If you love a good enemies to lovers filled with the best banter then look no further!!Calder + Dakota had me laughing so hard. 🤭
Calder has become the cat daddy of the brothers and is ready to settle down and start his own family.
Dakota is coming off another bad marriage and is trying to find her spark again. Little does she know it’ll come at the hands of a tall, tattooed, bearded, neanderthal, but like an onion who has layers!
I especially loved listening to the audio. With it in duet narration having both speaking at the same time just adds to my experience.🥰🎧
𝚃𝚑𝚊𝚗𝚔 𝚢𝚘𝚞 Amy + NetGalley for allowing me the early listening opportunity!💚

The narrators of this audiobook were fantastic and I am typically a huge fan of Amy Daws but unfortunately I found this one a little boring.

Amy Daws has a heart for Cozy Rom Coms with Spice and we love love it!! This series is so fun and Teddy Hamilton and Erin Malon are so fun together! Truly such a good and fun enemies to lovers story! I love Dakota and Calder were so fun to get to know and watch fall in love! Calder was truly the funniest! I loved his energy and man when he loves it is beautiful! We Love the Mountain Men and can not wait for book 3!

Amy Daws does it again with another hilarious telling of another Fletcher Brother falling hard for his woman. I was laughing from the very beginning of this story when Calder realizes someone took over all of his dating profiles and was trying to help him find an emotional connection instead of a quick hookup.
I loved that I was able to listen to this audiobook. Teddy Hamilton of course brings to life another Fletcher brother and it's so hard to not love every character that man voices. I loved how much emotion and fun that Teddy brought to this story. He understood the assignment. And of course, Erin Mallon was brilliant as Dakota. She brough to life the real-life struggles Dakota was facing from her frustration with her ex-husband and sometimes with Calder. I could feel all the emotions shared within this book and loved these narrators. They really brought to life these characters in all the best ways possible.
I loved that Cat Daddy and his mountain man ways was the focus of book 2. He made me laugh with his ridiculous behavior. And the more you get to know Calder, the more you realize there is so much more than what he shares with those around him. He was hiding a lot more pain than his brothers knew and kept going with the flow, thinking it was easier. So, reading about him getting his happy ending was one of my favorite moments.
And Dakota I just adored. I loved that she was rebuilding her confidence after she realized she had married a man who kept trying to tear her done. I loved that she was embracing herself in her thirties and realizing she was still confident but in a different capacity.
And the chemistry between these two was fantastic. It builds in the best way and you can't help but cheer for them to finally figure it out. This story is another top story from Amy with laugh out moments you'll enjoy. And Calder carries his cat around in a baby carrier, what more could you want?

Narration 10/10 🎧
Despite the book not being as good I as expected, the narrators did an incredible job.
This book was sweet and occasionally funny, but overall it just didn’t live up to the first in the series.
I really struggled with the enemies-to-lovers dynamic—it felt immature and petty for no real reason, which made it hard to get invested in the romance. These characters are in their 30s, and yet their behavior read more like high school drama than adult tension.
That said, there were some bright spots:
-I loved the family dynamics—I came back for them after book one, and they didn’t disappoint.
-The humor landed! There were several moments that genuinely made me laugh.
-The cat. Iconic 😂🐾
Unfortunately, the rest fell flat. I especially hated how poorly Calder (the MMC) was treated—not just by side characters but by the FMC too. It made it hard to root for their relationship.
The pacing also felt off. The trip portion had some momentum, but once they returned, the story dragged and lost its spark.
I’ll keep reading the series because I’m curious about the other characters, but this one just wasn’t a hit for me.

This book was another great addition to the Mountain Man series. Usually I'm not a fan of the same narrators throughout a series, but Teddy and Erin nail it everytime. I don't have to think they are other characters.
The fact it was duet too? Just brought me more into the story.

Gah!
I love Calder.
He was hilarious, and his Cat Dad persona was everything!
This book had me laughing from the get-go. That ad the book starts with is 🤌Chef’s Kiss.
I must admit that it took me a while to like Dakota. I didn’t like her for a good chunk of the book. Don’t worry, she redeems herself, but it was hard. She felt bratty and b1tchy, and I wanted to smack her.
The narrators did an excellent job of bringing the characters to life. I loved them for the roles.
Overall, a great continuation to the series. I can’t wait for the last brother!

I really did enjoy this one more than the first! But I loved both, something about this was so much fun! I loved the cat daddy, I loved the banter. You never knew which direction this was going to take. I love a good enemies to lovers and this was it! I can't wait to see what their niece come up with for Luke!

The Seven Year Itch audiobook was a win for me thanks to the duet narration, which truly brought the story to life. The chemistry between the narrators added so much depth and made even the slower moments feel more engaging. While the overall plot didn’t completely hook me, the audio performance absolutely elevated the experience. I

Thanks to NetGalley and Harlequin Audio for an advanced listeners copy of this audiobook.
I had no plans to read/listen to Book 1 of this series as pregnancy is not usually my jam. When book 2 popped up on NetGalley, I was intrigued and it seemed like as good a time as any to dive in. (Book 1 was fine... funny and entertaining, despite the "surrogate" plot line. Definitely helpful to get the "lay of the land", er, mountain.)
Calder Fletcher is brother number two on Fletcher Mountain. A grumpy, tattooed, loner playboy... and typical middle child - does what he wants, when he wants, but is always there for those he loves. Dakota Schaefer is an independent, strong-willed pain in the ass, who doesn't put up with anyone's sh*t (typical only child)... and also happens to be a 30-something divorcee coming out of a toxic marriage who has lost her mojo. She also happens to hate her best friend's husband's brother (Calder) thanks to a home renovation gone wrong. So why do sparks fly when the two unexpectedly cross paths at... a sex club...? Chemistry, that's why.
Cue the matchmaking niece, a destination wedding in Mexico, one bed at the resort, and the perfect set-up for enemies to become lovers. While the plot is predictable and a little textbook, the author has a way with humor and really makes the characters relatable. You definitely see the happy ending coming from a mile away, but in these trying times, that's all we're really asking for.
Overall, it's a cute, fluffy, rom-com and the narrators do a great job. (Hellooooo Teddy Hamilton!)

This was such a fun read! It was a hilariously funny enemies to lovers RomCom. The banter was great, and I loved the found family. This book made me laugh out loud at times, but there was also plenty of emotion and character growth. I really want to read about the other brothers now!

This series is so fun. I love the Fletcher brothers and seeing them get their HEAs. I was excited for Calder’s story, he is hilarious and I love his energy. And Dakota is an easy FMC to relate to, she is strong and sassy, but has some insecurities to work through thanks to her ex husband. She and Calder have some serious enemy vibes and can’t stand each other. I loved finding out why through flashbacks, and how they end up coming together. They have top tier banter and chemistry, and the animosity between them definitely fuels the fire and passion.
Also a shoutout for Everly because she is the meddling niece playing matchmaker for her Uncles, love her!
🎧The audiobook is narrated in duet by Teddy Hamilton and Erin Mallon, and they gave excellent performances as always! They bring this little world created by Amy Daws and the characters in it to life in the best ways, they are both so good at capturing the humor, sarcasm, tension and love throughout.

Audiobook Review – Seven Year Itch by Amy Daws
I loved this audiobook! The narration brought so much life to the story, especially Calder—the tattooed, mountain man, cat daddy with a hilarious personality that had me laughing out loud more than once. His charm and chaotic energy were impossible not to love.
I also deeply connected with Dakota. As a divorced woman working to rediscover herself and rebuild her confidence, her journey felt so real and empowering. Watching her step into her own was inspiring and relatable.
This story had the perfect balance of humor, heart, and heat. If you love quirky, heartfelt romances with strong female leads and unforgettable book boyfriends, this one’s a must-listen!

After reading the first book in this series, I desperately hoped that I would love the second book as much as I did the first.
Fun fact - LOVED THIS BOOK!
I loved getting to read Cat Daddy - aka Calder's book! ugh! love this guy.
Everly - everyone's favorite niece and the ultimate matchmaker, sets Calder up with Dakota. Dakota happens to be Cozy's best friend. I love how Amy keeps the family dynamics consistent from book one to book two! Love her writing.
This book was SPICY and I loved it.
Calder and Dakota don't have the best history, but when things heat up between them, all of that goes out the door.
All the best ingredients for an enemies to lovers book are here. The banter is on fire. I laughed so much during this book.
The found family that this group of characters have with one another is beautiful and carries over to this book from the first.
When I say this book has SPICE... I mean... SPICE.. nice healthy sexual exploration in this book.
The chemistry.. oh my goodness.
Calder is such a softie at heart.
I kept fussing at Dakota internally to open her eyes to what was right in front of her.
I love this book. I love Amy Daws. This is the best series I have read in a while!
Thank you to NetGalley, Amy Daws, and the publisher for the opportunity to read and review this ARC!
Immediately add this to your summer TBR!
Happy Reading!
Addendum: I was also lucky enough to be able to get an ARC of the audiobook! I loved it even more as an audiobook, and I stand by the review above regarding the audiobook!

Amy's written another book in the Mountain Men series, filled with snappy banter, laugh-out-loud moments, and an addictive read that makes her stories so easy to breeze through.
Dakota has always been someone else's nightmare, but now, seven years later, both of them stuck on this tropical island, she's his problem. I enjoyed the body positivity in this book and how Dakota was a fiery main character. Or maybe that was just her hate towards Calde,r which was humorous when it was from Calder's POV. Calder is the ultimate funny cat dad, and his sarcastic inner monologue had me cracking up. Dakota, on the other hand, is a fiery divorcee trying to reclaim her confidence—especially in the bedroom—and I loved her journey.
There’s plenty of spice between Calder and Dakota. There's no holding back on the spice, and the chemistry is off the charts between them. But it’s not just steam; there’s constant tension that keeps you on the edge of your seat just waiting for them to do it!!!! Or rip each other's throats out. The enemies-to-lovers vibes are constant and really hitting the mark. The forced proximity added fuel to the fire, and while things started off as friends-with-benefits, there was emotional tension and so many funny moments.
I always love a meddling family and this series has that at it's foundation. I loved the premesis of the story and how their relationship blossomed. Their romance was both chaotic and charming.

I really enjoyed the nine month contract, but this one was kind of a mess for me. The heroine was so shrill. I generally like an "unlikable" heroine but this one was constantly shrieking and being genuinely mean. She said so many terrible things to the MMC, I can't see how he could overlook it.
The narration was excellent though! It just couldn't save this book for me.

I absolutely loved this book! The way the story was written was done in such a way that was entertaining, heartfelt, and realistic.
I loved all of the characters in this story. Dakota and Calder were so much fun to follow and I loved their chemistry together. They were such well rounded characters and had a lot of depth to them, which made their interactions more believable. All of the side characters were great too!
Even though there was a lot of spice in this story there was still a plot. It was balanced well with emotional elements making this a really good romance read.
✨It can easily be read as a standalone, as I hadn’t read book one and was able to jump right in.

Thank you to the publisher for the gifted copy of the book.

oh boy it was good to be back with the mountain men.
Going into Seven Year Itch, I knew Dakota and Calder were about to DELIVER. And they absolutely did. Sharp wit, banter, chaos, vulnerability and SPICE (yes, in all caps). I love a forced proximity trope, and if this book isn't the definition of that, idk what is. The set up was perfection.
And of course Erin Mallon and Teddy Hamilton absolutely nailed the narration for Dakota and Calder. They were just perfect for the characters.
Over the years reading, I have become a bit pickier with my humour in books and whilst this book was fun and a laugh, some of the jokes did borderline on a bit too cringey for me - that's not to say you might not enjoy it, it just wasn't always for me.
All in all though I'm super keen to get my hands on Luke's book, I just KNOW it's going to be a good one.

Dakota’s divorce has left her with insecurities even if she hides them beneath her sarcastic demeanor. Years early she and Calder found themselves at odds with each other and the intervening years have changed nothing. Now she finds herself having to share accommodations with him for her friend’s destination wedding and once they stop arguing they give in to the chemistry between them, but it doesn’t end when they return home.
Due to his past Wyatt has no interest in anything longer than one night with a woman. The relationship he has with his cat Milkshake is delightful and even though he and his brothers might not always agree they are always there for each other when it matters. The last thing he wants to do is spend time with Dakota or at least that was what he thought…
The interactions between Wyatt and Dakota were humorous and hot however there is still an emotional element to their story due to their pasts. The chemistry between them was great and the secondary characters added depth to the story. Erin Mallon brings out of the sass of Dakota’s personality while Teddy Hamilton portrays the swoony and surly sides of Wyatt.

Amy has done it yet again!! A laugh out loud hell of a fun time with some memorable scenes (that slow mo nipple flying water volleyball scene is going to live rent free in my head forever) a swoon worth couple, and the spiciest naughtiest scenes!
Calder and Dakota HATE each other with a fiery passion and will use all the weapons at their disposal to jab, poke, and piss off each other.
Dakota was a badass — owns her successful business and doesn’t back down from her stance — who’s been battling some insecurities after her divorce and being married to the biggest prick of them all. (Yes, an upgrade trope!)
Calder is your typical middle child people pleaser with a heart of gold and the cutest cat daddy but he’s also a rugged tattooed mountain man who’s good with his hands.. hehe
Some of my favorite microtropes were in there like HE crawls to her and he washes her hair, but also included a little sex club exploration.
The audio was yet again perfectly produced — duet narration with non other than Teddy Hamilton, absolutely killing it in the most hilarious scenes. He just gets the tone right every single time and makes you feel all the emotions — whether that’s the humorous emasculating tampon scene or the vulnerable eureka moments — Teddy does best.
