I really am a fan of the time loop when it is done correctly. Erin has totally nailed it. I loved the concept that the whole town was also experiencing this outside of the two main characters! At the start of the book, I was nervous whether I would end up liking the characters, but I loved them and enjoyed how their relationship blossomed. I think they needed and found each other when it mattered. I overall enjoyed the book, it was an easy read. I wish there was more explanation into the significance or meaning of why they were in the loop and why it occurred at that particular moment for them; especially when the science of the time loop, eclipse, and wormholes were a prominent portion of the story.

I loooove a book with a time loop story! The thing with this one is that I was more into all the eclipse and science stuff than the actual romance - i didn’t feel the connection between them other than friendship. But, like I was saying before, I love how creative all the time loop issue was! I have never read something like it, with everyone in town being part of the the loop, absolutely loved that.

This book was so good! I love the characters and the plot line! I would absolutely recommend this book!

A rom-com time loop story - with a twist that instead of one or two characters knowing they are repeating the same day, the entire town is aware they are stuck in a loop - which leads to a pretty crazy backdrop.

Despite getting off on the wrong foot, Adam and Carly decide to work together to try and break the time loop, and the book goes in a surprisingly science-y direction, considering most Groundhog Day-esque stories, especially the original film, just wave it away.

The story comes to rather an abrupt ending, but overall it was a fun twist on several premises, even if the grief metaphors were a bit hammered on.

Cute story and I loved the banter between the characters! The pacing felt a bit slow to me at times, but I really enjoyed the story overall and would highly recommend it.

It's no secret that I love @erinlarosalit's romances which are always funny, touching and steamy!

🌙 Small town romance
🌕 Time loop
🌙 Forced closeness
🌕 They hate each other
🌙 Open door smut

In 🌔NOT YOU AGAIN🌖 the small town of Julian, California, Carly and Adam find themselves thrust unwillingly into a time loop. They'll work together to figure out why their town is affected and how to get out of the loop. Is it an unlikely phenomenon or fate?

🔍 I loved investigating alongside Carly and Adam, who are equally vulnerable, touching and funny, but not as different as you might think. They discover each other over the pages, between chance encounters and zany events, a rather peculiar but successful

🌑🌑 And as always in Erin's novels, sweet romance tackles much deeper subjects. Here, grief in various forms is tackled. Family bereavement, love bereavement, friendship bereavement, how do you pick yourself up and make the best of it

There were fun moments and some banter I enjoyed, but overall it didn’t hit as hard as I hoped. The pacing dragged a little for me, and I had a hard time fully connecting with the characters. Still, it had a few sweet, funny beats that made it worth finishing.

You had me at TIME LOOP!! I’ve read more than my fair share of time-loop stories and would classify myself as an expert and this one felt fresh, clever, and heartfelt. The twist of the entire town being stuck in the loop and aware of it was such a fun spin that opened the door to chaos, humor, and quirky side characters.

Carly and Adam start out prickly with each other, both reliving the worst day of their lives over and over: her father’s funeral and his ex-wife’s confession that she cheated with his best friend. Their banter is sharp, their approaches to solving the mystery (magical theorizing vs. scientific deduction) are totally at odds, and watching them slowly shift from reluctant allies to something more was so satisfying.

I also loved how La Rosa balanced the sci-fi mystery with emotional depth. Bonus points for nerdy eclipse details and the way the loop tests not just their patience, but their perspectives.

Reliving the day of your fathers funeral over and over again is exhausting and Carly is determined to find a way to break the cycle. She finds a kindered spirit in Adam who wants out for very different reasons. He’s stuck at a job he dislikes and starts everyday off with breaking up with his cheating ex-fiancé. In trying to find a way out they also find their way to each other.

I often find books with an element of time travel and or time loops can be difficult to read but Erin La Rosa does it differently. The storyline flows extremely well and it isn’t repetitive in any way.

Adam and Carly work thru some difficult times throughout the book and they handle it extremely well considering the circumstances. It makes their love story all the sweeter.

I highly recommend this one and if you haven’t already you have time to read The backtrack before this one’s out on November 11th.

As always I truly love a time loop/magical realism story and can never turn them down, ever. Not You Again really surprised me and had so much more of science integrated in the plot and I really enjoyed that. The other thing that was really different than anything else I’ve ever read was that the ENTIRE town was stuck in the time loop together. It made for such a refreshingly unique story. Adam and Carly were great together once they decided to open up to each other and work together to figure out what was happening. That said, the ending was a bit strange for me and kinda just dropped off. It was a a solid fun read and if you’re not looking for anything super serious, this one could be a good time!

Imagine Groundhog Day, but in the small town of Julian, everyone knows they’re stuck repeating the same day. For Adam and Carly, that day is pure misery: Carly keeps reliving her father’s funeral, and Adam has to go through the moment his wife admits she’s been cheating on him with his best friend. Eventually, they decide to team up and see if they can break the loop.

Compared to other time-loop stories I’ve read, this one leaned more into science to explain what was going on. I liked the idea, but I also found it a bit confusing. Honestly, I struggled to get into it at first—the repetition made it hard for me to stay interested, even though the whole premise is about living the same day over and over. The sections where they tested theories about the loop didn’t grab me much (probably just not my thing).
I also didn’t totally buy the “enemies” part of the romance. Carly seemed to judge Adam harshly for how he treated his ex-wife—even though she was the one who betrayed him. If I had to hear that confession on repeat for hundreds of days, I’d be grumpy too. Once they started understanding each other better, their dynamic improved, but I still didn’t really feel much spark between them.
What I did enjoy was how both characters’ family relationships played into the story. Adam has a strained history with his parents that he’s avoided facing, while Carly never got closure with her dad before he died. I liked seeing Carly help Adam reconnect with his family while also finding her own kind of peace with her father.

What I’ve loved about Erin’s books are how grounded in reality they are even if they’re dealing with mystical and fantastical elements. Carly and Adam were sweet and I loved watching them get to know each other on their endless bad day. I also learned a lot about time loops and wormholes which was fun to nerd out with.

Overall, I had a really great time reading this book. It brought me to tears as Carly processed her grief and the loss of her dad, but I also really loved her growth during the loops. It was also great to have both main characters realize they needed to grow and have character development. Sometimes it feels one sided in novels, so I appreciated that Erin made both of them have to face their choices in life and make changes.

Thank you to Erin La Rosa and NetGalley for an arc of Not You Again! I loved the Groundhog’s Day/time loop premise and though the science fiction aspect of the book was clever and well done. The eclipse tie in was a nice touch and gave the mystery a mystic element. I was super intrigued!

The romance had the perfect slow-burn pace, and when the spice hit, it sizzled 🌶️ The only downside was the ending left me a little unsatisfied. There were a few plot lines that could have used more resolution. but overall, recommend to anyone who loves romance mixed with a little sci-fi and a whole lot of heart!

STOP this was so stinkin cute!!! I've only ever read one other book by Erin La Rosa and it was set in a library so of course I loved it. At first I thought this was just going to be your average cutesy romance (absolutely nothing wrong with that), but the whole groundhog day thing was super interesting and really well done. I also really loved that it happened on the eclipse day, and that Adam was a mini nerd and trying to figure out those little waves in an eclipse. Having also experienced that curiosity, I also felt like a little Adam; I too would spend 200+ days trying to find a reason. Most people only experience a major solar eclipse once or twice in their lifetime, so to do it every day for almost a year would be SO cool.

The character and relationship development was so cute, it was the perfect amount of slow burn and realization of each other's feelings. When the spice was finally introduced it was well written. I sometimes find with romance books that authors just try to be super detailed and as crass as possible to add that extra oomph but this one was good!

There are a few questions I have after the ending though. Where the heck did Shireen and Adam go? It was never actually explained, only a few theories, and same with the end of the loops. Was it really the aliens? Was it linked to Adam and Carly's relationship? Maybe even just Carly's grief over the loss of her father? Too many loose ends for me to give an absolute 5 star.

I think this would be an AMAZING movie, and if ever one was to be made I'd get release day tickets for sure. Now that my Erin La Rosa reads are both great experiences, I'm definitely going to keep her on my radar and look forward to what else she comes out with. Thank you so much for this ARC!!

The characters in this book were cool and they were well developed. However, at times, the story line was a little bit confusing and I found myself wondering just how the author was going to solve the problem.

Sadly not for me. I am a huge time-loop fan, and hated how this was executed. Chapter 1: Day 0 of loop. Chapter 2: Over 200 days later?? It wasn't until the book was over a third of the way done, maybe more, before we find out the basics of how the loop works. I applaud the ambition of a whole town in a loop, but that felt like the only draw, and it failed to pull me in.

The romance was fine, if a little meh.

This is my second time being lukewarm on Erin La Rosa so I guess I'm done.

I like a good time loop book, but this one didn’t capture my attention like I hoped it would. I enjoyed the characters, but the romance didn’t give me butterflies.

Thanks as always to NetGalley for the ARC.

Erin, you did it again! I’m obsessed with this book and I love the ideas that you come up with. I’m so excited to see what’s up your sleeve next.

Carly is visiting the small town of Julian for her father’s funeral, and ends up reliving April 22nd over and over again.

The whole town of Julian is aware of this happening and some members of the town try to figure out what is happening and if there’s a way to fix it.

Adam and Carly work together to find out what’s going on in this small town of Julian. From there, Adam and Carly get to know each other and the rest you absolutely need to read.

This book is like Ground Hog Day mixed with enemies to lovers. I loved the banter, Apple and everything else in between! This is a great read for those who love enemies to lovers with a bit of nerdiness.

I devoured this book like it was cheese. If you know, you know 😂

Thank you to Harper Collins, NetGalley & Erin La Rosa for the ARC. This book comes out November 11th so make sure to preorder yourself a copy because this is must read!

Carly was in town for her father's funeral, which no one attended. Carly felt badly about their last encounter. Adam was the funeral director. He had just found out his wife was fooling around with his best friend. Neither Carly nor Adam was in the right mind to get along. When the time loops began, Adam was determined to find out how they could get back to their normal lives. During the scientific and psychology testing, Carly and Adam found they had a lot in common, and their personalities made them each a better person. I enjoyed their romantic relationship and getting to know Adam and Carly's background, but the time loops seemed too many and I got bogged down in the science. Someone who enjoys scientific data would enjoy the testing done by Carly and Adam.

I received this ARC in exchange for my honest review.

This was a fun read but I also get stuck in the repeating day stories so I'm undecided.
