Two Perfect Couples by Renita D'Silva and narrated by Melissa Advani was an interesting and gripping psychological thriller to listen to, I was gripped from the very beginning especially as it had lots of good twists and turns from the very first chapter to the Big twist at the end. When two couples and their family go on a much needed holiday everything is going well and there are a lot of smiles all around.

Then one night one of their children goes missing. . . . Their perfect holiday and world around then crashes in front of their very eyes! Where or who has taken the child! He was fast A sleep one minute and gone the next!!!!

Will the local Police find their child before it maybe too late!!!

I loved the way the chapters were short which was brilliant, Bothe families are hiding Just a few secrets from each other and they are slowly bubbling to the surface. . . . The narrator Melissa Advani was excellent and bought this book alive.

A solid psychological thriller, with clever twists. I found the tension of the lost little boy who disappeared during a holiday went on a bit long, but during his absence we learned the back stories of the members of The two Perfect Couples, who were comprised off very flawed individuals. My main complaint is standard in this type of psychological thriller, there is no one you can admire, relate to or even anyone very likable.

However, Two Perfect Couples will keep you on your toes as you attempt to unravel and navigate all the misdirections in the story.

One of my biggest fears as a mom is my child going missing. This book starts out with two couples on vacation, and when one mom checks on her kids, her son is missing. There’re secrets involved and overall, I was in suspense the entire time. I really enjoyed the plot twists, and I would absolutely read this book again.

Everyone likes to think they're the perfect couple...in reality do they even exist?

I loved The Neighbours when I read it so I kinda knew what to expect from D'Silva's writing.

There's a great cast of characters. I couldn't trust any of them. They were all good in suspicion and doubts...unreliable narrators at their best!

It's told from multiple POV which is always a win for me - I like to hear both sides of the story as it were - then the guessing game begins, AND I still managed to get it wrong!

The pace is fast, emotions run high and tensions are fraught.

Unputdownable.

The chapters were short and the story was very easy to read. There are many secrets and many twists embedded into the story. There was mounting tension as you read each chapter. There is definitely potential for a sequel. Quite the psychological thriller. Give it a try. A 4 star rating.

Secrets.. that was probably the craziest part of this book.
The secrets among the adults and how that changed the atmosphere were my favorite part of this book.
Two Perfect Couples is a book about two families who go on vacation and then end up amid a tragedy - a child who goes missing.
Jo & Yash, along with Paul & Lydia, are enjoying and overindulging at the resort when they go to check on the children, and one of them is missing.
So many things happen during the primary plot (or what I considered the primary plot) - finding Jo & Yash's missing son being the main storyline. However, there is so much more to the plot. We see infidelity, secrets, and lies among the adult friends. Everything starts to come to light once the police are involved and are assisting in looking for the boy.
There are also time jumps during the story. It gets wilder as the story progresses.
The plot was fairly well written, and the pace felt right for the book.
The characters were fairly developed, but I didn't find them particularly engaging.
If you want a kidnapping thriller, give this book a try!

Whoa — talk about a parent’s worst nightmare. 😱

Two couples are vacationing together when one pair returns late one evening to check on the kids. They’ve been left in the care of the other couple’s 14-year-old daughter… but when Mom tiptoes in to peek at her three sleeping children, her heart stops cold. One of the beds is empty. Her baby. Her youngest. Her only son. And the one who might not be her husband’s biologically.

As panic sets in, it’s clear she’s not the only one holding a massive secret — and the more the night unravels, the more it seems everyone has something to hide.

This FOUR STAR read gripped me from the very first chapter and never let go. As a parent, I had to know — would they find the child? How long would it take? And, maybe most chilling of all, how on earth did he disappear in the first place?

This was my first time reading Renita D’Silva, and it definitely won’t be my last! Not only did I devour the book, but I also listened to the audiobook, narrated by Melissa Advani. I’m an obsessive audiobook listener and know many narrators by voice alone — but this was my first time hearing Advani. Just like the story itself, her performance was immersive, enthralling, and delightfully chilling. I’ll be keeping an eye out for more of her work!

This book had a handful of nail-biting moments that kept me glued to the page, and I appreciated the tension they created. Unfortunately, the pacing between those scenes lag for me, and some plot points didn’t land as strongly. In the end, it was an enjoyable read, but one I’d rate at three stars overall.

Sipping thoughts: You know the books where none of the characters have any redeeming qualities, but yet it adds to the suspense and eagerness to read? Well, this is one of those books. It is always hard to read about a missing child, but it is also very intriguing. I felt bad for the sisters of missing Ajit as their whole family and friend circles were full of liars, backstabbers, and deplorable people. This book kept me interested, and I was surprised at the epilogue.

Two Perfect Couples is a slow burn thriller with lots of drama and red herrings. The characters are all delightfully unlikeable and the premise of having a child go missing on a family vacation was terrifying. The suspense was strong throughout despite my assumptions being correct on the identify of the kidnapper. The path to get to this revelation was a wild ride. The ending leaves you with a mini cliffhanger, which I love.

I had such high hopes for this one but unfortunately it fell flat. It was repetitive. I like to be hooked from the very start and this book didn't do that. I found it easy to put down and find something else to do.

I started reading this book and Jo was so frantic about her missing son, so I was reading the book frantically. Her energy rubbed off on me, her worry, her anxiety, every emotion she was feeling I was feeling. It made reading the book that much better.

Then we move on to all the secrets that are revealed. They kept coming and coming! And oh that ending! It was absolutely amazing! I do not have any spoilers in my reviews, so I won’t give anything away, but it is one great ending!

This really is a must read book for anyone who enjoys thrillers. There were times where I couldn’t catch my breath because of the tension that was felt from the characters. The chapters were short, and the writing is easy to read. It flows really nicely. So what are you waiting for, get your hands on this book!

What an absolutely intense read, which I totally enjoyed from the very beginning.. I won’t say too much more, except, add this one to your TBR!!!

I felt almost as crazy as Jo reading this, what’s real?! Jo’s personality was a little too much for me but I did enjoy reading this one. The ending was a big twist for sure.

Two couples along with all of their kids head out on a much needed holiday together. It starts out perfect. The kids are having a great time in the water and both couples are beginning to relax and unwind. Then one night, the adults have a dinner on the beach, just outside of their cottage, with their children all sound asleep, and Lydia & Paul's fourteen-year-old daughter is babysitting. When Jo goes inside to check on the little ones, she discovers her five-year-old son Ajit missing, and his window is wide open. As Jo searches frantically and finds no trace of him, they have no choice but to call the police. As the investigation begins, secrets come out, and the friendships and marriages get strained to the breaking point

I really enjoyed this author's previous book, but this one fell a little flat for me. None of the four adults were likeable, and they all felt one-dimensional. I did have an inkling about who was responsible for his disappearace, but you don't find out for sure until right at the ery end. All throughout the book are articles posted online about Ajit's disappearance, with comments from readers below. That did lend a very auhentic touch to the story, especially with how nasty the comments got. Overall, this is a solid 3 out of 5.

The story is a time slip jumping from before Ajit goes missing to the present. Jo also receives strange texts and has scary things happen around her. Is it real or is someone messing with her?

OMG!!! SHUT THE FRONT DOOR!!! WHAT HAVE I JUST READ!?!?!? Renita D'Silva you lady are an absolute psychological thriller writing legend!!!

Do not start this book until you have cleared your schedules as you will not be able to put it down!! The characters were all realistic and strong and I was completely invested in them throughout. Jade's evocative descriptions really makes them jump out of the book and come to life in front of the readers eyes. I was completely invested in each and every one of the characters who I enjoyed getting to know more about throughout the pages. Each of the characters all played their own roles perfectly and they all had their own unique and individual personalities with their own flaws, quirks, strengths and weaknesses. They were all multi layered with complex personalities which definitely made them all the more interesting to read about!!! Renita had me questioning each and every one of them at one point or another! Unfortunately, I really can not say anymore as I don't want to spoil it for future readers. Regardless of what I thought about who, each character worked perfectly to make this page turning psychological thriller!!! I just cannot wait to see what characters this amazing author comes up with next!!! I am also hoping to see what these characters get up to next!! I genuinely loved getting to know all the characters and was completely invested throughout!! It just goes to show how fantastic Renita's writing skills are as she completely brought them all to life for me. An absolutely fantastic selection of unique, and flawed characters that all worked together perfectly to create an absolutely chilling, gripping and addictive page turner!!! Two Perfect Couples by Renita D’Silva was an intriguing domestic thriller. When two couples go on vacation together, what happens is so unexpected and alarming, no one saw it coming. Jo, Yash, Lydia and Paul and their children go to India expecting relaxation and fun. Instead, during a night they are enjoying drinking on the beach, they are taking turns checking on the kids at night when they discover one of the kids are missing.

Jo and Lydia are best friends and the couple are close but once the mystery starts, which happens from chapter 1, be prepared for secrets, lies, betrayal and surprising twists and turns. We see things start to fall apart quickly as we are untangling more than just a missing child, but also what is happening between the two couples and friends. I am very interested in reading more from this author in the future.

Two Perfect Couples starts off strong with an intriguing premise and the tension quickly builds. D'Silva does a great job capturing the emotional turmoil and the unraveling of relationships as secrets are shared. The middle of the book is where things really slow down and some characters feel a bit underdeveloped which made it hard for me to stay fully invested. The ending was good, a little predictable but I inhale thrillers like oxygen so I'm pretty well versed when it comes to them! Overall, Two Perfect Couples is a decent read with some moments of suspense but it didn't quite hit the mark for me. If you like slow burn domestic dramas, this one might be for you!
