while it's not surprising that I enjoyed nine month contract more than this installment to the series, seven year itch was a good time. dakota and calder's hate-to-love thing, their maybe it was always you and I was just too foolish to realize it, made some quality tension, as well as some deserved teasing from their family and friends. everyone in their lives was in on the secret of their obsession with each other before them.

and once again, miss everly, the scheming niece extraordinaire, was the MVP of this romance. though these two may have eventually figured out on their own, she provided the nudge they needed, like she did for trista and wyatt, the couple from the first book. in her quest to find love for each of her uncles, her interference was once again successful, putting the perfect person in the other's path at just the right time.

truthfully, there were some elements of the conclusion that rubbed me the wrong way, impacting my overall rating. for example, a heavily featured location and element of the story was a sex club. this is where dakota and calder's story truly began in seven year itch. unfortunately, this shared desire to explore kink and sexuality was used as a weapon during an argument. it felt unnecessary and icky to me.

all in all, seven year itch was a decent listen and I am curious of how the series will close out, with luke and addison. if I had to guess, everly already has a plan in place.

thanks to amy daws and harlequin audio for access to an ALC in exchange for an honest review.

This was such a fun read. I’m a sucker for enemies to lovers and the push and pull between these characters was magnetic. The more they argued, the more intense their attraction was towards one another. It was so satisfying to watch them bend until they finally broke.

Calder is the middle brother, the one with little to no ambition to ever be in a relationship. He took the mountain life to heart and didn’t want to tie himself down. I love the banter between him and his brothers, also love that he’s referred to as cat daddy 🤣 his love for that cat is next level.

If you read other books by this author, you know the banter is going to be top notch. One moment she has you cracking up, the next it’s a serious moment. It’s a whirlwind of emotions but so dang enjoyable.

Teddy Hamilton and Erin Mallon did amazing as the narrators for this book. Their chemistry through the duet was so good. They really brought the story to life for me and made the listening experience so much better. Perfect pacing the entire time. So so good.

I will say parts of the beginning did seem a bit slow for me and I’m not a fan of the third act break up, but other than that, I really enjoyed this book!

If you’re a fan of enemies to lovers, friends with benefits, found family, great banter and spice, you should be adding this one to your tbr!!

I am not a Teddy Hamilton stan, I've said it before and I'll keep saying it. He's VERY talented but I find his voice a bit crass in situations. Teddy has a time and a place and THIS IS THE TIME AND THE PLACE. He fit this character exceedingly well.

This was my first dip in the Mountain Men Matchmaker series and I enjoyed it. It took my brain a minute to get into the writing but once I got there I thought it was an enjoyable and spicy time.

Thank you so much to HTP, Amy Daws and Netgalley for the opportunity to review this title. I attest that I am leaving my review voluntarily and honestly.

I did an immersive read/listen with this arc/alc!

These narrators are PERFECTION! Every scene was better with the emotion and humor! The spice was next level! These narrators were perfect!

“What happens in Mexico stays in Mexico…” or does it?! Another banging book from the amazing Amy Daws! These mountain men always deliver all the banter, laughs and SPICE!
Everly is back to playing matchmaker now for her Uncle Calder!
Wyatt and Trista are getting married in Mexico and Calder is looking to bring a date. He ends up coming alone and in true Everly fashion she decides to set Calder and Dakota (Cozy’s best friend) up with having to share a room! Let’s say things get interesting! They have a past that wasn’t pleasant but there is no denying their attraction!
The spice was spicingggg! Loved this book! I can’t wait to read the next book in this series! I just love these characters so much! Thank you for allowing me to receive this arc!

Ever since “Nine Month Contract”, I have been anxiously waiting for the next Fletcher brothers book and it did not disappoint. “Seven Year Itch” is a steamy, heartfelt and laugh out loud enemies to lovers rom-com that I devoured in one day.

Calder Fletcher is happily single and living on the mountain with his beloved cat, Milkshake. So the day he finds out his dating profile has been changed without him knowing it, he’s less than pleased. And he’s in need of a casual plus one for his brother’s wedding in Mexico and when he goes to his usual club to find someone, he’s shocked to see the woman he can’t stand there. Dakota is his sister in law’s best friend and the two have butted heads for the last seven years. And now due to a mixup at the hotel, they are forced to share a room at the resort for the wedding. But they start to look at each other in a different way and agree to keep what happens in Mexico, stays in Mexico. But then Dakota shows up at his house in the mountain and asks him to help find her confidence again after her divorce. Things start out temporary but Calder slowly realizes that she has everything he never knew he wanted.

Oh how I love this grumpy mountain man who’s obsessed with his cat and takes him out for walks in a cat sling carrier. Calder is genuine, caring and grumpy perfection. He’s close with his brothers and their significant other and despite what he says, he wanted the happiness that they had. Dakota was someone I loved from the beginning and how much of a spitfire she was. She didn’t put up with anything and kept Calder on his toes. She really started finding herself again after divorce and her confidence grew as she spent time with Calder and their lessons. Calder is what she needed to find her groove back after having such a terrible husband before. The banter in this story was top tier Amy Daws hilarious and I laughed out loud so many times while reading. Even when they were more than just enemies, they kept each other on their toes with their banter. The chemistry was sizzling hot and oh so delicious, that man knows how to treat a woman. But they also connected on a deeper emotional level neither were expecting and I loved that. They truly worked on themselves separately and together. Calder and Dakota grew so much in this story and the ending for them was perfect.

Teddy Hamilton and Erin Mallon were wonderful as Calder and Dakota. I loved Teddy as the vulnerable and grumpy Calder, he had me cracking up one moment and swooning the next. Erin was perfect as Dakota. Her narration was fun, sweet and genuine just like Dakota. The audio is done in duet which makes the story even more enjoyable and hearing Teddy and Erin in almost every chapter was great.

This is the second book in the Mountain Men Matchmaker series! I haven’t read the first book in the series yet, but I didn’t feel like I missed anything by reading them out of order! This was a fun, spicy, banter filled romance! I had no idea I would love Dakota and Calder so much! I’m not a big reader of spicy books, but I thought Daws did well with the spice in this one!

I loved the inclusion of Milkshake the cat and the bonus epilogue at the end with the cat family! Nothing makes me swoon more than a book boyfriend who loves cats! So sweet!

If you love sweet and spicy romances with some cute banter, then I definitely recommend grabbing a copy of this book! I also highly recommend the dual narration audiobook! The narrators really brought the characters to life!

I went into this without any background (on characters or setting), and I think that was my first mistake. I didn’t realize it was an interconnected standalone—the third in the series, at that!

Was it cheesy? Yes. But did I still enjoy the spice? Absolutely! Was like 3.5-4/5 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️

(Thank you, The Hive, Harlequin Trade Publishing, NetGalley, and the author for the ARC in exchange for my honest review. #HiveInfluencer)

Every moment of this story pulled me in deeper and deeper. It wasn’t something to pass the time—it grabbed me and didn’t let go. There were moments that made me smile and laugh out loud, but also times when my chest tightened, like it was touching something deep inside. The whole thing felt honest and real, like someone was speaking straight to my heart about second chances and the power of being open.

The characters felt so human—flawed, brave, and searching for the same things I am: acceptance, truth, and hope. Their journey reminded me that it’s okay to be vulnerable and that sometimes, honesty is the hardest but most freeing choice.

This story didn’t entertain me alone—it stayed with me, like a quiet whisper that keeps reminding me to be brave and true. I loved every part of it.

This writing style def isn’t for me 😔 I have no clue why but it’s a little cringey to me! I think I’m just not a rom com girlie 😭😭😭

I enjoyed this return to Fletcher Mountain! We get to see middle brother Calder fall ass over face in love with his sworn nemesis Dakota. They’ve got a lot of history and a lot of chemistry. Fletcher was the contractor for Dakota’s home renovation seven years ago which went wrong and they’ve hated each other since. They’re thrown together in Mexico at Wyatt and Trista’s (from book 1) destination wedding in an only one bed scenario. That leads to a hot night and sex lessons arrangement back home.

Enemies to lovers is not usually my favorite trope, but I enjoyed this one. I listened to the audiobook which has duet narration by Teddy Hamilton and Erin Mallon who are great. Erin has a little vocal tic of drawing words out that was distracting at first but got less noticeable as the book went on. This was a fun and quick read and I look forward to seeing how Everly is going to meddle with Luke next!

I voluntarily read a gifted copy of this book. All opinions are my own.

I'd love to give a shoutout to Harlequin Audio and the HTP Hive program for letting my ears enjoy this ALC!

Let me start out by saying that I *LOVE* a duet narration audiobook. Both Teddy Hamilton and Erin Mallon knocked this one out of the park. Teddy is always fantastic when narrating books, so this one did not disappoint, and shows (again) why he is one of my favorites!

I love a good divorcee finds herself again story, and we totally get that with our FMC, Dakota. Our MMC is the "bad-boy" of the Fletcher family, Calder. I laughed so hard at the dating profile prologue, and if you've ever found yourself in that scene, I just know you'll laugh too at the idea of coming across a profile like one of his.

I'm a huge fan of interconnected romance series, so I'm really looking forward to what happens for the rest of the Fletcher family! It's always nice to revisit past favorites as well and see how their stories continue.

We get some fantastic tropes in this one:
- Forced Proximity
- Meddling Family Members
- Enemies (?) to Lovers
- Small Town Romance
- Cat Daddy
- Nicknames

I will say that this one is definitely on the spicy side, so if you don't enjoy (very) open-door romance, then this definitely won't work for you. I, however, say bring on all the spice!

Looking forward to reading more from this author!

Dare I say it… is this Cat Daddy my favorite Fletcher brother?? He sure freakin’ is.

Y’ALL. This book had me cackling like full-on, tears-in-my-eyes laughter with the banter, the chaos, and the absolutely unhinged experiences (iykyk 👀). These two?? The definition of enemies to lovers who know how to bang sorry not sorry, but the chemistry was 😮‍💨.

The tension?? Off the charts. The spice?? Chef’s kiss.

And can we talk about Everly for a sec?? Forever the meddling matchmaking queen. She’s out here playing Cupid like it’s a full-time job, and honestly, I support her brand of chaos because the way she matched up her uncle?? ICONIC.

Also, the audiobook? HELLO?? Teddy Hamilton and Erin Mallon understood the assignment. I was living for every second.

If you’re into:
🐾 Cat daddy (yes, really he uses a baby carrier on his chest)
✨ Meddling families who are chaotic in the most lovable way
📊 PowerPoint lists of experiences you absolutely need to try
🔥 Enemies to lovers are 💦 together

Then Seven Year Itch needs to be your next read.

I had a good time with this. Who doesn't love a frenemies with benefits to lovers book? Actually I think this was my first one but it was such a fun relationship dynamic.

Dakota is fresh off a divorce where her husband was no longer attracted to her and not feeling confident in herself or her sexual prowess so she decides to try out a sex club. What she doesn't expect is that the sex club she picks is a regular spot her best friends, husbands, brother whom she had a horrible experience with seven years ago just before her wedding.

I laughed out loud so many times which I have discovered happens whenever I read an Amy Daws book. This book was also much spicier than I was expecting, but I honestly didn't mind.

This whole series is just a vibe and a lot of fun and I love these grumpy and crazy mountain men.

Camden wasn't my favorite type of book boyfriend. He is kind of just a goofy golden retriever, but I did grow to like him as the story progressed.

This is a devour able easy read for anyone who enjoys a romance book that will have them laughing out loud.

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for the advanced reader copy and the advanced listener copy! The narration was fabulous but I already knew I loved these narrators so it was as expected. This is a book that I would highly recommend reading with eyes and/or ears. I did a tandem read and it was wonderful.

I absolutely loved this hilarious, heartfelt enemies-to-lovers romance! From start to finish, Calder and Dakota's story was everything I want to read. It has amazing characters, witty banter, awkward and hilarious situations, and a sweet and sizzling storyline full of heart! Dakota is Calder's sister-in-law’s best friend, and the woman who has hated him for seven years. Now she is divorced and they are stuck together at his brother's destination wedding. They find a truce that leads to secrets being exposed. Now they are home and Dakota needs Calder to help her find the confidence she lost while being married to her terrible ex. Calder never sleeps with the same woman twice, but he has always been attracted to Dakota so he agrees. As they get to know each other, they discover that they are not so different, both healing from a life trauma. As they help each other learn to forgive and trust again, their hearts become involved. What happens when their agreement ends? Will they be strong enough to fight for each other? I fell head over heels in love with Calder and Dakota. Calder is so thoughtful, sweet, protective, and deliciously dirty, he made me swoon the way he made Dakota feel empowered and beautiful. I loved Dakota's strength and new found confidence, and how she really saw Calder as more than the rugged, hot mountain man, helping him realize his passion. Their connection felt genuine, their fast-paced snarky banter was their foreplay to their sizzling hot chemistry. I also loved catching up with all their meddling, loving family as well.
Teddy Hamilton and Erin Mallon did a great job portraying the push/pull between Calder and Dakota, making me feel all their emotions so clearly. They are a perfect rom-com duo as they delivered all the witty banter, emotion, and steam so flawlessly, and making these characters and story come alive! I can't wait to see what the Mountain Men Matchmaker is up to next!

Thank you to #NetGalley and #HarlequinAudio for an advance listening copy of #SevenYearItch. I love the Fletcher brothers and this is another great addition to the series. 4 stars

I tried to read this one because it sounded intriguing, but the sex club threw me for a loop. A poop fetish - you're joking, right? Why is this popular?

I really enjoy the mountain men matchmaker series. This is the 2nd book in the series and it is just as good as the 1st one. This one had the perfect enemies to lovers trope in it, but really I never believed they were enemies. There always seemed to have a lot of sexual tension, that they were bound to hook up. I love the brotherhood of these books and how all the girls seem like great sister in laws to each other. I know the next book in the series will be about the last Fletcher brother, but I am secretly hoping that the author, Amy Daws, writes a book about my favorite meddling character, Everly. She needs her own love story too.

I love a good enemies to lovers trope. This title was written with such great chemistry and I ate up all of the sparring between the characters.
This hit every trope that I enjoy, and the narrators did an excellent job at the dual narration.

Thank you to NetGalley and Harlequin Audio for this ARC in exchange for an honest review.

I really like the Fletcher men in these books. I don’t understand why there are so many times when I like the men more than the women.
I get that most of the time the personalities are for conflict and to give the books purpose but when people don’t make logical decision or have logical thoughts, it just bothers me. It’s mostly a ME thing.
This book was better than the first. Even though I loved Wyatt, I did like the guy in this book better.
Dakota was the annoying part. But I did like how it ended.
I look forward to the next book in the series.

Oh and Teddy Hamilton, as always, was amazing.

The audio was spot on! The narrators captured Dakota and Calder perfectly—their voices brought so much personality and chemistry to the story. I’m a big fan of immersive reading, and this audiobook made the experience even better. Huge thanks to NetGalley and Harlequin for the ALC—I loved every second of it!
