I love a nosey parker book and this is as good as the others in the series. Jodie and Nathan and the team always stumble along working their way through suspects and read herrings and this was no different. Its panto season at Penstowen and all of the ladies of the Parker family are involved in the production in one way or another.
Its alladin until midway through it a murder happens.
It was great to catch up with all the gang and i love the charachter progression, friendship and he twinkly seaside charm. Thank you netgalley for this arc in exchange of an honest review.

It's panto season in the Cornish town of Penstowan, and excitement is building. Caterer Jodie Parker has managed to avoid performing but is surrounded by sausage rolls and nibbles as she prepares the first night party food. Surprised at how good everyone is, Jodie and new husband, DCI Nathan Withers, are in the audience when disaster strikes, the body of one of the Penstowan Players is discovered backstage, and the laughter stops as a murder investigation begins. With no obvious clues or suspects, Jodie and Nathan have to unwillingly consider their friends could be involved; it's clear the run up to Christmas just got very tricky. As the festivities get ever closer, can either of them discover the truth before goodwill to all disappears, and they're on no one's Christmas card list?

I was able to read an advanced copy of this thanks to NetGalley and the publishers, Harper Collins UK, One More Chapter, but the opinions expressed are my own. I love this series. It's one that can regularly have me laughing aloud and enjoying every word. Married to a proud Cornish man and been involved in panto productions when my children were small, this was an absolute joy to read, and I was sorry when it ended. I read it in a day, and it is absolutely highly recommended.

The Cornish Christmas Pantomime Murder by Fiona Leitch is book 9 in the Nosey Parker series. It is published on 31 October. Thank you to One More Chapter and Netgalley for the early copy of this cozy mystery. The whole Parker family is involved in the Aladdin pantomime, although Jodie is catering the Opening Night feast for the performers. The food talk through the book is enough to make you hungry. All going along smoothly and hilariously until the young woman playing Princess Jasmine finds a body. Half the town are appearing in the pantomime, so when a body is found, there are lots of suspects. Love the humour in this. In fact, this whole series is a pleasure to read. The interaction of the characters gives rise to plenty of laughs. It’s wonderful to get immersed in the characters’ lives again. They are so family-oriented that you are drawn into their lives very easily. I love how Jodie can’t help herself and must stick her nose into the investigation, hence her nickname. She is an ex-Met detective married to Nathan, the local DCI, and is very good at getting people to talk. I enjoyed the introduction with the history of pantomimes too. A great read and a great addition to the series.
