Two seemingly "perfect" couples who are also best friends go on vacation for a once in a lifetime adventure. But for one family, their little boy goes missing. There is much drama with a tight and tense story that slowly unfolds.

Many thanks to NetGalley and Bookouture for this ARC!

Y’ALL. This book had me sweating like a liar in church. 👀

A dreamy beach vacay with your bestie turns into full-blown chaos when a child vanishes and secrets start bubbling up like beachside sangria. 😱

Renita D’Silva delivers a twisty, emotional domestic thriller that feels—from the salty air to the gut-punch panic. It’s not just about a missing kid; it’s about the lies we keep for love, the masks we wear for family, and how fast everything can shatter.

I devoured it like gossip at a BBQ. Lydia? Half hug-worthy, half sketchy AF.

Knocked off a star for a few tidy wraps—but the drama? Chef’s kiss.

Read it. But maybe keep one eye on your friends. 👀

The review below is already on Goodreads and will be posted on Amazon as well.

I went into this book being hopeful that it would capture my attention. Unfortunately it did not in the beginning; however, once the storyline kept going I wanted to know how it ended and when it picked up speed I could not put it down. For me, this book was alright; I am happy I read it and the story was good but it was slow. I did feel for the characters but I had a hard time deciding what else I felt while reading it. It was emotional and tense but had some good twists.

How delightfully deceitful is this plot!!
Two perfectly imperfect couples are Yasha and Jo and Paul and Lydia.
I quickly figured out a big part of the plot because after reading hundreds of these types of books I’m pretty discerning.
However, the author threw in a few curves I didn’t see coming.
I can guarantee these people will never go on vacation again together!!

This book was absolutely full to the brim of twists and turns! Every moment a new twist, secret or character was discovered, a whole story unravelled! It had everything you wanted from a psychological thriller, quite fast paced and full of mystery and suspicion. My one critique was that I found it a little bit "waffle-y" in parts, and felt some chunks could have just been taken out and made no difference to the story. That being said, it was still a brilliantly tense story with some shady characters and whiplash inducing twists!

I know that I will always have a fantastic storyline from this author. It is based on secrets an lies that no one wants to come out. When it does the fire hits the pan. Fantastic ending with a twist I didn't expect.

Two Perfect Couples by Renita D'Silva was a gripping psychological thriller.
The suspense was intriguing and the story kept my attention.
This was an engaging story filled with interesting characters and a fast-paced plot.
A can't-put-it-down read, full of both tense and jaw dropping moments.

WoW! What a great read! Chapters are short, easily read and are timeline identified- each adding a piece to the puzzle and growing the intrigue. I thoroughly enjoyed the twists of Two Perfect Couples and did not foresee the ending. Renita D’Silva is a new author for me; I look forward to discovering other titles by her.
Thank You to NetGalley, Bookouture, and Renita D’Silva for the opportunity to read and really enjoy this ARC.

The premise of this one sounds intriguing-two best friend couples and their children take a dream vacation to India and all they want is a perfect getaway at their beach resort but it all grows awry when one of their children goes missing in the middle of the night without a trace. There are secrets and lies between them that threaten to come to the surface as they try to find their child.
The shifting relationships between the couples kept me engaged when the plot started to drag. I did enjoy the way it wrapped up and there were a few plot twists along the way that kept things moving along. The story also goes back in time from years to days before the trip as well as news articles and podcasts that show what people think about the situation once the story breaks worldwide.
This has a Madeleine McCann vibe until the ending so if you’re looking for a slow burn popcorn thriller, this is the one for you.

Thanks to Bookouture and NetGalley for this eArc in exchange for my review.

This fast paced thriller had everything from kidnapping and affairs to grudges and a lot of twists throughout. My only negative was I guessed the twist/ending quite early on, otherwise it was a fast paced read that was hard to put down.

Jo and best friend Lydia go on holiday together a long with their families. When they have dinner one evening they leave their kids with a babysitter but when going to check on them Jo is plunged into a nightmare where her son’s bed is empty and the window wide open. As the police investigate, Jo is desperately fighting to get her son back but also scared that her secrets will be discovered.

The premise of this one sounded like there would be plenty of mystery involved and I was drawn in by the cover. The plot was laid out well and I enjoyed setting, as well as the different time lines. The characters were well written, however I didn’t feel that I formed a connection with them.

I feel that having read quite a few missing children thrillers, this one didn’t really offer anything unique to this familiar trope. My main issue with this story however was the pacing. I found it very slow and repetitive, while it felt like it took a long time to end. Even though this wasn’t a favourite of mine, I can still see others enjoying it. Especially if looking for a slow burn thriller with some twists and turns. 2.5 stars rounded up. Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for this copy in return for an honest review.

ARC Review – Two Perfect Couples by Renita D’Silva
⭐️⭐️⭐️💫 (3.75/5)

Two Perfect Couples is a gripping, slow-burn domestic thriller that explores the fragile façade of friendship and motherhood. Renita D’Silva delivers an emotional, suspenseful narrative that kept me turning pages late into the night. The setup—a dream holiday gone wrong, a missing child, and a web of secrets a immediately pulled me in.

The characters felt raw and human, especially the narrator, whose guilt and desperation felt palpable. I appreciated the emotional depth layered beneath the suspense. That said, the pacing lagged a bit in the middle, and a few twists were somewhat predictable for seasoned thriller readers. Still, the tension builds steadily, and the final reveal is satisfying.

A solid, character-driven thriller perfect for fans of Lisa Jewell or Shari Lapena. I’ll definitely be checking out more from D’Silva in the future.

Two perfect families head out on a holiday of a lifetime with their children to sun-drenched Goa. Jo and Lydia are best friends and their respective husbands Yash and Paul run a business together. It’s the perfect holiday until Jo goes to check on the children and realises her son is missing and the window is wide open. As the finger of suspicion is pointed, Jo starts to receive text messages deeming her an unfit mother and with the press intrusion, she’s at boiling point. I was expecting this to be a fantastic thriller that would have me hooked. But in reality this book was far too slow, it felt repetitive and Jo’s character just got on my last nerve. Sadly I had to fight to stay interested in this book. Thank you to NetGalley, Bookouture and the author for the chance to review.

I DNFed this book 10% in. The premise had me so intrigued and I couldn't wait to read this. But the pacing was just to slow for me to stay engaged and interested. I was already skimming the pages and we were just getting started so this wasn't for me. I like my thrillers to be fast paced and straight into the action.

This story centres around two couples on a holiday of a lifetime when a child goes missing. The pacing was a bit too slow for me and I couldn’t relate to the characters. The twists were good and still an enjoyable read.

Thank you to Netgalley and Bookouture for an advanced copy for this book in exchange for my honest review.

Wow! I absolutely loved this book! Renita D'Silva never fails to fill my reading experience with atmosphere, emotion and vivid pictures of what is happening.
In this gripping thriller, we have two families and their five children embark on a trip to India, but their holiday turns into a nightmare when five-year-old Ajit vanishes. As a desperate search ensues, a web of secrets, lies, and betrayals unravels, leaving you questioning everyone's motives.
Renita D'Silva expertly creates a rich, atmospheric setting that adds to the mounting tension.
You'll be on the edge of your seat as the plot builds, with each chapter revealing more shocking truths.
That final twist at the end has left me desperate for a sequel.

I was definitely interested in finishing the book to see what happened, however I don’t think it was that fast paced kind of book that I usually go for. It seemed to drag on more than needed and seemed very repetitive. However the overall story line was good and I enjoyed reading it
