This series is going so well! Absolutely love the dynamics of these two characters. Their relationship is growing and the story is ahhh getting so good… poor shenpei is gonna have some competition in the next volume 👀 *inserts new love interest*
Thank you NetGalley and viz media for the arc!

I've followed this manga since the first volume came out, and this is not a disappointment! I can't wait until the next one comes out. It is such a slow burn! It's very cute, rewarding, the art style is fantastic, and there is depth to the characters. They continue to grow (together, even). You won't regret picking this one up. :)

This is truly becoming a must read series for me! Each volume gets better and better, and truly never misses. Absolutely a must read!

While reading this volume, I was struck by how strong and compelling the characters have been the whole time. The drama and intrigue allow them to show a range of thoughts and reactions to the circumstances around them . Whether or not Satoko and Shinpei are in love-love doesn't really matter to me, but wow, do they need and or care about each other to the point of risking their own lives, and I'm here for it! Oh hi, character we haven't seen since the first volume! Surely your presence won't complicate things at all in volume 4!

Volume 3 of Firefly Wedding features some great character development. We've got Satoko fighting back against bullying in this volume. Living with imminent death certainly makes one fearless, and she's becoming an even more perfect match for Shinpei. Shinpei's devotion is tested and he passes with flying colors, but not without causing Satoko a great deal of worry. They're both not right in the head and are far too ready to die without regrets, which makes them perfect for each other. The volume ends with a new face, and I am certain this new character will spell trouble for our lovebirds.

I'm really loving this series. I really think it is something special. Both of the main characters are so interesting and so different from anything I've read in the Josei genre. I've already completely caught up with the series on my own time.
Thank you Netgalley and publisher for the arc!

A girl who dreams of marrying a nobleman finds herself stuck with an assassin... the very same assassin who was meant to kill her but instead she offers him marriage and he agrees... can she find a way to break their engagement without losing her life. Picking up where the last book left off Satoko and Shinpei are trying to escape the island they're stuck on all the while deadlier people are coming after them... and the more time they spend together the more Satoko is beginning to fall for Shinpei... but can they live to see another day when Shinpei is wounded? I love this series so much and I need the next book immediately. It's so cute seeing Satoko falling for Shinpei and how both of them are just slowly falling for each other. It's such a heartwarming read and I just want them to be happy PLEASE. Like enough with the HORRORS LET ME BABIES BE HAPPY. So yes, I would highly recommend this series haha.

And the pull on my heartstrings are back with this volume!
The heart to heart on the boat, the caring and nursing back to health and the fact that they are both falling so hard. - one knowing more than the other, just both so clueless. MY HEART!
Much more happened in this volume with character chemistry and dynamic of who they both are/how different they are.
