Seven Year Itch is book #2 in the Mountain Men Matchmaker series by Amy Daws. The books duet narration is by the ultimate dream team of Teddy Hamilton & Erin Mallon!! These two bring Calder Fletcher and Dakota Schaefer to life.

It’s a super fun, spicy, enemies to lovers, small town romance. There’s quirky animals, a big meddling family & a vacation romance that has these two transitioning from enemies to lovers.

And you just know deep within your soul that when a book starts off with ‘Alone and Looking to Bone!’ it will not disappoint!

𝗦𝘂𝗺𝗺𝗮𝗿𝘆: Calder Fletcher has a rugged yet misogynistic playboy reputation- he loves two things: his family, and his cat. Dakota can’t stand Calder, but she has to deal with him sometimes as her best friend is married to one of his brothers. Dakota and Calder are forced to spend the week together for his other brother’s destination wedding- and they get set on a path they would have never imagined.

𝗛𝗶𝗴𝗵𝗹𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁𝘀:
🏔️ Enemies x Lovers
🐈‍⬛ Kink Exploration
🏔️ Forced Proximity
🐈‍⬛ One Bed
🏔️ Grumpy x Sunshine
🐈‍⬛ Cat Daddy

Oh. Em. Gee. I LOVE LOVE LOVED this audiobook so freaking much. The narrators were 🤌🏻, the dual narration is the best style of narration ever. Period. I actually enjoyed the audiobook more than the ebook- and that’s rare for me who loves to eyeball 👀 read more.

This story was so fun, the banter, the sexual exploration aspect, the humor, and relationships between the brothers. And let’s not forget Milkshake the 🐈‍⬛- Dakota is someone I’d love to hang out with and grab drinks! The sass is strong with that one.

I cannot recommend this book enough. It’s book two of a intertwined trilogy. I read it as a stand alone and am chomping at the bit to read the others now.

Listen, I’m powerless against a hot, tattooed mountain man who hikes with his cat. Like, literally hikes. With. His. Cat. I AM A SUCKER. So 5 stars just for that.

This book had me at cat daddy energy and only reeled me in deeper with the forced proximity, friends with benefits, laugh-out-loud banter, and one very memorable… pocket python.

Teddy Hamilton narrating? YES PLEASE.

What you’re getting:
-A grumpy/lonely but low-key softie of a mountain man
-A second-chance(ish) romance with plenty of sexy exploration
-Forced proximity in a hotel room of tension
-Only on bed
-“I’d move mountains for you.”
-THE CAT
-Hilarious moments, heartfelt confessions, and a hero who is both rugged and ridiculously sweet

Also: Dakota was undeniably unforgettable. Love her! She is so relatable and connecting.

This one is steamy, sweet, and unexpectedly hilarious—the perfect balance of emotional depth and romcom spice.

For fans of sexy cat dads with rough exteriors, sassy cats, and mountain-sized sexual tension. Prepare to fall in love...hard.

Amy Daws’s Seven Year Itch is a fun and entertaining romance novel that perfectly blends humor and romance. Bodie, a tattooed man with a big heart, and Dakota, who’s going through divorce, are both really interesting characters. The book is a rollercoaster of emotions that had me laughing, blushing, and wanting to read more. Erin Mallon’s narration of Dakota’s strong and independent personality was spot-on, and Teddy Hamilton brought Calder to life in a way that felt real. Together, they make an amazing audio duo!

Seven Year Itch is book 2 in the Mountain Men Matchmaker series and follows middle brother Calder as he battles his attraction to sister-in-law Cozy's best friend, and the devil herself, Dakota.

Calder is the middle child of the three Fletcher brothers that live on Fletcher mountain. And we all know about middle sibling syndrome. He feels like he is the screw up in the family. Yes he made mistakes growing up, but who has not? His brothers constantly give him the grunt work for their construction company since he usually does not have plans and will get it done.

Dakota is Cozy's best friend. Cozy is married to the Fletcher oldest brother, Max, who is a successful businessman in Boulder and does not live or work with his brothers. She owns her own business making fun t-shirts and holds classes in her shop for kids and adults to design and make their own shirts and learn new techniques.

Seven years ago, Dakota hired Calder to remodel her house. That endeavor left her in tears and on a mad hunt to replace her ruined dress, three days before her wedding. She has hated him ever since. But the feeling was mutual since every time he needed a decision made about something in the house, she took forever and then would change her mind. So she became the devil in his eyes.

But even through all of that turmoil, someone is desperate to turn them in to a couple. So much so, that they decide to rewrite the profile information on Calder's dating apps. And reading what was written is hilarious.

But suddenly Calder and Dakota seem to be running in to each other at interesting times and places. The first time was a complete fluke, but sadly was not kind to him. But is there more than one person conspiring to match Calder with Dakota, or vice versa? It appears so.

When they finally get together, it is supposed to be just for one night. But what happens in the palapa, stays in the palapa. Until it no longer does.

One of the main things I really enjoyed about Dakota was her support for Calder and his furniture building. So much so that she helps him list a few items on her website and sells them for him. This is something he never thought to do, but it was his way of staying close to his dad. It was something he learned from his dad and they did together. She helped him make his love for his dad in to a business endeavor.

In addition, she listened to him about they way he felt working with his brothers and how he felt taken advantage of. She asked him thoughtful questions. And when it was necessary, she stood up to them for him.

Calder caught me off guard with some of the things he did seven years ago to the donut that Dakota married. And he never said a word. Yes, it may have hurt her to learn that he knew about some things, but when push came to shove, she found out things about Calder and his integrity in the process.

It has been a Teddy Hamilton and Erin Mallon month for me. I have listened to at least three books narrated by him and he never disappoints. Two of these books have been in duet and I love him in these. I am currently listening to my third audiobook narrated by Erin this month and again, it is a joy. I love her her voice and listening to her and Teddy in duet was such a pleasure.

I am OBSESSED with the Mountain Men series!

When I caught a glimpse of Calder and Dakota in Nine Month Contract, I knew these two would be hate f⭐️cking soon enough.

The banter and digs that these two have were top notch. It was giving modern day Darcy and Lizzy (if Mr. Darcy was a gruff yet sweet cat daddy).

When it came to the audiobook, it was wonderful and super entertaining!
Then again I just absolutely love Teddy Hamilton and how he can sound boyish but so manly and commanding. And Erin Mallon was so excellent in bringing Dakota’s assertive attitude but incorporated all the emotional turmoil that she was feeling.

I loved listening to this audiobook and I loved the story that Amy wrote that highlights that no matter what, you’re beautiful and to let no man make you feel inferior.

the most perfect, entertaining audio for my lead up to summer! Calder & Dakota are perfect together with their banter and they take take the teach me/spicy lessons to another level and i loved everything about this book.:

Another super spicy, HILARIOUS book in the Mountain Men matchmakers series that has cat daddy Calder getting stuck with Dakota - the woman who hates him but is recently divorced and wants a no-strings affair. Full of hijinks, sex-club kink, a meddling niece and well-meaning brothers. If you love enemies to lovers, small town romances and authors like Meghan Quinn and Tessa Bailey or Amy Barry's McBride brothers of Montana series, this is one you won't want to miss! It was also excellent on audio. I can't wait to read the next book in the series. Many thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for an early digital and audio copy in exchange for my honest review!

Thought upon completing this book, "Wow, that was... something. 😂" Apparently I really enjoy the hot mountain man vibe because I had to read this follow-up in the series, but I was not expecting the explicit content here despite the first book being very spicey. This one definitely comes with a reader beware. Very explicit sex "adventures" abound.
Outside of that, I really enjoyed the characters in this forced proximity, enemies to lovers. I did this as an audiobook and really enjoyed the narrators. Thank you, NetGalley and Harlequin Audio, for the ARC and opportunity to provide an honest review.

When I tell you Teddy Hamilton knocks it out of the park I mean out of the universe. From the first line to the last line I was in a literal vice grip and I could not, would not press pause…seriously listened to it in a single day it was that good. My first for the series, now I see the new book has a cover and I have book one to hunt down. Don’t sleep on this if you like enemies to lovers, badass FMC, found family, one bed, forced proximity, and so much spice; Seven Year Itch is so, so good!

Oh, and Erin Mallon, did a fabulous job too!

Thank you Harlequin Audio for the gifted ALC.

Guys, this book had me in cracking up. Every time I would start listening I did not want to stop. It was funny, while still having emotional aspects to it.

Calder was the ultimate cat daddy. I loved how he was a mountain man with a beard and tattoos, but would hard his cat around in a baby harness. Besides being a cat daddy, I do feel like Calder had a lot of character development in this book. He went from being totally against a relationship and catching feelings, to realize he may had fallen for the one woman who drives him crazy. His relationship with his brothers had me cracking up, especially with all the cat jokes.

I absolutely loved Dakota. She was such a strong, independent woman. After just going through a divorce, Dakota is trying to find herself again. I loved the fact that she knew what she wanted to try and just went for it. We definitely see her become more confident in herself. I really liked when she let Calder in and really let him get to know her. I felt like this was a point where things really started to change for the two of them. Her friendship with Trista and Cozy was so fun and cute, I’m glad she had them.

I could literally feel the tension between Calder and Dakota as I was listening. They were true enemies to lovers, disliking each other so much at the beginning. Their banter was also top tier! Of course, Everly was amazing as always playing match maker for her uncle. It was so fun seeing the whole family together for Wyatt and Trista’s wedding.

The narrators, Teddy Hamilton and Erin Malon, did such a fantastic job! Their duet narration was amazing and truly brought the characters to life. I loved getting to hear their banter as Calder and Dakota.

Overall, I would definitely recommend this audiobook. It was so fun and I enjoyed every minute of it!

3.5/5 ⭐️ Audiobook ARC Review:
Seven Year Itch by Amy Daws is easily the horniest book I’ve listened to this year and I say that with zero shame 😅 Calder and Dakota aren’t strangers, and thank goodness, because this level of heat needs a little history.
It’s book two in the Mountain Men Matchmaker series and while it works as a standalone, I’d still recommend reading Nine Month Contract first. Trust me, the chaos builds nicely.
We’ve got a cat dad, post-divorce glow up, a nosy small-town family, and enough steam to fog up your earbuds. If you want your romance with spice, sass, and a side of meddling relatives, this one’s for you.
Thank you Harlequin Trade Publishing and Net Galley for the audiobook ARC!

If you like your romance books with a heavy does of shenanigans, then this is absolutely the series & book for YOU! Especially if you want a fun summery vacation read! The first book in this series was fun but this one was even better!

Calder wanted a date to his brother's wedding but his family tampered with his dating profile so he had to show up alone. But don't fret, the resort only had one room left for him and his sister-in-law's best friend, Dakota, who he HATES. This book had me giggling, kicking my feet because it was so fun. The forced proximity of sharing a room with one bed will NEVER get old, especially not when paired with Amy Daws' signature humor.

I listened to this book on audio, which was INCREDIBLE. Teddy Hamilton and Erin Mallon brought these characters to life perfectly! They made the funny bits even funnier. And the spicy scenes? Had me fanning myself! These are two of my favorite narrators because they never fail to come through with an amazing performance! I had the best time listening to this audiobook and highly recommend!

Perfect if you love:
- hate to love
- summer / vacation romance
- small town romance
- strong family element
- silly humor

Thank you to Harlequin Audio for sending me an early copy!

Determined to hate each other, content to work together, crazy without one another.

3.5 - ⭐️⭐️⭐️.5

I liked this book better than the first one!

FMC Dakota went through relationship hell. After her divorce, confidence deflated and unsure of herself, she turns to an unorthodox way to spice her life back up. MMC Calder lives in the background of his family and brothers, doing what makes other people happy too afraid to take a chance on himself or take himself seriously.

This book is a spicy, funny book but at its core it’s about two people finding themselves in different ways, finding themselves together, and finding each other. The vibes are burly mountain man, successful woman, cat-daddy, wholesome family vibes, and spice.

Enemies to Lovers in the best way!
Calder is the ultimate middle child. While he’s secretly very talented in his passion project of making furniture & could be very successful, on the surface, he’s still the family screw up & the one that all of the grunt work gets dumped on in the family business. He’s to the point in his life where he doesn’t even take himself seriously
Dakota is fresh off of a divorce from a man who truly never deserved her. She’s fed up with finding love & just wants to find herself for who she is at her core.
With a history many don’t know about, these enemies are thrown together at the destination wedding of our favorite surrogate & her baby daddy, Trista & Wyatt. But we all know there’s a fine line between love & hate. And these two walk that line meticulously.
I loved watching Calder & Dakota navigate their enemies with benefits relationship. I loved even more seeing them slowly begin to find things in the other to form a friendship that makes for the best of love stories. And watching them both help the other in finding their true self worth was absolutely priceless.
I loved seeing many of our favorite players from previous Amy Daws books & getting a little check up on the other Fletcher men & their meddling women.

Audiobook Review:
Erin Mallon & Teddy Hamilton bring a duet narration that completely nails these two characters. The banter, bangxiety & overall feel of this book was perfectly captured in the narration.

Duet narration is always going to do it for me! I love that I got so much time with the narrators retelling their love story in my ears!

Calder and Dakota are the definition of enemies-to-lovers who are also terrified to fall in love (with anyone and especially each other). So obviously, they make a sex pact after being set up by a chronically meddlesome college freshman.

They start the story as being setup together and then they sneak around for their "temporary situationship" that is fooling no one. I love how their impromptu relationship helped them unlock and overcome insecurities. It was a joy to watch the mountain man fall for his curvy beauty and I can't wait for more from this series!

3.5 stars rounded up
Calder and Dakota have been enemies for seven years, and this book explains the reasons why. He runs into her at a club and decides it's not the right environment for her. Then comes a trip to Mexico for a wedding, and they have to share a room. They're physically attracted to each other, and they decide once they get home that Calder will help Dakota explore what she likes, since her marriage left her lacking confidence and she wants to get back out there now that her divorce is final. Then they both catch feelings but keep picking fights.
This book was spicier than others, and multiple visits to the club plus very frequent comments about it I found to be too much. I probably would rate the story higher if that has just been a one time thing, or a different location could probably have accomplished a similar result.
I listened to the audio book, and it was great - I really enjoyed both narrators.
I received an ALC in exchange for an honest review. All opinions are my own.

- Enemies to enemies with benefits
- Powerpoint for the win
- Cat daddy
- Taking back your life
- So much delicious banter

I LOVED THIS BOOK!!! While it did start out slowish, it ramped up to 100 and never slowed back down. I adore the Fletcher family. What a hilarious, close knit and temperamental group! The premise of this series is that Everly (the daughter of oldest brother Max) decides that her uncles need to find someone to lover. Thus begins her matchmaking adventures....

This is the second book in the series, and I related so much to the middle child drama that Calder felt. He tried to please everyone while setting aside what he actually wanted to do. No wonder he was a bit grumpy!

Dakota is on a journey to reawaken her passion after being in an unhappy marriage for 7 years. She and Calder see each other at an adult club - not a first meet as they have known and hated each other for years. Calder is surprised how protective he feels toward Dakota, so he offers to explore her adult interests with her.... No feelings, no relationship, just a Powerpoint proposal.

What follows is yummy banter, yummy cayenne, yummy Calder....
