Is anyone tired of the female main character acting hysterical, being told she is crazy and told to go back on her medication? I am. And it is the reason I did not enjoy this psychological thriller.

This was my first book by Renita D’Silva. It did not live up to the hype of the description.

I received this galley from NetGalley.

This is beautifully written, emotionally honest story that explores love, secrets, and what it really means to be “perfect” together. I was completely drawn into the lives of both couples—flawed, relatable, and deeply human.

D’Silva’s writing is lyrical, the characters feel real, and the emotional depth is striking. While the middle slowed slightly, the ending was powerful and heartfelt. A thoughtful, moving read that stays with you. Highly recommended for fans of emotionally rich relationship dramas.

When I started this book, I couldn't understand how the title related, but now, OMG. This was hands down one of the best written thrillers I've read this year. Every new discovery dropped at the perfect time in the story. The plot could not have been paced better. I think one of the markers of a good suspense novel is when the surprises are not so surprising that it's ludicrous, but more like "yea, now looking back I can see all the connections." This author does that in the best way and reading this book was an absolute treat. The setting and description of Goa was so vivid that I really felt like I was there. She also portrayed the challenges of motherhood and postpartum in such an honest, believable way. 10/10 Looking forward to more of her work.

Review will also be posted to GoodReads closer to publication day.

In the beginning of this book, I wasn’t sure if I really would enjoy this book. Until, it started to pick up the pace and things really got interesting. I really enjoyed it. Thank you for giving me a chance on being an ARC reader.

This was a brilliant intense edge of your seat reading, I certainly didn’t see that ending. Two couples are on holiday in Goa with their children when the small boy goes missing. The unraveling of all the lies begin. There is a lot of them. It’s gripping, read it in one sitting and can’t fault it. A thrilling 5 star read. Thanks to Netgalley and the publishers for a copy.

Two Perfect Couples had a premise that immediately grabbed me—two families vacationing at a secluded beach resort, only for their peaceful escape to spiral into chaos when a child goes missing. The setup promised secrets, tension, and emotional unraveling, tapping into every parent’s worst nightmare.

While the book explores interesting themes like fractured relationships, long-held grudges, and buried truths, the pacing was too slow for my taste. I found it hard to connect with the characters—none of the adults were particularly likable or relatable—which made it difficult to fully invest in the story. The multiple timelines added some depth, and there are a few twists along the way, but I kept waiting for the story to truly take off.
It does gain momentum toward the end, but overall, it didn’t quite deliver the suspense or emotional impact I was hoping for. A solid concept with potential, but the execution left me wanting more. If you enjoy slow-burn domestic dramas with layered secrets, this might still appeal to you.

Thank you to the author, NetGalley and Bookouture for an advance copy of this book for review consideration. I am voluntarily leaving this review which is my honest, unbiased opinion.

I LOVED THIS BOOK!

Two Perfect Couples is a masterfully crafted psychological thriller that hooked me from the very first page and kept my heart racing right through to the explosive conclusion. Renita D'Silva expertly blends suspense, complex characters, and a web of secrets that make this novel utterly unputdownable.

The story centers around two seemingly perfect couples whose lives become dangerously intertwined by deception, lies, and hidden agendas. The author excels in creating a chilling atmosphere where no one is quite what they seem. As the narrative unfolds, layers of secrets peel back, revealing motivations and betrayals that kept me guessing and second-guessing every character’s true intentions.

What really stood out to me was how deeply the characters are developed. Each couple is portrayed with authenticity—their flaws, fears, and desires making them feel real and relatable, which only amplifies the tension. I found myself emotionally invested in their struggles, rooting for some, while suspecting others, right until the very end.

D’Silva’s pacing is flawless—she knows exactly when to ramp up the tension and when to let the story breathe. The dialogue is sharp, and the writing crisp, with vivid scenes that pulled me right into the heart of the drama. The balance between psychological intrigue and domestic suspense was handled with finesse, making the book appealing both to fans of thrillers and those who enjoy a deep dive into relationship dynamics.

The twist toward the end was genuinely shocking yet perfectly earned, leaving me both satisfied and amazed. It’s rare to find a thriller that surprises while still feeling believable, but Two Perfect Couples achieves this with ease.

Moreover, the themes explored—trust, betrayal, the facades people maintain, and the lengths individuals go to protect their secrets—add meaningful depth to the story. It’s not just a thrilling read but also a thought-provoking one.

In summary, Two Perfect Couples by Renita D'Silva is a gripping psychological thriller filled with suspense, compelling characters, and a twist that will leave readers breathless. It’s a must-read for anyone who loves a smart, intense, and emotionally charged page-turner. I’m awarding it a full 5 stars and can’t wait to see what Renita D'Silva writes next.

Lifelong friends travel to Goa for an exotic holiday but when 5 year old Ajit goes missing, accusations and recriminations start to fly as the couples turn on each other. The friendship is tested during these trying times. Will things ever be the same.
This was a quick and easy read, none of the adults are particularly endearing which adds to the storyline as you're left wondering who to trust and what's happening. There were a few twists at the end which surprised me

This one has a slow start but eventually gains momentum. I really loved the concept and thought the plot had a lot of potential, but I struggled to connect with the writing style. The pacing felt a little slow, and at times the story dragged. That said, I kept reading because I genuinely wanted to see how it all unfolded. I’m glad I stuck with it because it definitely picks up toward the end. The final chapters had me hooked, and the ending left me thinking, hmm…

Two Perfect Couples by Renita DeSilva, When Joe, Sash, Lydia and Paul go to India it is a trip of a lifetime. One night while on the beach drinking they’re taking turns checking on their children and also have Lydia‘s 15 year-old daughter watching them but when Joe goes to check on them, her son Ijet is missing. Joe is beside herself with wory her only son is missing but when she finds out who took him, it will be a catastrophic event and will throw everything Joe came to trust and believe in as an adult married woman into question. I found this book a tad bit slow but ultimately I really enjoyed it it is a slow burn mystery but not much longer than most other really good books. If you love thrillers then you will like this book just know Joe is made out to be over anxious questions herself and that did get on my nerves a tad bit but overall it was a really good read. I do want to say when someone takes a confidence and uses it as a ammunition later on when you’re no longer friends to me that is such a big betrayal because clearly you trusted them and now they’re using it against you and they have that in this book and it just made me cringe it really is a great mystery and I loved when Joe was at the train station at the end that almost made me tear up so yes definitely recommend this book. #NetGalley, #TheBlindReviewer, #MyHonestReview, #RenitaDeSilva, #TwoPerfectCouples,

4 stars ⭐⭐⭐⭐ – Twisty, scandalous, and totally addictive!

I just finished Two Perfect Couples by Renita D’Silva (thank you so much to @renita & @bookouture for the ARC 🙏), and let me tell you: if you’re a fan of Freida McFadden, clear your calendar for August 7th—because you need to read this book.

The suspense kicks in right from chapter one and never lets up. We’ve got drama, affairs, a completely chaotic fortune teller, threatening messages & a missing child .

This story is like going to a dinner party where everyone’s pretending to be perfect but secretly plotting murder—or at least emotional destruction. It’s tense, fast-paced, and full of gasp-worthy twists.

Highly recommend if you like your domestic thrillers and total emotional chaos.

Unfortunately this was not my favorite book. I really liked the premise and found the kids engaging. I did not care for the adults though and maybe that was done intentionally. The ending did surprise me and left me fairly satisfied. Thank you to Netgalley and Bookouture for this ARC!

Thank you Net Galley for an ARC of this book!

Two Perfect Couples has everything I should love in a thriller…in theory. The plot and setting are very interesting and unique, though the set up was slow I did really enjoy it.

I found the dialogue to be extremely repetitive and immature for the situation. It was really just the main character going in circles asking herself questions and actively working against the investigation to find her missing child. An unreliable narrator can be interesting, but this one was just not bright.

The motives also seemed really questionable to me and I’m not sure how these two couples were even friends. They don’t seem to like each other at all, why are they on holiday together?

Great story idea, but execution was a bit off for me. If you want a slower burn thriller with twisty character dynamics, you’ll enjoy this!

Two Perfect Couples is a brilliantly crafted psychological thriller that peels back the facade of perfection to reveal a dark and gripping tale of secrets and betrayal. The author weaves a story with complex characters and a twist so unexpected. Taut, tense, and utterly compelling—this is domestic suspense at its finest.

One night on their longed-for vacation, Yash and Jo’s son disappears from his bed while they are on the beach. In the search, secrets are revealed and the past becomes the present.

I enjoyed this, but there were several character elements that didn’t line up. We never saw Lydia and Jo interact as friends, so the fractures that start to appear don’t seem shocking, for instance.

Thanks to the publisher and NetGalley for the arc!

I was immediately drawn in by the title and cover. But it was the story that really kept me interested. It's about two families, who are best friends, going on a dream beach vacation to a foreign country—what could go wrong? Jo is an exhausted mom who's struggling a bit with her mental health. When her son goes missing during the trip, she has a hard time determining what is real and who she can trust. As they look for her son, the lies and secrets of both couples slowly unravel, each being a bit more shocking than the last!

Thank you, NetGalley, for the advanced copy.

I LOVED this one!!! I got another ARC from NetGalley and this has been the best one so far! These couples are sooooooo messy! I don’t want to give away any spoilers but I couldn’t put this one down and kept questioning every main character. I thought I had it figured out but was surprised in the end which is tough for me to find because I read a lot of thrillers.
