This book totally scratched my nostalgic itch—it’s like Nancy Drew met Sweet Valley High twins Liz and Jessica- and I loved every minute of it! We Had A Hunch blends mystery, sibling dynamics, and small-town secrets with just the right dose of intrigue and emotion.
The story follows twins Sam and Alice, who are reunited and reluctantly drawn back into a case after an investigation 25 years ago ended in personal tragedy. The premise alone had me hooked, but it was the execution that truly delivered. Told through multiple viewpoints, the narrative feels rich and layered, keeping me guessing while also deepening my connection to each character.
I was genuinely invested in the mystery, and the characters felt refreshingly real: flawed, endearing, and fully dimensional. The way Tom Ryan wove their histories and relationships into the unfolding case was so satisfying, and the pacing never let up.
Perfect for fans of character-driven mysteries with a nostalgic vibe and clever twists. Highly recommend for your next binge-read! 🔍📚💫
