I haven't read any other books that in this series, and the nice thing is that it did not feel necessary to do so in order to enjoy this book. The main characters were witty, entertaining, and fascinating to read. The realizing their feelings took a little longer than I wanted it to be, but it was still enjoyable to go on the journey. They were quite the characters.

Seven years ago, Dakota nearly extinguished Calder’s love for home renovations—and they've been enemies since. But as fate would have it, she’s also the best friend of his soon-to-be sister-in-law, making her impossible to avoid. Cue Calder’s niece: a shameless romantic and enthusiastic meddler. She’s convinced that Calder and Dakota are meant for each other, and in a move worthy of rom-com legend, she orchestrates a shared room situation for the upcoming wedding that somehow works out. At least for the duration of the wedding weekend. Until they go back home and Dakota asks for Calder's help to get her groove back after her painful divorce...and, well, things get complicated and real. And also at times hilarious.
It took me a bit to fully connect with this pairing and fall for this book like the first. I think a lot of this was around Dakota- which feels unfair, because she's really had a lot of pain in her past. But she's all edges and growl at first. And at times their enemies vibes reads immature and over the top...other times the absurdity is lots of fun. Dakota at times feels rude and catty, but as we dig deeper into the story, I felt more for Dakota as we understand her bitterness and how her divorce really crumbled her. Anger is all bravado, a shield from her pain, her shame, and her sadness. Her edge is mostly just fear, and I really appreciated how Calder starts to help her soften again, how he sees her for more than her edges.
The chemistry is definitely there- and certainly we get plenty of spice as these two explore. The tension, the edge, the banter, the intensity all evolve into something fiery and fun as these two evolve into unexpected friends that then blossoms into more. Calder is really delicious and quite endearing as our hero- plus I live for a fierce cat daddy. And I loved our extended cast and getting to revisit my darlings from book one (which still is my favorite so far).
The audio is narrated by Teddy Hamilton & Erin Mallon, who are truly a dream team pairing. Teddy is effortlessly charming, and Erin brings all the edge to Dakota while also bringing some emotional nuance to the performance that makes Dakota feel a bit more accessible at first in the audio (vs. the ebook). A great performance by both.

Seven Year Itch is a really fun, super spicy enemies to lovers romcom.
Everly is back to her stealthy matchmaking ways, this time trying to get Uncle Calder to see what’s right in front of his eyes.
There is a destination wedding, a bit of only one bed trope, visits to a sex club, and plenty of those hunky Fletcher mountain men! But watch out… This story sneaks up on you and hits you with all the emotion before all is said and done.
I listened to most of this book on audio and the narration is wonderful! Definitely the way to go.
Seven Year Itch is a standalone story but part of a very addictive series and I cannot wait for more!
-4 Stars-

I listened to the audiobook. It was duet narration performed by Teddy Hamilton and Erin Mallon. As always, they did amazing! Their voices fit the characters and complemented each other well. They brought the characters personalities and emotions to life and kept my attention the entire time.
I enjoyed this book. I enjoyed it more than the first book actually. It wasn’t as funny as the first book but, there were still some really good funny moments. I liked that the relationship between the characters in this book had more depth with their history. I liked the chemistry between Calder and Dakota and the banter between them was great. It had me giggling and kicking my feet. It was a fun, sweet and spicy read.
Some of the characters from the first book are in this one so I’d recommend reading it first. It can be read as a stand alone though. If you like small town romance with some humor and tropes like one bed and enemies to lovers you’ll like this book.
Thank you NetGalley for the opportunity to listen to this ALC!

A fantastic follow up to the heartwarming and hilarious nine month contract, this story follows Calder and his long time frenemy Dakota. This is a forced proximity only one bed spicy romcom that I could not put down. The narration was spot on for both characters.

Review: 3.75 ⭐️
I liked this book, but book one was better and had more of an emotional pull to it. I didn’t identify as much with the FMC, and while I was happy the MMC got his book sooner than I thought he would, I would’ve liked to have them build on their bickering relationship through the books while the other brothers stories were told. Enemies to lovers are usually the 3rd or 4th book in a series for a reason, as side characters they build on their bickering relationship. Being the 2nd book kind of leaves you to just believe they hated or beefed with each other. You don’t get to see it as much. So when they cave and give into the relationship or lust it’s well waited for and desired.
This almost came off as insta love in a way.
But besides the relationship build, the writing and back and forth between the 2 main characters was hilarious, better than book one in that aspect. The first 50% I found myself laughing out loud at how the MMC and FMC bantered/bickered.

This book was amazing. I loved the fact that they already had some history which I think added to the depth of the characters. The niece is so sneaky. I can't wait to see how is sets things up in the next book.

A Classic Amy Daws Delight—with Beards, Banter, and Belly Laughs!
Amy Daws delivers yet again with the ultimate comfort listen. This book is everything I love about her writing: laugh-out-loud moments that had me giggling like a maniac in public, a charmingly chaotic family that feels like home, and a swoony, tattooed, bearded man who deserves his own calendar. Bonus points for a relatable, real-sized heroine who brings heart, heat, and hilarious inner monologue. If you’re new to Amy Daws, start here. If you’re a longtime fan, welcome back to your happy place.

I had so much fun with this. I listened along to the audiobook as I read and I feel like that made the experience even better.
The banter was the star of the show. It had me on the freaking floor it was so funny. The dialogue is where the audio really shined through because the narrators did such a fantastic job just portraying the absolute sass from these characters.
I really liked the plot. I mean I'm always down for a spicy checklist 😌. But the back and forth between enemies and lovers was 🤌🏻🤌🏻🤌🏻. They just couldn't decide what they were for the longest time but it never got to be too much. It felt right with the story and like their relationship was naturally progressing that way.
Those spicy scenes?? With the audio??? Yes freaking please.

Seven Year Itch was a total blast! I was laughing from page one with that witty banter. Literally page 1 – Calder’s profile page was too funny. Calder and Dakota’s snarky back-and-forth had me grinning the whole time.
I loved the whole enemies-to-lovers vibe. 🥰
My only tiny thing: a few parts felt like they went on a smidge too long, but honestly it didn’t kill the mood. Still a super fun and spicy read that had me hooked.
4 shiny stars from me! 🌟

This enemies-to-lovers romance was packed with the witty banter I love! It’s fun, spicy, and unexpectedly sweet. Dakota and Calder had a deeper history than I expected, and that grumpy mountain man/cat daddy totally won me over with his protective streak and hidden soft side!
A wild run-in at a s3x club, some family meddling, and forced to share one bed in Mexico sparks a frenemies with benefits situation and personal revelations neither of them saw coming.
The audiobook DUET narration by Teddy Hamilton and Erin Mallon brought all the flirty tension and witty banter to life.

Teddy Hamilton could narrate a grocery list and I’d listen—so obviously, I was in. This little series has an absolute chokehold on me. It’s wildly inappropriate in the best possible way, and I am 100% here for it.
Yes, it’s all a little farfetched, but honestly? Who cares. If you're over brooding billionaires and need something offbeat and hilarious, run to this series. Cat daddy Calder is ridiculous and I love him. The banter is sharp, the energy is chaotic, and while some of the love scenes are cringe-adjacent, I’m already impatiently waiting for the next book.

Author Amy Daws is just a hoot- her sense of humor is so fun and I always adore her heroines. This book was simply hilarious and made me smile so much. Cat Daddy? Goodness, that made me giggle every time. The banter was perfect and I am always in for an enemies to lovers tale.

Once again, there were parts of this that I really enjoyed, and other parts that were beyond wild. I did enjoy the back and forth between Dakota and Calder for the most part, but sometimes it was a little unhinged. I am invested in the universe though, so I will continue to read the other books in the series.

The character development in this book was TOP tier. Calder and Dakota’s chemistry?? Undeniable. The enemies to lovers banter??? CHEFS KISS! I LOVED this book.
I resonated with Dakota so much. She had really been through it and her feelings were so raw and relatable. Her sass and undeniable strength had me rooting for her the entire time.
Calder and the mountain man he is. 🥵 There is just something about a hilarious MMC that gets me hooked every single time and Calder was that. He had so much emotional baggage even he hadn’t seen without the help of Dakota shining a light on it. Despite the enemies vibe they give, they were definitely meant to be lovers!
Teddy Hamilton is my FAVORITE for a rom-com audio. He plays the funny guy vibe and does it so well. Him and Erin Mallon just mesh when creating audios and really make the book come to life.
I would highly recommend this book/audiobook to all my rom-com, spicy book loving besties!

There’s a fine line between love and hate and it seems like everyone close to Calder and Dakota can see their true feelings before they do. I enjoyed the first book in this series, but cat daddy Calder stole my heart. He has always found Dakota beautiful, but she was married, even if he hated her ex. Due to a disaster that happened when he was renovating her house, their relationship has been very cantankerous. When they have to share a one bed room for a week, emotions boil over and they agree to one night.
I loved their banter, but when they started working together and she saw his artistry they shined. I liked seeing them support each other, but I wished their communication was a little better. There were times I felt like no matter what he said or did, she was too hard on him. I felt like she overreacted when a secret was revealed, and I loved how he proved his feelings for her. I also enjoyed the relationship between him and his brothers. The conversation she had with her friends was also a nice touch.
I loved Calder and Dakota, even when they were arguing. I loved how he made her feel supported, respected, safe and loved. I also adored how she supported him and helped him realize what he wanted to do and how to attain that. I can’t wait for the next book.
The narrators did a fantastic job of bringing Calder and Dakota to life. The brought emotion and feeling to the words Ms. Daws wrote. I will definitely listen to these wonderful narrators again. I received an ALC and this is my honest, voluntary review.

Seven year itch was such a good romcom to listen and I always enjoy anything teddy Hamilton voices. I am also really enjoying Amy daws writing style and Will definitely check out more by her

I really enjoyed this romcom enemies to lovers storyline. A great addition to this series. The banter is top notch and the chemistry is 🔥🔥🔥. Definitely worth the listen. The narration is great.

We are back on the mountain with Calder & Dakota's book!
In another attempt at a setup these two enemies find themselves shaking up together while on vacation. The laughs and awkwardness continue on from there. I love the awkward! From the lessons to lust filled fighting to cat daddy moments I adored each part of this story. This family is all up in each others business and I wouldn't have it any other way. Love the Mountain Men!
Also for the audiobook lovers this one is narrated by Erin Mallon & Teddy Hamilton so you know it's an epic listen!

Loved Dakota and Calder! I listened to audiobook and it was amazing! And I read it too!! Amy Daws gives reader another amazing book from Fletcher Mountain! Full of banter, steam and growth! They love to hate each other… but Calder wants to help Dakota… and both find love together through it all… clubs, cats and all!!
