This was my first Amy Daws novel and I'm looking forward to checking out more books written by Daws! I didn't know that this was a series, therefore, I didn't check out the prior book before reading this one. I don't think readers have to necessarily read the first book in the series, but it would've been more informative to read that book based on the history contained within the first story. I will be checking out the first story now that I'm interested in reading about that couple and their journey.
Moreover, I really enjoyed listening to the narrators and I think they did a spectacular job at capturing the characters. I would listen to more audiobooks narrated by this duo again, and anything else they work on in the future. All and all, check out this book if you want a spicy, hate-to-love romance book for the summer.

If you're a sucker for a chaotic family of brothers, a rivals-to-lovers dynamic, and watching a chronic playboy emotionally combust over one very strong-willed woman, then buckle up because this is going to be quite a ride. This book delivers on everything and then some. Calder is a tall, tatted, cat-dad mountain man who's all muscles and bad decisions until one hard-headed woman (who's been yelling at him for years) sets his entire emotional equilibrium on fire. The book kicks off with a hilarious dating profile gone rogue, thanks to his meddling family. He is searching for a date to his brother's destination wedding only to end up with the vain of his existence, Dakota, his SIL's best friend. The book quickly spirals into a steamy enemies-to-lovers, to friends with benefits/Calder as her wingman, and then maybe something more. Dakota has years of pent-up frustration. She's fiery, fearless, and frankly not here for his broody charm. She gives as good as she gets and knows who he is, and that's precisely why he starts falling for her.

The audiobook was a treat. The dual narrators nail the dynamic of each character. Their chemistry heightens both the banter and the steam. This book was an absolute joy to listen to, but be sure to bring a fan, as it's pretty hot.

Thank you to NetGalley and Harlequin Audio for the opportunity to review and provide my honest feedback.

📖🎧: Seven Year Itch by Amy Daws
🎙️: DUET 💕 Teddy Hamilton and Erin Mallon (thank you for the audio ARC, Amy!)
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
🌶️🌶️🌶️

3 words: DAKOTA. AND. CALDER. 🔥😍🔥

When I tell you Amy has outdone herself with this book, I mean it! I loved these two and I didn’t want the book to end. I’ve already listened to it twice because I love the story, and the duet narration, that much!

Oh, and don’t forget feisty miss Everleigh, without whom they’d probably still be dancing around each other pretending not to be able to stand one another.

Things Amy Daws does well:
✔️sassy banter
✔️steamy 🌶️ scenes
✔️enemies to lovers
✔️protective MMCs
✔️irrational man fits (you know, the ones they throw before they realize they’re madly in love with the FMC 🤣)
✔️duet narration 🎧 (especially Teddy and Erin🔥)

Add a bit of Gilmore Girls inspo (of course I clocked Logan’s nickname for Rory peppered throughout and, as a Team Logan girlie, thank you 😉) and you’ve got yourself a hot-and-spicy combo of aural magic!

Teddy and Erin are always a match made in narrator-heaven, and this time was no different! They really bring each character to life, and they have incredible chemistry in duet form.

Seven Year Itch was a fun enemies to lover rom com and I loved Dakota and Calder’s romance from start to finish. I absolutely loved the tension and verbal sparring between these two. I loved seeing Dakota find herself throughout the story after her divorce and I loved the way he built her up despite all of their verbal sparring. These two had me laughing out loud, swooning and fanning myself and I loved every minute.

Erin Mallon and Teddy Hamilton narrate this story in duet. I love this duo in Amy’s books. Erin brings to life Dakota’s fun personality but also does great at portraying her insecurities. Teddy does great at bringing out Calder’s grumpiness and swoon. Both of their performances were amazing and fun!

Thank you Amy & NetGalley for an early read and listen!

Story Vibes:
Meddling families, sweet adorable cat, vacations and a heroine who despises the hero? Yep, this story has all those vibes and so much more!

Audiobook Vibes:
Duet narration is performed by 𝑇𝑒𝑑𝑑𝑦 𝐻𝑎𝑚𝑖𝑙𝑡𝑜𝑛 & 𝐸𝑟𝑖𝑛 𝑀𝑎𝑙𝑙𝑜𝑛. They absolutely nailed it! The banter, the chemistry, the emotions.....they captured it all perfectly and I couldn't get enough of them! This narrating duo always brings their all and there the perfect choices for Calder & Dakota!

Overall Vibes:
𝑺𝒆𝒗𝒆𝒏 𝒀𝒆𝒂𝒓 𝑰𝒕𝒄𝒉 is taking us back to the Fletcher brothers and all their fun & love. I'm so excited to say that Calder's (bless his ever loving quirky self) story is finally here and I couldn't have loved it more!

Dakota & Calder have had a....hateful acquaintanceship....for seven years. But, now, at Calder's brother's wedding they are back in each other's presence. The enemies vibe is still strong.....until it isn't. They are stuck with some force proximity action, hate to love banter, one night full of enemies with benefits fun, and some second chances.

Mix in some lovable animals(he's a cat daddy! Literal SWOON!), a meddling matchmaking niece & all the lovable Fletcher brothers and this one definitely scratches the surface"itch" for an unforgettable spice filled romcom!

𝙰𝚖𝚢 𝙳𝚊𝚠𝚜 has done it again & I can't wait for 𝑯𝒐𝒏𝒆𝒚𝒎𝒐𝒐𝒏 𝑷𝒉𝒂𝒔𝒆!

Seven Year Itch is a sexy, swoony, and surprisingly heartfelt small-town romance that checks all the boxes for steamy romance lovers—enemies to lovers, fiery banter, a lush mountain setting, and even a sex club backdrop to shake things up. Amy Daws delivers a bold, empowering story of self-discovery and unexpected connection, all wrapped up in a delightfully spicy package.

Dakota, freshly divorced and determined to reclaim her pleasure and identity, decides to explore what truly turns her on—starting at a sex club. What she doesn’t expect is to keep running into Calder: a broody, muscled, tattooed mountain man who looks like he split logs for breakfast and scowled while doing it. Their chemistry crackles from the first encounter, with sharp-tongued banter and tension that feels as rugged and intense as the mountain landscape itself.

Despite their initial clash, what unfolds is a slow-burn journey of trust, vulnerability, and heat—and Daws doesn’t hold back on the spice. Calder may be rough around the edges, but he’s also attentive, respectful, and exactly the kind of man Dakota never knew she needed.

The audiobook narration is a total win. Teddy Hamilton is magnetic—his deep, sexy voice brings Calder to life with irresistible charm and perfect timing. His performance elevates every smoldering scene. Erin Mallon delivers a strong, nuanced take on Dakota, capturing both her strength and insecurity as she ventures into new territory. Together, they make this already electric romance even more immersive.

If you love sex-positive heroines, gruff heroes with hidden hearts, and romance that sizzles with emotional depth and physical heat, Seven Year Itch will absolutely hit the spot.

Seven Year Itch by Amy Daws is the second in the Mountain Men Matchmaker series. It could be read as a stand-alone but you would miss some references to the first book. I suggest reading the first one, Nine Month Contract first and then come back to this one. Calder and Dakota have a chance meeting after 7 years. A work situation had left them disliking other. Then they are forced to share a room at the wedding of Calder’s brother in Mexico.

Everly, the niece, is back from the first book. She does some meddling, which she does best! She is my favorite side character and I hope we get more of her in each of the books in the series! After they return, Dakota propositions Calder with being her wingman to help her post divorced. It is a fun story. It is spicier than the first book.

It is duet narrated by Teddy Hamilton and Erin Mallon. They did a great job! Thank you NetGalley and Harlequin Audio for this advanced reader copy in exchange of my honest review.

4.5 stars!

Can you ever go wrong with Teddy Hamilton and Erin Mallon as narrators? The answer is no. You can't. Thank you so much to NetGalley and Harlequin Audio for an advance audio of Seven Year Itch by Amy Daws.

This story was so good! Calder Fletcher and Dakota Schaefer don't exactly have the greatest track record, but thanks (or no thanks) to a little meddling from his niece, Calder finds himself sharing a room with his sister-in-law's best friend at a destination wedding. Calder is so much fun. And did I mention he's a cat daddy - a very devoted cat daddy - and it is adorable.

Despite being sworn enemies, as they spend more time together, they find themselves in a frenemies with benefits arrangement, complete with spicy lessons. There's so much teasing and flirting and banter in this book, but it's not without some past hurts coming to light. Dakota is trying to find herself in her post-divorce life, and I love how Calder steps in to be her safe place during her exploration. This book is sweet and spiiiicy and such a fun time and easy listen.

And of course we can't forget Teddy and Erin's duet narration. Their performances definitely enhances the fun vibe of the story. Teddy is so good as a loveable cat daddy, and Erin did a great job hitting all of Dakota's emotions. Not to mention their banter was top notch.

t r o p e s:

enemies to lovers
forced proximity
spicy lessons
cat daddy

I’ll admit I went into this book not knowing it was the second in a series and having not read Amy Daws previously.

Boy am I glad I happened upon this one. Not only was the story equal parts funny, sexy, and moving but the narration and dual POV was *chef’s kiss*.

I can’t wait to go back and listen to Nine Month Contract while I eagerly await Honeymoon Phase.

Thank you Harlequin for the opportunity!

4.5 stars!

All Calder Fletcher wanted was to bring a plus one to his brother's destination wedding in Mexico, but his family foiled his plans. Well, not all of them, but his lovable but meddling niece Everly. To make matters worse, he now has to share a room with Dakota Schaefer, his nemesis for the last seven years. Sounds like an Everly matchmaking plot to me!

All the tension and banter in this book had me laughing and on edge as I listened to the book. This enemies with benefits turned lovers was filled with antics and lots of shenanigans. That fine line between hate and love, the meddling niece, the banter among the brothers, and the love that eventually developed between Calder and Dakota all made for a great escape from the real world.

Erin Mallon and Teddy Hamilton brought their "A" games to the narration of this book. They embodied the characters' personalities and brought this story to life. I can't wait for the next book in the series.

I received an advance copy of this book at my request and voluntarily left this review.

This was a steamy yet cozy read! It’s the 2nd book in the Mountain Men Matchmaker Series. The Seven Year Itch follows Dakota, a t-shirt shop owner and Calder, a tattooed mountain man cat daddy. Yes, I said cat daddy. This MMC is was hot! Calder is protective, caring, and definitely falls first-even if he doesn’t realize it. Dakota has that black cat attitude, and dealing with insecurities deeply instilled from her ex-husband.
This was a great audiobook listen. Teddy Hamilton and Erin Mallon never miss! They fit the characters well and were very enjoyable.

Thank you NetGalley and Harlequin Audio for this ALC in exchange for an honest review!

First and foremost, thank you to the publisher and author for an advanced copy in exchange for an honest review.

I thought I loved Wyatt, but fucking Calder? CALDER!!!! Oh my god. I honestly do not know where to being with this review. The enemies to rivals in this one was done perfectly. And then the one bed trope to top it off? Combined with the meddling family? Perfection. Will forever be a huge fan of the Fletcher family!

And the duel narration?! Ugh!!! It was so good!!!

Loved being back on Fletcher Mountain! I was excited to read Calder’s story after getting to know him in Max and Wyatt’s books. We also get to know Dakota in Last on the List as Cozy’s best friend so it was fun to see their self proclaimed enemies to lovers story play out. This is book 2 in the Mountain Men Matchmaker series and I definitely recommend reading the books in order to get the most out of the story. The narration as great as always! It was fun to hear Erin Mallon and Teddy Hamilton back as these characters.

Seven Year Itch by Amy Daws is a sizzling, enemies-to-lovers romance with all the sunshine and tension you could hope for. All this bearded, tattooed cat dad wanted was a carefree weekend fling at his brother’s destination wedding in Mexico, but thanks to his meddling family his plans crash and burn spectacularly. Now he’s stuck sharing a room in paradise with Dakota, the one woman who’s hated him for seven years… and the one he can’t stop wanting.

I absolutely loved this story’s mix of vacation shenanigans, hilarious family meddling, and the slow-burn tension that turns years of mutual loathing into undeniable passion. Watching these two sworn enemies bicker, banter, and eventually break down each other’s walls was so satisfying. It’s got the perfect blend of heat, humor, and heartfelt moments that make you root for a messy, complicated couple to find their happily ever after.

I’d recommend Seven Year Itch to anyone who loves feisty banter and forced proximity, meddlesome but lovable families, and second-chance vibes with a fresh twist. Amy Daws will not disappoint, so grab this one when you want a fun, flirty escape that leaves you grinning at your book long after you’re done.

Absolute DELIGHT!! Loved this book 2 even more than book 1. The BANTER is top tier and Erin Mallon and Teddy Hamilton delivered big time. Their comedic timing was perfection. Even in the angry, heavier moments. Highly recommend this one.

Amy Daws has done it again! To say I was excited for this book was an understatement. Nine Month Contract was one of my unexpected favorites last year. And I’ve been dying for more of the Fletcher brothers ever since. Let me tell you Calder did not disappoint. Plus Dakota as our MFC also knocked it out of the park.

I’m going to start this with my one and only con of this book. The miscommunication/third act break up trope between Calder & Dakota made me want to pull my hair out. Y’all know this is one of my biggest pet peeves and I love Amy dearly but how it was pulled off here I have to say wasn’t a fan. It honestly felt unnecessary, both characters had been working and progressing so well with communicating about their insecurities and then randomly they do a 180. It just didn’t make sense and messed with the story flow. Thankfully it didn’t last long and both parties pulled their heads out of their butts.

Besides that this book was a blast. Seven Year Itch is a spicy enemies to lovers romance. Filled with laughter, angst and tears. I found both Calder and Dakota to be easy to read and extremely relatable. Especially Calder with dealing with feeling left behind and never taken seriously.

Calder & Dakota as a couple were magnetic. They truly are the real definition of enemies to lovers. Their arguments and disagreements were intense. But even with that push and pull dynamic they still supported each other and pushed one another out of their comfort zones. Plus my personal favorite the PowerPoints ;)

Lastly, the Amy Daws banter was phenomenal as usual. I’m glad I decided to read this at home and instead of work cause I definitely would’ve gotten some weird looks for several of this books lol moments.

Of course if you can’t already tell, I highly recommend this book and can’t wait to own my trophy copy. Thank you again to Amy Daws and Canary Street Press for the ARC. All thoughts are my own.

I listened to The Seven Year Itch. I don’t know if it was supposed to be a humorous, but I giggled all the way through it. There was a lot of smut and spice which I enjoyed, but it was so ridiculous. Honestly, the narrators made the book way better than it really is. I think this audiobook is worth listening to.

~Seven Year Itch~Mountain Men Matchmaker Book #2~ Amy Daws~

~Duet Narration~Teddy Hamilton & Erin Mallon~

🩷This audiobook was perfection!! Teddy & Erin did a phenomenal job bringing Calder & Dakota to our ears!! They both bring the best sarcastic witty banter! I laughed during this Arc read, but hearing it as an audiobook had me hunched over in tears from laughing so hard! 🩷

"This woman needs to stop blurting her intrusive thoughts out to me or I am going to have a heart attack. Why can’t she just ponder them in her own mind like the rest of us?"

🐈‍⬛️Amy knocked it out of the park once again with this spicy enemies-to-lovers rom-com!! Everleigh is back & ready to medal in her uncle Calder's love life & I'm so here for it!!

I didn't think I could love another Fletcher brother as much as I loved Wyatt but Mr. Cat Daddy Calder gave him a run for his money with this one! Good thing I'm a why choose girlie because at this point I can't choose!! Then we have our fmc Dakota she's sassy & takes crap from no one!! I connected to her so much because she doesn't think before she speaks so her intrusive thoughts just come out! She makes the perfect addition to the mountain!!

Calder & Dakota are a freaking power couple!! They are the true definition of enemies to lovers. They fought each other tooth & nail but when it came down to it they also supported each other. The spice was spicy & the banter was off the charts to the point my husband asked me if I was okay because I was laughing so hard I was in full-blown tears!! I'm excited to see what Amy has in store for us next!!

If you love rom-coms & hot mountain men this is the series for you!!🐈‍⬛️

🩷As Always Happy Reading🩷

This was my favorite book by this author, it was just my kind of story. It had my laughing out loud from the very first paragraph and it just got better and better with every page. It was so well written and had a great flow.

Calder and Dakota had so much chemistry and I loved the tension between them. The story was fun and full of banter and it just made me want Fletcher Mountain to be a real place.

Audiobook review: Listening to this story was a joy and the two narrators did a phenomenal job portraying Calder and Dakota.
