos.

Dakota And Calder. Enemies to frenemies with benefits. It all started 7 years before they even realized. They are none stop bickering and bantering. 7 years later, she is divorced and Calder is a player mountain boy who only does 1 night stands. They run into each other in a sex club and their old bickering ways start again. A nosey niece gets involved and it all starts in Mexico
This story is funny, spicy, and heartwarming! The banter is funny. The book grabs you from the very beginning with an amazing description of Calder the cat daddy!
I love this book and definitely recommend!!

Book Review: Seven Year Itch by Amy Daws
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ (4/5)
Short Summary:
This book is a small town, enemies-to-lovers romance that follows the continuation of characters introduced in the first book of the series. With heartfelt moments, witty banter, and a storyline filled with charm, it picks up the emotional threads and runs with them in a light and fun way.
My Thoughts:
I read the first book in this series and absolutely fell in love with the banter, the exciting conversations, and the lovely characters that were introduced. This book was just as enjoyable. It’s perfect for anyone who loves small town romance and enemies to lovers.
The writing was so easy to follow, with lovable characters and realistic struggles that grounded the plot. It had the perfect balance of humor and heart, and truly made me laugh and smile in the best way. The narrator for the audiobook delivered the story in such a natural and warm tone that it made everything feel real and even more enjoyable to listen to.
This book was absolutely lovely. Sometimes sequels can fall flat compared to the first book, but that was definitely not the case here. It made me laugh, it made me go "aww," and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a light, heartwarming, and realistic palette cleanser.
Thank you, Amy Daws and Harlequin Audio, for providing this copy in exchange for an honest review!

I keep coming back to this series because Teddy Hamilton narrates and his voice is absolutely scrumptious. Dakota and Calder's story was cute and heartwarming, featuring good banter and some steamy scenes. However, I found the main female character's insecurities a bit overdone, which made the storyline feel somewhat flat. Overall, it’s a quick read if you need one, but I highly recommend listening to the audio version.
Thank you to Harlequin Audio via NetGalley for providing me with an advance copy in exchange for an honest review.

This was a big change from the first book, but man did I love it. I love book that are so different than the previous ones in the series and this hit! You definitely still had things that were the same: romance, comedy, spice, banter.... but then you added other things like a sex club and him helping her find herself again and I just fell in love.
Okay you got a cute cat daddy, Calder, and a Fierce Lady, Dakota. I loved how there were so many different mini tropes all in here, but they didn't overpower a previous one. You had a take on enemies to lovers, forced proximity, small town romance, sex exploration to name a few. I had such a good time reading this book and will defiantly have to get a trophy of this later.
OMG the AUDIOBOOK.... YES PLEASE! You have Teddy Hamilton and Erin Mallon that did such a good job. Their narration brought this book off the pages and made me think I stepped into this book. I cannot express how much I loved this book and cant wait to keep reading this series.
One of my favorite Quote was: "If you're intent on a label, you can call us enemies with benefits."
Thank you NetGalley for this ARC and ALC in exchange for my honest review.

This was absolutely hilarious. I’d already purchased both the ebook and audiobook of the first book in this series, Nine Month Contract, so I knew what to expect. The writing was outstanding and so was the narration. Please buy and read this book. You will not be disappointed.

Amy Daws is hit or miss with me and this one was a miss. I couldn't finish it. The way Calder keeps calling her a prude, a shrew, a Karwn when she's not even doing anything but having standards and boundaries. The PowerPoint of sex things he wanted from her, none of them discussed with her, the woman who is trying to gain her confidence back after gaining weight and being emotionally abused by her ex-husband who took her to the cleaners in their divorce. Also dont get me started on the sex clubs, that is not how those work, I promise you that
