It was a cozy little monster romance book. Quick read and cut, but I don’t think this is my type of monster romance. Her fiance/ex was such a good guy but also shallow it was a bit hard to root for the MMC and the FMC. Overall a cute concept and would be a great winter read!

definitely interesting. i didn't realize that she was going to stay with her fiance for so long, but i guess it makes sense to be reluctant to give up your whole life. i really liked seeing a peek into the townspeople. oliver was such a grump but i just adored him. i feel like this would be a nice fall, halloween read.

When Luna gets stuck in Alaska during the middle of a snow storm, she makes due in monster town - Claw Haven. Oliver, the werewolf innkeeper, is reluctant to take her in as a guest. He becomes even more reluctant when they accidentally share a magical potion and become werewolf married. Now they’re stuck together, at least for a while.

Things I liked: Luna’s personal growth, watching her stand up for herself towards her family and take ownership for the hard work she does was beautiful. The Musgrove family- they are adorable. I need more of the Musgrove Family.

Things that I wasn’t a fan of: This is just a me thing but reading a werewolf book and the FMC is named Luna, especially if she’s getting on with the alpha. I appreciated the communication between Luna and her fiance, but I still didn’t like the whole “you can do what you want with others as long as you come home with me”. Again, this is just a personal preference. I appreciated the communication between them but it still felt icky.

Tropes:
Grumpy vs. Sunshine
Monster Romance
Forced Proximity
Knotting

This was a great book that felt just like watching a romantic comedy movie. It was absurd, but it made perfect sense at the same time. It was funny, cute, and cozy, and it kept me wanting to read more and more.

It had many unexpected twists and turns. You get to see a little bit of each character, and I know there's more to come in future books. However, I especially loved it when Luna stood up for herself, showing what an incredible person she is, and when Oliver rediscovered himself. The emotional moments were so good, and the spicy scenes were super cute.

I can't wait to read more books from Taylor!

This was a fun monster romance story! I loved the small town feel and all of the supernatural creatures we encounter. I also found the grumpy sunshine dynamic between the main characters to be quite enjoyable.

This was definitely one of those books where you just kind of go along for the ride as you read. There are some elements that could have been explained more, but I was able to easily overlook these things because of the fun vibes.

Read this if you like:
🐺 Small town
🐺 Grumpy/sunshine
🐺 Forced proximity
🐺 Bonded mates
🐺 Accidental marriage

If you are looking for a lighthearted, cozy read consider picking this one up.

Thank you @netgalley and @harelquinbooks for the gifted copy of the book.

This is such a quirky rom-com that will keep you reading, if not reason other than to see if the FMC gets any better. When Luna finds herself in Claw Haven, she doesn't expect to end up with a fiance! The book was okay but not a favorite.

Thank you to Harlequin Romance and Isabelle Taylor’s team for letting me read this amazing! First, this book gave me warm and cozy vibes from the beginning and it was read as easily as watching a rom-com movie. And I BINGE rom-com movies and I BINGE read this book! SPOILERS!!!!!!!! I love Oliver and Luna’s relationship. Oliver is a grump of a werewolf who is supposed to be taking the mantle of alpha from his grandmother but, she keeps prolonging the passing of it. Oliver and his family own an Inn in Claw Haven and that’s where our FMC accidentally runs her car ( due to snow because hello this takes place in beautiful Alaska) into his dilapidated Inn sign. And thus starts their journey, also they drink a bonding wine that couples drink when they’re wedded and accidentally end up bonded but this story is beautiful! I highly recommend it!! And I’m already waiting for the next books in the series!

4.5⭐️ Luna Stack, while on a business trip for her father, gets stranded in Claw Haven, Alaska during a snowstorm. She finds her way to an inn owned and operated by Oliver Musgrove, a werewolf. Unbeknownst to her, there's a party going on and Oliver left a bottle of presumed alcohol behind and Luna decides to have a drink. Neither knew it was a bonding tonic so in wereworld they are now married.

This book has the grumpy-sunshine, close proximity, small town tropes, with some spice thrown in. I usually skip through the spicy part of books, but the spice has a twist to it that I haven't seen before.

There's a tonic to unbond Luna and Oliver, but they are out of it and have to wait till the snow thaws to climb the mountain to get it. Luna is engaged, so she needs this to happen before her wedding date. She has an open relationship with Hector which I found to be strange and uncomfortable when she feels the need to tell everyone about it. It's impossible to hate Hector though and maybe he'll make a reappearance later on.

This book is a quick read and I'm looking forward to reading more books in the Claw Haven series about the charming residents of this town.

Thanks to the author, publisher, and NetGalley for an ARC of this book.

Ever since reading Ali Hazelwood’s “Bride” I have been on the hunt for werewolf romance. So when I saw “Accidentally Wedded to a werewolf” by Isabelle Taylor I knew it was for me. Because even thought this is a supernatural romance it’s not a fantasy romance which I for some reason can’t get through. This book still has the conventional romance books steps. Enemies to Lovers, it’s just one of the two is a werewolf. Grumpy MMC but he’s a werewolf. Forced wife but the FMC is only “werewolf married” to the MMC. This is a cozy supernatural romance. However the FMC name being Luna, was slightly cringe to me.

I liked the premise of this one and love shifter romances, so was happy to receive an ARC. I guess I (naively) thought the fiance question would be resolved prior to any romantic/sexual entanglements between the main duo. Except not so much. Instead, the FMC and her fiance have an open relationship, that is alluded to almost during sex with the MMC. Nope. Add on to that the FMC's utter spoiled unlikeability and I had little interest in finishing this book.

Thank you to NetGalley for a complimentary copy of this book. These opinions are my own.

This was a super cute book and a fantastic story to read if you’re looking for something to cleanse your palate in between super heavy reads. It very much reminds me of a Hallmark movie if they decided to branch out specifically into “cozy monster romance” with spice (but not gratuitous explicit spice). We have a large cast of characters - with 99% of them being the monster citizens of Claw Haven - and our few human characters - most notably, Luna, our MFC. Luna is presented as an airheaded L.A. rich girl heiress but she’s much more than that. Unfortunately we don’t really delve too deep below the surface with her throughout the book. We do follow her character’s growth along the way and watch as Luna (and others) realize she’s much more than the party girl she presents herself as. I think If this had been a longer book the author probably could have fleshed the characters out a bit - maybe delved deeper into their backstories- We do learn more about our surly MMC, Oliver than Luna. Maybe because he has a more tragic backstory. Watching the accidental bond storyline play out between them is so frustrating but in the best way possible because we can clearly see they’re perfect for each other but Oliver is so stubborn and Luna lives in a totally different world than the rest of us. Props to the author for the creative way of getting around the whole “would this be cheating” thing. I can honestly say I have never read a book where THAT scenario was the answer. It was sort of refreshing to see the other man not in a villainous light. He just wasn’t right for Luna. I definitely hope to see more books from Claw Haven pop up in the future!

Thanks to NetGalley for the ARC!

Accidentally Wedded to A Werewolf ARC from NetGalley 5⭐️
This was my first Isabelle Taylor book, but 100% won’t be my last!!! I freaking loved this book, the story, the spice, it was just so fun. It was the perfect cozy, spicy, monster romance. The story follows Luna, our confident and outgoing queen who makes quite the arrival to Claw Haven’s one and only inn. Ollie, is our gruff and standoffish innkeeper, who is quick to dislike and even quicker to distrust. Some magical mishaps later and they’re unhappily married and bonded 😂😂😂 this book cracked me up, there were so many silly parts and I loved how different Ollie’s family was compared to Luna. Of course, Ollie and Luna can’t get along but their attraction and chemistry is 🥵 I loved the character development and how they grew together, and the ending had me screaming it was soooo good. Most definitely check out Accidentally Wedded To A Werewolf, it’s perfect for the upcoming spooky season too 😍 thank you to Isabelle Taylor and NetGalley for the chance to ARC, can’t wait for more stories from Claw Haven!! 🩷

This was so cute! I loved how Luna found herself in Claw Haven. She wanted to have purpose and her whole family was basically telling her to just be happy and do nothing, be this fun loving person with no responsibilities. But that’s a sad way to live because what do you really have to show for it? Nothing that’s what! So her pushing to make Claw Haven this tourist town so that others can fall in love with cozy monster towns was so adorable. Also Oliver being grumpy and then finding his other a half was heart melting. It was so clear that she would be the one to fix all that had hurt him in the past.

This was definitely different and mostly in a good way but a 3.5 star read for me. You have Luna, an heiress who wants to do more than just be known as the life of the party; she's secretly been doing it in her father's company without his knowledge. Her family just brushes her off so she plays a part, she is naturally bubble headed and spoiled, normally I'm not a fan of that but it actually worked here. She was genuinely nice and not at all mean which made her likeable. Oliver had been hurt before with disastrous consequences and has a huge chip on his shoulder, Luna bulldozes her way into his and the town's lives while she's stuck in town with her own wedding impending when she gets bonded to Oliver on accident. She makes the best of things and gets the whole town behind her in her ideas. Her relationship with her fiancé is an open one which made this different since there's no slow burn to intimacy, they get the green light right away and both take advantage of it. The spice and a lot of other scenes started out detailed and then were glossed over, I wish we had more of Luna and Oliver actually bonding. With their bond connection they kept the doors shut except for intimacy and I respect that they were doing the best with what they could without being intrusive but it felt like we were missing out and being teased with feelings close to it but not breaking that boundary. There were a few scenes where we were just told things happened instead of shown. I wish Luna had come to her realization a little bit sooner because their reunion was incredible short and abrupt and then it goes to one year later. Even that was too short and mostly focused on other things instead of Oliver and Luna so it just felt like it all was tied up too quickly and then just done. The concept and plot were good and the characters were well fleshed out but over all it just felt like pieces were missing to really get to enjoy the full story that was planned out.

This book in theory was great, the execution not my cup of tea. Didn't love the snotty FMC or the fact that the two boned within the first couple chapters of the book. If you like silly, easy books with spice and hardly any love story you'll enjoy this book. I couldn't finish it personally.

I don't know what this says about me as a person but I was expecting more spice than this book had.
While I love a good small town book, I thought this could have had better world/town building, especially given the limited spice factor.

The dialogue was okay but I found this book lacking.

although a cute premise I found the chemistry between the love interests forced and unrealistic. similar pairing as in tessa bailey's book It happened one summer. the story was problematic at best and I couldn't seem to care about anything about this story. just not my cup of tea.....

"No? What do I smell like?" / "Mine," he murmured.

Spoiled heiress Luna Stack is on her way to see her fiancé when her car breaks down, leaving her stranded in snowy Claw Haven, a cozy town full of monsters living the quiet life.

Review: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Spice: 🌶️🌶️

Destined for a warm and tropical vacation, heiress Luna finds herself stranded in cold and cozy Claw Haven, a safe place for monsters. Stuck staying at a run-down motel, a quick drink to dull her sorrows leads to her getting accidently married to Oliver - the gruff and closed-off owner of the inn.

I thought this was so fun! Luna and Oliver are total opposites, and see them thrown together by force (as their bond causes pain if they wander too far) made for such an entertaining read. The first chunk of the book has Luna grating on his nerves with how spoiled she is, though he is combative as well, as well as haunted with guilt from a past traumatic experience with his pack. They way they start to find common ground as they are stuck together, along with the smallest hints of reluctance and wondering as they look for the divorce flower needed to break their bond, had the pages flying by.

Seeing the town welcome Luna was such a sweet moment, and the way she helps so freely as the story goes on warmed my heart. She has such a great character growth throughout their story, but it was hard to connect with her in the beginning, with how spoiled she was.. The bond was a really cool way to keep Luna and Oliver close, and I also loved the way it made their connections Very Interesting! I would have loved more world-building with the monsters/shifters in this world - definitely interested in reading more about the town through the novellas!

A final note - something that may give pause to other readers is that Luna is engaged the whole time to her fiancé Hector - but with how he and their relationship is written (they have an Understanding, Hector is very carefree and isn't worried about her being there alone, etc.) it was not something that took away from the story for me - I enjoyed the added layer to the drama and their relationships and the contrast it created between Luna/Hector and Luna/Oliver.

✨🐺 Small-town monster mayhem meets accidental matrimony! Luna didn’t plan to marry a werewolf in a remote Alaskan town, but a sip of the wrong potion and a grumpy hotel owner later… here we are. Quirky, cozy, and a little silly, this one is for readers who like their paranormal romance with laughs, steam, and lovable side characters.

📚 Author Review
Isabelle Taylor’s was new to me and her writing delivers a playful, feel-good paranormal romance with a unique setting—Clawhaven, a cozy Alaskan town for supernatural creatures. Her mix of humor and small-town charm keeps the tone light, even when the relationship complications pile up.

🐺 Book Review
When Luna accidentally drinks a ritual marriage potion, she finds herself magically bonded to Oliver, the gruff werewolf owner of his family’s hotel—despite still being engaged to her human fiancé. Stuck in town due to the bond, Luna has to navigate the quirky politics of a monster community, her growing attraction to Oliver, and the open-relationship awkwardness that follows.

I’ll admit, Luna was a lot in the beginning, but her growth throughout the story was satisfying. The grumpy x sunshine dynamic worked well, the side characters were warm and fun, and the small-town monster vibes were charming and different. The pacing and event setup could have been a bit stronger, but overall, it’s an easy, cozy paranormal romance for when you want something light and amusing.

💭 Overall Thoughts
A silly, low-stakes, shifter romcom with a unique Alaskan monster town setting. Perfect for readers who enjoy quirky humor, a dash of steam, and lighthearted paranormal hijinks.

This was cute if predictable. The main female character, Luna wasn’t very likeable in the beginning but I did like the other characters and the setting of a town for monsters in a remote part of Alaska was different. This book grew on me and I wound up enjoying it more than I expected.
