🌹Thank you RB Media and @NetGalley for the opportunity to review Silverleaf Rapids by @jodithomasauthor.
🐴 This was my FIRST journey into the land of Cowboy Romance & I LOVED IT!! This book explores 3 separate romances with one person in each couple having a POV. Explores pushing away from the expectations of others and finding our own voices and life paths.
🌹 Julia Gibson did a fantastic job narrating and this book had my attention throughout. Expect a little cheesiness like “kin”, “Granny”, “pretty lady” and some traditional gender roles - but this is balanced by a female football coach, a highly educated professional woman and more.
🐴 I have seen ads for Ransom Canyon on Netflix, but I’m not much for TV - now, I need to read the whole series and can’t wait to watch! (My country music loving, cowboy boot wearing 19 y/o daughter reports she’s already watched the series twice).
📆 Mark your calendars to scoop this one up on Tuesday when it drops!

Wild hearts leave their mark on the soul. SilverLeaf Rapids is a tale of captivating spirits, heartbreaking, disappointment and enduring romance. Thomas celebrates family legacy with a haunting flair that embraces emotions and tempts the senses. Irresistible wraps the soul within it's warm embrace and refuses to let go.

A sweet cowboy romance following three separate but interconnected characters and their relationships. It reads like a hallmark movie.

**Review of *Silverleaf Rapids* by Jodi Thomas, narrated by Julia Gibson**
**Rating: ★★★★★**
*Silverleaf Rapids* is a beautifully crafted prequel that sets the tone for what promises to be a heartwarming series. We’re introduced to a compelling trio of characters: a 19-year-old who steps up to lead the family ranch after his grandfather’s stroke; a city-born schoolteacher seeking adventure and a fresh start; and the youngest daughter of a large family, yearning for more than a quiet life as her mother’s companion.
Jodi Thomas weaves their stories with tenderness and depth, exploring themes of love, family, belonging, and friendship. Each character’s journey is layered with emotion and hope, making this a touching and engaging read. Julia Gibson’s narration adds warmth and nuance, enhancing the listening experience.
A lovely beginning to the series—gentle, thoughtful, and full of heart.
*Thank you to NetGalley for the ARC in exchange for an honest review.*

I got this as an Arc!

I really liked how it followed Staten when he was younger and how he got the ranch! I wasn’t a big fan of Amalah and how she treated Staten but it is what it is. Everyone has different reactions to things! But I loved all the stories and lived the ending as there was characters in danger!
I lived Penny’s character grow throughout the book she was extremely shy and always doing stuff for everyone else and then she met her cowboy! He was exactly what she needed!
Thank you NetGalley! Very similar to Yellowstone but alittle less tense, without the Beth.

For coming out this month, this reads like an old school paperback novel. The nostalgia vibe was kind of fun to enjoy.
I haven't read any of the books in the Ransom Canyon series yet, and so I am curious to see what the importance of these three couples will be in the coming series books, if any.
I was intrigued and pulled in by the "Virgin River meets Yellowstone" hook as I love the VR book series and the show Yellowstone became an obsession of mine. This book directly did not fit that comparison. There wasn't much I could see in relation to Yellowstone minus the story taking place on a ranch with family history. That feels to vague for a direct tie. I'm hoping the other books give a grittier vibe that Yellowstone is known for.

I selected and requested this ARC from NetGalley because it was advertised to be similar to the Chestnut Springs series - it’s not. This was a wholesome cowboy family story about a ranch and the moving characters. There’s nothing wrong with the story but it wasn’t what I expected and didn’t meet my expectations.
you follow 4 characters and their journey of love and loss and growth. However, the audio is all done by one narrator. While the narrator (Julia Gibson) does a good job with different voices, it’s lacking if you enjoy duet or full cast narrations.
If you are looking for a wholesome, clean cowboy/ranch drama, this is it. If you’re looking for something similar to steamy cowboy romances - this is not it.

Thank you NetGalley and RB Media for the audio ARC!
