Amy Daws is my new favorite romance writer! This series, Mountain Men Matchmaker, is probably my favorite romance series so far.
I received a copy of this audiobook via NetGalley and had already checked it out on Hoopla! This was a must read for me and I was not disappointed. I could not put this one down. I think I'll be moving to Thatcher Mountain myself 🤣.
If you are looking for a grumpy mountain man series definitely read this series! It is full of strong independent women who happen to stumble upon their HEA!
The narration was perfection!

This book had me laughing and giggling my feet. I loved the banter! The narrators did a fantastic job!

This was a fun follow up to “Nine Month Contract”! I love interconnected stand alones, it’s always nice to sort of know the characters before jumping into a new book!
I found this one just as witty and funny as the first, a perfect guilty pleasure sort of summer read. The audiobook narration was so good, duet narration can either make or break a book, and this one was so well done and engaging and easy to listen to. Definitely enhanced the experience quality of the book and I would suggest the audiobook version to anyone wanting to read this one!
It was very predictable, but that’s kind of what you are looking for with romances like this. Something not too heavy, or with too much conflict, and you know it’s all going to work out in the end pretty much from the first chapter.
Thank you to NetGalley and Harlequin Audio for providing me with an audiobook. All opinions are my own.

Thank you to NetGalley and Harlequin Audio for the opportunity to listen to Seven Year Itch by Amy Daws!
This was such a fun, lighthearted listen that had me laughing out loud more than once. Calder is your classic broody mountain man (a family trait, it seems), while Dakota is a total BAMF business owner trying to find herself again after a rough marriage and divorce. Naturally, sparks fly when these two collide—whether it’s at a sex club, on a chaotic family vacation, or while trying to navigate their tangled web of mutual friends and family.
There’s a great balance of humor, heat, and heart in this book. I loved how both characters brought their own emotional baggage to the table but still managed to have genuinely tender and vulnerable moments amid the chaos. Things do get complicated when secrets come to light, but the emotional payoff is worth it.
My only minor gripe? I found myself getting a bit frustrated with Dakota at times. She kept leaning into her assumptions about Calder rather than seeing the man who was right in front of her. That said, the miscommunication didn’t drag on forever or get overly dramatic, which I appreciated.
And I must give a shoutout to Teddy Hamilton—his narration is always top-tier, and any book he voices instantly earns a spot on my TBR.
All in all, a solid 4-star read that I’d definitely recommend to friends who enjoy small-town romance, broody heroes, and a touch of chaos.

This was super fun! The audiobook was top tier narration perfection (I had a few small gripes with the same tone at the end of every sentence from the female narrator) and Teddy Hamilton is just one of the best. The story itself was a fun ride--I did read this one as standalone with no issues. The book had me laughing out loud multiple times. Some of the comments made were a little immature, but I think I'm just getting too old to not have issues with childish behavior in adults. Perfect setup for the next book in the series too!
Many thanks to Harlequin audio, Amy Daws, and Netgalley for an audiobook in exchange for an honest review!

I requested this audiobook and was approved on July 10th. This was the same day that the book was archived (July 10th), even though the listing said the book would be archived on August 12th. Now I have to go find this audiobook elsewhere (hopefully my library has it to check out?). I don't understand why the publisher would give people less than 24 hours to download a book.

So, our hero, who just wanted a chill plus-one for his brother's destination wedding, ends up with his dating profile completely sabotaged by his "helpful" family. Poor guy is stuck in paradise with only his hand for company. Been there, buddy, been there. But then! He's forced to share a room with the bane of his existence: his sister-in-law's best friend, Dakota.
Dakota, apparently, has been actively hating him for the past seven years. And honestly, our hero wasn't too bothered because she was "some other guy's problem"... until she got divorced. Dun dun dunnnn.
Being stuck in paradise with someone who loathes your very existence doesn't exactly scream "hot romance," right? But after an "unexpected moment" in their shared palapa (oooooh, tell me more!), things take a delightful turn, and Dakota starts "screaming" at him in a different way. You know the way! 😉
Of course, what happens in paradise is supposed to stay in paradise. But then Dakota shows up on his mountain with a proposition: be her wingman to help her regain her pre-divorce confidence. And suddenly, the woman he loves to fight with becomes the woman he wants everything with. Cue the happy dance!
Now, for the audio experience! Teddy Hamilton and Erin Mallon are a fantastic duo. Teddy brings that perfect blend of exasperated charm to our hero, and Erin nails Dakota's fiery, feisty spirit. Their narration absolutely amplifies the witty banter and the simmering tension between these two. You can really feel their push and pull through their performances.
While I thoroughly enjoyed the journey and the narrators were spot on, there were just a few tiny moments where I wished for a little more depth or perhaps a slightly different pacing. But truly, if you're looking for a fun, enemies-to-lovers story with plenty of laughs and some seriously steamy moments, then The Seven Year Itch is definitely worth a listen!

I gave a 2.5 stars but rounded up.

I really enjoyed the banter between the two main characters! Don't let the cute cover fool you cause this book is SPICY!! Unfortunately, in my opinion it was longer than it needed to be and I would've enjoyed the story more if there had been a little more plot and less spice. Although I am never opposed to alllll the spice, I just felt the story needed more development. The narrators were absolutely amazing and I'd give them a 4 stars!!
Thank you NetGalley, the author and Harlequin Audio for an advanced listeners copy in exchange for a review.

The story was alright, it just didn't grip me and hold my attention a lot. Supposed to be an ennemies to lovers but he's secretly always liked her? Like come on, if you're promising ennemies to lovers, I want you to deliver.
The MMC was adorable carrying his cat around I have to admit although that would be a red flag for me hahaha!
The main characters kind of got together first on a destination wedding, were forced to share a room and ended up thirsting for each other. Back in town, they develop this arrangement and she gets to explore her sexuality because (obviously) her ex is an ass and told her she wasn't good in bed and had gained weight.
I did not read the first book so I can't attest to how it compares with it, but overall I think this is a 3,5 stars for me. A good enough read that was just missing something to capture my attention a little more.

This book is everything I’ve come to adore from her—witty banter, sizzling chemistry, and heartfelt emotion that sneaks up and smacks you right in the feels. The characters are beautifully flawed and relatable, and their journey had me laughing, swooning, and even tearing up at times. Amy’s storytelling is top tier, and Seven Year Itch just might be her best yet. Can’t recommend it enough! 💕📚

Calder and Dakota took enemies to lovers and said “Watch this.” It was so fun to see their story unfold and just how much history there is between the two of them. Everly and her continuing need to play matchmaker has been such a delight, even if her uncles don’t think so.
Teddy Hamilton and Erin Mallon both did so fantastic with the narration and really found a groove with Calder and Dakota. I may be biased as I’m forever a Teddy fan but Calder was a fun one to listen to for sure.

I ended up getting approved on netgalley for a copy After I read the book. enjoyed the story between Calder and Dakota the banter OMG I love some verbal sparring. I did want to see more cat scenes but what we got was good. Parts of the story is cringy, but it's hilarious Teddy Hamilton made it even better I the only way to read this book is with an it makes the story 10x better.

I liked this!! I loved the dynamic between Calder and Dakota. I loved how she chose herself post divorce. I loved how he helped her out of her shell. They were SO good together.

🎧 4 Stars for Seven Year Itch by Amy Daws
🎙 Narrated by Teddy Hamilton & Erin Mallon
💌 Thank you to Amy Daws, NetGalley, and Harlequin Audio for the ALC!
Enemies with benefits? Check.
A post-divorce glow-up with a dash of emotional chaos? Check.
A mountain man who builds furniture, cuddles cats, and catches feelings after direct eye contact? Triple check.
Amy Daws delivers another hilariously unhinged rom-com in Seven Year Itch, and the audio? Chef’s kiss. Teddy Hamilton and Erin Mallon absolutely own this story. Their chemistry is fire, the comedic timing is razor sharp, and the tension? Palpable.
Let’s talk Teddy. The man. The growl. The grumpiest, softest cat dad Calder could ever ask for. Teddy brings every bit of this emotionally constipated yet painfully lovable mountain man to life. Whether he’s muttering about Dakota’s “screaming rants” or melting into a full-blown simp, he’s perfection in audio form. A rugged vocal lumberjack dream. His narration of the pool volleyball scene was Oscar-worthy.
And Erin Mallon? She is Dakota. Sarcastic, chaotic, vulnerable, and oh-so-relatable. Erin nails the balance between strength and sensitivity, bringing depth to Dakota’s post-divorce journey. Her narration shines brightest in the sharp banter and those steamier scenes that’ll have you kicking your feet and giggling into your earbuds.
🎧 Audio Highlights:
Duet narration (yes, please)
Impeccable comedic timing
Calder’s ridiculous Tinder bio = iconic (Everly FTW!)
Spice that crackles 🔥
A swoony redemption arc for the ages
🪵 Tropes You’ll Love:

Mid-size, post-divorce FMC rediscovering her worth
This ALC had me laughing, blushing, and fully invested. Amy Daws does rom-com spice like no one else, and this audio duo? Dream team status unlocked. If you're into steamy, sassy, emotionally satisfying stories with elite-level narration, Seven Year Itch needs to be your next listen.

This steamy and sassy banter-filled audiobook was performed by Erin Mallon and Teddy Hamilton, two favorites, and, well, they became Calder and Dakota.
What more could I ask for? It was so. Much. Fun!
Calder and Dakota really dislike each other. Which is why, when they go to Mexico for his brother’s wedding, them staying in the same room can prove… disastrous.
They argue. They banter. They… flirt, but more than anything, they show the connection between them and their insane chemistry. It's undeniable. And their one night together is perfect. But what happens in Mexico doesn't always stay there, especially when they can’t stop thinking about it and wanting more.
Erin's voice was perfect for Dakota's sass while giving us a show of her confidence and her strength but also her vulnerability. And Teddy… The warmth of his voice made for the perfect Calder: the mountain man who is grumpy but also sweet, sexy but also vulnerable in his own way. And the best cat daddy! (Extra points for that, of course!)
After her disastrous marriage, Dakota is ready to find the confidence she’s lost. What better way to do that than with someone who’s already proven to be… skilled? With that in mind, they work out a list of things to experience together. The way they trust each other with their bodies raised the hotness level. Amy Daws knows how to write those scenes, but hearing it? Oh, that was something else.
And when those pesky feelings start to interfere? I was a goner. Erin and Teddy pulled me in. I was kicking my feet, rooting for them, wanting them together. Because they’re pretty much meant to be.
Let's not forget the family dynamics. I love his brothers, and I always love the found family vibes!
I also loved the message of the book and all the emotion that came through in both narrators' voices. How they showcased a woman regaining her self-confidence and feeling free to be herself with a man who finally realizes he’s worth so much more than everyone else thinks he is.
I absolutely recommend this audiobook!

I received an advance audio copy from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.
So TBH I should have done a little homework ahead of time to know that this was book #2 in the series. This particular story line and author has quite the spice and she is not shy about it - throwing it right out there with a sex club in chapter one. I stuck right with it and wanted to see where things headed. I took the book for what it was and, while I can definitely appreciate chemistry, burly mountain men and a damn good powerpoint, I am not sure that this storyline was quite up my alley. 3 stars.

UM TELL ME WHAT'S IN THIS AUDIOBOOK - I literally just BINGED Book 1 and 2 after being approved. These are so fun and spicy. I love these characters and their complexities. Also, the cast of characters is so good, and I'm fully invested. I loved Wyatt and Trisha, but think I loved Calder and Dakota even more!
Amy does a great job of being cheeky without being cheesy. Also, the narration on the audiobooks is 10/10. Can't wait to book 3.

I jumped into this one immediately after finishing the first book which I absolutely loved and I was a little unsure about how I was feeling at the beginning, BUT they won me over as the book went on. The miscommunication trope is always highly frustrating to me, so that was my least favorite part in this one.
I just absolutely love all the shenanigans that this family get up to when they are together and how different the brothers are individually. One of my favorite characters is Everly. I love that she is the true mastermind behind setting up all her uncles.
Definitely a fun and spicy read that I enjoyed.

Teddy Hamilton can usually make any audiobook good, but unfortunately, I hated the female narrator. The tone of her voice sounded like she was pouting every time she talked. This made me really end up disliking the character in general. I liked the conflict of the main character that forced them into the shared room, but I really couldn’t get over how whiney the FMC was and I couldn’t finish it.

Stop what you are doing right now and download this book!
Also, if you are an audiobook listener, download that too because HOT DIGGITY DOG this is a fun time. I was laughing out loud just from the prologue and it didn't stop. The banter between these two and the meddling family members is just perfect.
Calder and Dakota are true enemies who meet by chance at a sex club and from there are forced into close quarters while at their friends destination wedding (ehhem, it's Wyatt and Trista from Nine Month Contract). The tension builds and they end up sleeping together. No awkwardness between the two but one thing leads to another and they come to an enemies with benefits situation to allow Dakota to explore more of her sexuality before diving head first back to the smex club.
