I couldn't stop laughing at this book! Calder and Dakota, who can't stand each other, find themselves trapped in a destination wedding. They agree to a fling that was meant to be harmless, but it ends up causing chaos.
The best part was the narration by 𝐄𝐫𝐢𝐧 𝐌𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐨𝐧 and 𝐓𝐞𝐝𝐝𝐲 𝐇𝐚𝐦𝐢𝐥𝐭𝐨𝐧. This book perfectly captured the enemies-to-lovers trope with plenty of funny moments.
If you're in the mood for a fun and entertaining listen, you can't go wrong with any of Amy Daws' stories!

“You don’t have to like me to f*ck me.”
“Why pay a therapist when you can rent an audiobook from the library for free.”
“You can feel safe in your insecurities because there will always be someone to call you out on your sh*t.”
Amy Daws scores again with Seven Year Itch! I couldn’t stop listening. Everything is pure perfection - from the setting to the plot to literally every single character. Dakota is recently divorced, trying to find the girl she once was (which even if you’re not divorced, just trying to fall back in love with yourself is totally relatable). Calder is a freaking dream. He’s honest, protective, and the ultimate cat daddy if you will. 😂 The banter is top notch and this is enemies to lovers done right… angsty, hilarious, and sexy. I love the Mountain Men Matchmaker series so much. This is the second in the series and I like it better than the first (which was amazing). I even had a few takeaways from this book (and I don’t just mean spicy stuff, 😉). It’s so important and empowering to feel confident in your own skin. Confidence is something we can all have, grow, and get back. I listened to the audiobook and both of the narrators did a wonderful job. 🩷🩷
I would like to thank Harlequin Audio and NetGalley for giving me an ARC (which did not sway my opinions or review).

Seven Year Itch by Amy Daws
.
Enemies-to-lovers: Calder and Dakota don’t get along, so when they are forced to share a room at a destination wedding it is a rough vacation for them both. Dakota is recently divorced and looking to get back out there, yet she can’t stop admiring Calder. Calder can’t stand Dakota but also can’t stand the idea of her with another guy.
.
-Cat daddy vibes.
-The forced proximity was great.
-Calder was a comic relief character in the last book and I loved seeing him get his own story.
-I enjoyed learning more about Dakota, her back story really showed you what she had overcome.
-Dual narration for the audio and I am a super fan of it! The narrator team were excellent and did Calder and Dakota well.

4⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Of course we love all the happy endings! This book was a lot of fun. The spice is extra spicy so be advised! 🤭😉🌶️🌶️

Seven Year Itch is the second book in the Mountain Men Matchmaker series, and it's a true enemies-to-lovers romance.
Calder and Dakota have history, and not the good kind. Calder worked on Dakota's house renovation 7 years ago, and something went awry that Dakota holds Calder responsible for. Neither of them are eager to spend any time together, but they are forced to share a room at a destination wedding. Sharing space together brings some undeniable chemistry to the surface, and Dakota and Calder have to come to terms with being attracted to the enemy.
Dakota and Calder have a non-traditional relationship, but it works for them in the beginning. I identified a lot with Dakota's story and all its messiness. Calder is absolutely swoon-worthy. A man who works with his hands and loves his cat? Say less. There is a lot of banter in Seven Year Itch along with some fiery interactions. There is a third act argument that goes a bit too far for me personally, but other readers may find it perfectly in line with Calder and Dakota's prior interactions.
Thank you to Amy Daws, Harlequin Audio, and NetGalley for the audiobook! All thoughts and opinions are my own.

This book is full of so much fun, humor, love, and growth.
Calder and Dakota grew throughout the book, which was an excellent aspect of the book. They are both so vibrant and sweet! Calder's family was a huge aspect of the book, and it was incorporated well.
Overall, I loved the writing - how it was witty, but still sugary and romantic.
Tropes:
-Enemies to lovers
-Vacation romance
-Forced proximity
-Enemies with benefits
-Small town/Found family
Thank you to Harlequin Audio and NetGalley for providing me with a free e-copy of this book in exchange for my honest review.

I was approved for this book on July 10 and the archived date was changed to July 10 so I literally never had the chance to download this book. I will still be reading this at a later date so it’s okay but still. Little weird that that happened since this is the first time ever.

Overall, this book was absolutely adorable! I loved all the interactions with Milkshake—those moments had me literally laughing out loud. One thing that did frustrate me a bit was how much the characters danced around what they really needed to say. For all their communication, they managed to avoid the most important conversations, which could have moved things along so much faster. They were both strong and independent, yet somehow completely oblivious—and I won’t lie, that had me in a mini rage.
That said, I listened to the audiobook version, and Teddy’s narration made everything right in the world again. His performance was so good, I immediately went back and read the first book in the series—and loved it too. Now I’m counting down the days until the next one, because I can’t wait to see what kind of trouble the other brother gets into!
Their first “interaction” in the palapa was chef’s kiss—perfectly done and such a great setup for the spice level throughout the book. And let me tell you, the rest absolutely did not disappoint. Just the right amount of tension and heat to keep things deliciously interesting!

Teddy Hamilton. That’s it, that’s the review.
The audio for The Seven Year Itch was such a fun experience! The narrators brought so much personality to Dakota and Calder, making their banter even sharper and their tension even steamier. The performance really helped elevate the humor and emotional beats.
Dakota’s inner monologue was especially fun to listen to. The narrator nailed her sarcasm, frustration, and vulnerability so well. Calder’s voice was confident and just the right level of cocky, which fit his energy perfectly.
Thank you to NetGalley and Harlequin Audio.

I listened to the audiobook and I absolutely loved. This is such a cute enemies with benefits story. But there was some spice here as well. I loved the dialogue between the characters. This one had me giggling to myself. And the entire cast of characters was fun as well.
The audiobook was great. The narrators were top notch. But then again Teddy Hamilton is always fantastic.
I highly recommend this book. And if you get a chance to listen to the audiobook, you definitely should.

Small town
Enemies to lovers
Found family
Fantastic banter
Duet Narration - Teddy Hamilton & Erin Mallon
Book 2 Mountain Men Matchmaker Series (but can be read as a standalone)
This was such a fun listen. I loved all the banter and funny moments. The strong family bonds were great as well. I loved that the FMC was strong and sassy and the MMC was funny and sexy. Fabulous romcom highly recommend

4.5⭐️ rounded up
Enemies to lovers always means all the banter and Calder & Dakota didn’t disappoint. I also loved Calder as a Cat-Dad. He spoils Milkshake for sure (also how cute is the name Milkshake?). There’s a ton of humor in this book while is just amplified by Everly’s antics. This was my first book from the Mountain Man Matchmaker series. I’m intrigued by the rest of the series now because I want to see how much Everly meddles as the series continues. Amy’s writing is super easy to follow and I enjoyed the narration. They do a great job bringing the characters to life and Teddy Hamilton is always a good choice.
Thank you NetGalley and Harlequin Audio for the audiobook. All opinions are my own.

This was sharp, funny, and full of heart underneath all the chaos. The banter between Dakota and the grumpy mountain man is loud and messy in a way that works, especially when the tension starts to crack into something softer. The vacation setting adds some good heat, but it’s the later moments with shared trust, quiet care, and unexpected sweetness that give the story weight. If you like enemies who can’t stop pushing each other’s buttons until they fall hard, this one hits the mark.

3.5 stars for me!
I loved Calder so much however Dakota really just annoyed me so much and I don’t even know why.
Very well written. Made me laugh and swoon and just had an over all good time reading this story

This book was good fun — sort of a ridiculous premise, heavy on smut, light on plot, lots of crazy antics. Having not read the first in the series (and maybe there were other interconnected books/characters before that?) I did feel like I was missing out on some context and references throughout. Mostly, I struggled because I don’t think the MMC and FMC made a good supportive couple that would stay together. They were really cruel to each other in fights, and that made me feel like they aren’t a good fit. If you’re looking for a hot romp, this is a great choice. If you’re looking for a good romance, this may not be the fit.

Erin Mallon and Teddy Hamilton return for another Duet narration of Amy Daws Mountain Man Matchmaker series! Starting off strong with 2 well knows narrator to give this highly hilarious story a read. The way Teddy can lend his voice to Calder and it be exactly how i imagined him speaking while reading always amazes me, really brought the character to life. Erin’s way of reading lines is so funny it really gives light to Dakota’s quirkiness. Overall these 2 pair up so well to make the story come to life in my mind, like a mini movie.
Amy Daws hilarious funny in her newest romance book featuring the return of Clade and Dakota, Cozy's bestie from previous novel, Last on the List!
Enemies to lovers with all the banter! Forced proximity, second chance romance and delicious kinky spice to tie it all up, thank you I'll have some more!
Never yuck someone's yum!
Thank you NetGalley for my advanced readers copy, and audio!

I listened to the audiobook version of this story and I found it funny and entertaining. I loved the witty banter, smexual tension, and the undeniable chemistry between Calder and Dakota. Nothing like a good enemies to lovers and some good old hate smex to make the day better. I love the family interactions and of course Everly and her nonsense. The narration by Teddy Hamilton and Erin Mallon was awesome. I love how they brought these characters to life, full of humor and chemistry.

4.5 Stars
Pretty sure it would be quite an experience to be in this author's imagination for a while. What she puts into her books is pure romantic comedy goodness and over the top hysterical. The opening sequence of this book (and the first book of the series for that matter) had me cackling out loud... literally. I mean, what on Earth did I listen to, but please give me more. How the narrators were able to bring this story to life without breaking character is impressive. This was a true enemies-to-lovers romance, not one of those secret deep down I always loved you romances. The animosity was there, which made the slow burn extra delicious. As the backstory was revealed and the feelings began to simmer, it made the payoff all the more satisfying.

I LOVED this audio book! Teddys voice does things right! The book was beautifully written and I fell in love with the book and the characters! I couldn’t stop listening to the book! I’m gonna go buy the book !

For the past seven years, Calder and Dakota have had a rocky past that would qualify them as more of enemies than lovers, but after being set up by Calder’s niece they are forced to room together during his brother wedding. In the scenic comfort of their shared palapa, they are forced to interact but as time passes their relationship becomes less hateful and, suddenly, Calder finds himself accepting Dakota’s proposition to be her wingman. So what happens when their time together is coming to an end and Calder realizes the woman he used to hate now means more to him than he expected.
This is the perfect book for those who enjoy a small town enemies to lovers story. There were many funny and entertaining moments in this book, especially with Calder’s meddling family. I liked reading about their relationship and how it progressed, and truly appreciated the sex positivity theme included throughout the book. I loved the fact that Calder was a cat dad and took Milkshake out on walks. I enjoyed listening to the narrators and found they were perfect for their characters. Two things I disliked about the book was Calder’s point of view, which I found to be cringy and unattractive at times, and the fact that their banter was sometime a bit too childish. Overall though the book was fun and entertaining.
Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for the audiobook arc.

A hate-to-love romance between a loud-mouth mountain man and a recently-divorced small business owner who is unafraid to speak her mind. Calder just wants a casual plus-one for his brother’s wedding in Mexico, and instead ends up sharing a bungalow with Dakota, who has hated Calder for the last seven years. Dakota is processing all the emotions after her divorce, and she is ready to explore the world around her. In other words, she wants a rebound while in Mexico, and Calder is more than willing to participate! What happens in paradise stays in paradise right? What happens when these two former enemies can’t stop thinking about each other, even if half of those thoughts are still sinister?
Another great duet narration performance from Teddy Hamilton and Erin Mallon, this book is funny and spicy, a little ridiculous, perhaps not overly memorable, but still a fun time! Suspend reality for a while and get lost in the rom-com of it all, these two have their first reunion at a sex club where the interaction goes from awkward to more awkward, so that should tell you all you need to know about the humor of the story! I love that Dakota is working through her emotions, identity, and relationships after her divorce. This woman felt realistic and relatable, and I’d love to be in her circle of friends. I haven’t read any other books from Amy Daws (yet) but I am already invested in the Fletcher family and their antics.
Thank you, NetGalley and Harlequin Audio for the chance to read and review this audiobook!
