Once again, Everly is meddling in her uncle’s love lives in this follow up to Nine Month Contract. Calder and Dakota have hated each other for seven years, and now they find themselves stuck sharing a room with each other for Calder’s brother’s wedding.
I listened to this one on audio narrated by Erin Mallon and Teddy Hamilton. I think I actually enjoyed this one more than Nine Month Contract! The enemies to lovers in this made it so fun and tension filled. This book is VERY spicy, but again I just really love this cast of characters! I also appreciated Dakota’s journey to loving herself again and Calder finding his passions. This was a fun one!

This one delivered that classic Amy Daws laugh out loud humor and sarcasm, combined with delicious enemies to lovers banter that just hit so right. I loved how this one had a sexier edge to it with the schmexy club and “sexcapades”, but how Amy still managed to keep it playful and funny. I enjoyed watching Calder’s layers unfold, as well as the quirky pets and meddling family that brought lighthearted chaos and charm.
Teddy and Erin brought these characters to life in all of the best ways in this audio. Their comedic timing was on point, and they did a fantastic job highlighting all of the heart and emotion of these characters, but also the playful banter and charm. This was a great listen!

This book had it all, spice, comedy and the happy ending all romance readers want. I like that you didn’t have to read book one to understand book two. I also enjoy that at the end you get a glimpse of the future. Definitely recommend!
Thanks to the publisher for providing me with an advance copy. All opinions are my own.

Really loved this story! It was cute and engaging and I really loved all the characters. I can't wait for the third book!

This book cracked me up multiple times. Dakota and Calder had a very funny story. I enjoyed the first book in this series and was excited to read this one. The characters were funny and unique. I enjoyed their “meet cute” at a sex club, although they actually had history before that meeting. I liked the focus on self acceptance in this book and how much confidence Dakota had, I just felt like it had way more spice than the first book and I didn’t love it this time for some reason. I loved the narrators though! They did a great job!

Seven Year Itch was such a fun, spicy, and heartwarming read!
I loved the enemies to lovers dynamic between Calder and Dakota, their banter was hilarious, and their chemistry was off the charts. It was great to see them slowly open up and grow both as individuals and as a couple. The forced proximity at the tropical wedding was a perfect setup, and I enjoyed every awkward, flirty, and fiery moment between them.
Calder’s transformation was especially touching. He’s more than just a grumpy, bearded mountain man, and watching him discover what he truly wants in life was really satisfying. Dakota was a strong, relatable heroine, and I was rooting for her from the start.
The Fletcher family added so much warmth and fun to the story, and I loved seeing the family bonds play such a big role. This book was sweet, sexy, and full of heart, definitely a feel good romance.
Very grateful to the publisher for my copy through NetGalley, opinions are my own

Seven Year Itch by Amy Daws is a fun, flirty, and emotionally satisfying read that balances humor and heart in all the right places. Daws brings her signature wit to the page, and the banter between the main characters is genuinely entertaining. If you're a fan of second chances and slow-burning reconnections, this one delivers.
I was offered this audio from NetGalley, and the same day it was pulled off their website. I ended up listening to it on Libby.

Seven Year Itch by Amy Daws was an enjoyable story. The narration was amazing as always bringing this story to new levels of hilarious LOL moments.
Caulder “CatDaddy” Fletcher is a ladies man. He’s not serious about relationships and is just looking for a good hookup.
Dakota is moving on from Divorce. She’s bitter but passionate which makes her come off as a “total Karen”.
These two have bad history after a home improvement job seven years previously went wrong and Caulder destroyed Dakota’s wedding dress.
When these two are forced together during a Fletcher family wedding, the banter flies and the chemistry sizzles. Soon Caulder and Dakota find themselves in an agreement of sorts… help Dakota get her confidence back after divorce.
We all know what happens when agreements are made… they eventually get broken. A fun and exciting listen from Amy Daws that’ll have you smiling from ear to ear.

I am a sucker for an enemies to lovers romance and Seven Year Itch hit the spot. It was a little unhinged and unpredictable but full of emotion and lighthearted moments. The flawed but loveable cast of characters and the witty banter between all of them kept me smiling and even genuinely laughing out loud. The familial bonds of both the real and chosen/found family is endearing and gives you that warm fuzzy feeling inside, while also getting that taste of sibling rivalry. The steamy parts were hot and the emotions between Calder and Dakota were raw. The narration by Erin Mallon and Teddy Hamilton was perfection bringing these two to life.
I did struggle with the almost whiplash between the strong emotions of hate to sex as well as all the miscommunication or half-truths/ half the story bits. With how old our main characters are one would hope that as adults they would actually talk it out. If you have no issue spewing insults, you should be able to unleash the truth.
Thank you NetGalley, Harlequin Audio and Amy Daws for the advanced copy in exchange for my honest review.

Amy Daws never disappoints and Calder and Dakota are no exception! The enemies to lovers, one bed, miscommunication tropes thrive in this book. It was a slow burn romance but with lots of smut along the way. I loved the setting of the book/series and the characters are wonderful. Overall, it is another great addition to the series!

Big thank you to Harlequin Audio and NetGalley for the Advanced Listening Copy!
Seven Year Itch by Amy Daws gives us Calder and Dakota’s story, which we got a small glimpse of in the first book when they argued at a party. I enjoyed this book for the most part, but the audio completely sold me. Teddy Hamilton and Erin Mallon doing duet narration is my new favorite thing ever! They are always fantastic narrators separately, but in duet it’s a whole new level of immersion into the story!
There weren’t as many fun Fletcher family dynamics in this book, but the bones were there, especially in the beginning for the wedding scenes. I love how close the brothers are, and the sibling/uncle teasing is always hilarious! I think both Calder and Dakota had a lot of growing up to do in this book, and it got really messy/dramatic there for a bit. Let it be a lesson to everyone to learn how to communicate now so you’re not having easily fixable drama in your 30s. 😇 Dakota reclaiming her confidence after her divorce was really well done, and I think everything resolved nicely in the end. This book had a lot of heart and fun!
Overall this was sexy and full of banter, and perfect for a quick summer listen. 🩷

Mountain Men Matchmaker #2
🎧 Narrated by Teddy Hamilton & Erin Mallon
Thanks to Harlequin Audio & NetGalley for the ALC!
This book was pure chaos—in the best, messiest, most rom-com way. There were laughs, spice, and an enemies-to-lovers situation set in a family’s tropical paradise wedding and ending in the family mountain compound. And honestly? It mostly delivered.
What I loved:
💬 The humor. Calder’s unhinged Tinder bio courtesy of his cousin alone deserves an award.
🔥 Dakota’s post-divorce glow-up. Watching her reclaim her power and rediscover herself was so satisfying.
⚡️The banter and build up. They bicker, they flirt, and the tension is chef’s kiss.
😻 Calder being a soft-hearted cat dad? Obsessed.
🎧 The narration. Teddy Hamilton + Erin Mallon = audio gold.
💥 The vulnerability. Calder letting his guard down was genuinely sweet.
🌶️ The spice took forever but when it hit? It hit.
What didn’t quite land:
➖ The enemies vibe sometimes felt… immature, like they were play-fighting in a high school cafeteria.
➖ The third-act miscommunication? Completely avoidable. Just talk, please.
➖ The pacing was a bit uneven, flipping between heartfelt and over-the-top without much warning.
Overall, it was a wild ride with heart, heat, and a whole lot of chaos. If you’re in the mood for an off-the-rails rom-com with a tattooed mountain man and a fiery heroine that starts on a forced-proximity island getaway and ends on a gorgeous mountain? Dive in.

Thank you to Harlequin Audio and NetGalley for the Audio ARC. I did also buy the physical because the sprayed edges needed to match and were so cute.
Audio with Teddy Hamilton and Erin Mallon
Top Tier, Mountain Main Smut!
The banter was everything. The way that the niece, Everly, is always plotting to get her uncles to fall in love is so funny to me. Dakota did get on my nerves sometimes, but she was definitely working through her own things. I never fully encompassed exactly why she had this hate for Calder, but I don't think she did either. I love the found family in these books and how they are all just men who have sworn off love and keep falling in love. I will be reading all of the Fletcher brothers stories because goodness these mountain men are sexy.

Rating: 4
Spice: 3
Honestly, I wasn't sure what to expect with this book after reading the synopsis. I actually ended up liking it a lot more than I expected. I listened to book 1 in the series and was pleasantly surprised to find that both Teddy Hamilton and Erin Mallon narrated both books in the series. The narrators for this series are some of my absolute favorites. It is the main reason I requested an ALC. They did not disappoint.
The story of the Seven Year Itch was gripping from the beginning. The banter between Calder and Dakota was wonderful from book 1. I was eager to start book 2 right away. Dakota is a wonderful character. I loved her story and what she had overcome.
I would recommend this book to those that like spice and definitely would recommend listening to the book!

4.5 ⭐️ (rounded up)
Loved this one! The cover is stunning—Dakota and Calder look 🔥 and the story inside totally delivers. I enjoyed Nine Month Contract, so I was excited for another brother’s story, and Seven Year Itch did not disappoint.
Dakota is a strong, opinionated FMC with her own business, and while her insecurities popped up a bit too often for my liking, her growth was a great part of the journey. Calder is now my fave brother—confident, doesn’t take 💩from anyone, but is so soft-hearted for the people he loves. Legit, he’s so hot!
Their chemistry was incredible, and the many spice scenes fit perfectly into the plot.
Excited for Honeymoon Phase!
Thanks to Harlequin Audio and NetGalley for the ARC.

DNF. I absolutely hated the humor and bickering in this book. I find it hard to believe that anyone's inner monologue could be that vapid, and it came off to me as unintelligent and not funny. I understand some people like this style of writing, but its not for me.

3.5 rounded up!
I am on a run of good romcoms and you know when Teddy Hamilton and Erin Mallon narrate in duet it's going to be that much better.
Dakota and Calder were feisty "enemies" and that made their back and forth snarky comments hilarious.
This was the light, spicy, funny read I needed. My only qualm is the miscommunications that kept happening, although I can't say I wouldn't have acted any differently had I been in Dakota or Calder's shoes given their past experiences.

Kind of a glitch with this one for me because it was strangely approved the same day it was archived so I ultimately had to wait until I could get a copy from my library.
Amy Daws is hilarious. I suggest reading Nine Month Contract first. I didn't read her Wait with Me series, but I will go back and do it so I can read Max and Cozy's story.
Amy Daws is so far out there that not only will you be laughing out loud at the absurdity of some of her characters and the things they say and do, but you'll also be fanning yourself as they explore their physical relationships. I cannot wait for book 3 (Honeymoon Phase) to release in November.

SEVEN YEAR ITCH
Amy Daws
While I’m not terribly into the romance trope, when I do dip in I love a good enemies to lovers tale and this was right in that sweet spot! Calder and Dakota have fought for years but the heats about to get turned up on this feud! I enjoyed following along while these two figured themselves out and def loved all the minor characters as well, this one is a part of a series so there will be plenty more for those who enjoy these mountain men as I did. 4⭐️ Many thanks to @amydawsauthor @netgalley and @harlequinbooks for the ARC audiobook🖤

Mountain Men Matchmaker #2

Huge thanks to Harlequin Audio for the ALC via Netgalley 💌
This book was chaotic in the best kind of way—but also a little all over the place.
I came in hoping for laughs, spice, and enemies-to-lovers mess, and honestly? It delivered... kind of. The vibes were there. The tattooed mountain man? ✅ The fiery, recently-divorced heroine? ✅ The tropical forced proximity and meddling family antics? ✅✅✅
But there were moments where it leaned so far into the chaos that I had to pause and recalibrate.
🌴 What I liked:
✧ The humor. Calder’s unhinged Tinder bio? 10/10.
✧ Dakota’s post-divorce glow-up. She’s relearning her worth, her power, and her desires.
✧ The banter. Genuinely sharp and funny. They fight. They flirt. They combust.
✧ The spice. Okay, some scenes made me cringe, but others? 🔥
✧ The vulnerability. Calder letting his walls down was sweet and refreshing.
Cat dads with soft hearts? Yes please.
✧ Narration. Teddy Hamilton + Erin Mallon = ✨ audio perfection ✨
👀 What didn’t work for me:
✧ The enemies dynamic felt extra. Like… bordering on immature at times.
✧ The third act miscommunication? So unnecessary. You’re adults. Talk.
✧ The pacing felt uneven—it bounced between emotional and absurd way too fast.
But there is heart beneath the chaos.
Dakota’s journey post-divorce was empowering, and her chemistry with Calder did eventually win me over. It’s messy, but sometimes love is. Especially when you’re dealing with history, hurt, and seven years of unresolved tension.
Final thoughts?
It’s a little unhinged, a little steamy, and very much small-town romcom energy. If you love Amy Daws’ chaotic brand of romance, you’ll have fun with this one—even if you occasionally roll your eyes along the way.
Read if you’re into:
🌺 enemies to lovers
🏔️ vacation chaos + wedding shenanigans
🌺 cat daddies with emotional depth
🏔️ confidence glow-ups + sex club exploration
🌺 meddling families who mean well (but never mind their business)
Sometimes it’s not about being perfect. Sometimes it’s just about showing up and trying again. And that’s what Seven Year Itch does—with messy flair and a lot of heat.
