Finding love and home
I loved this single mom, friends to soulmates sweet holiday romance. It had the perfect balance of humor, heartwarming love, real life issues, and big feels. All the family goodness and holiday warmth packed into the story made my heart so happy. Nick is a pilot in Alaska and finally got his dream job as a pilot in Hawaii but first he has to have lasik surgery. Emily is a widow and a single mom to Max, a 6th grader, and Lyla, a 4th grader. Her deceased husband was Nick’s best friend and Nick spent holidays and other celebrations with them. Since Nick cannot fly for a bit, he agrees to be the manny for Emily while her MIL takes a much needed vacation. As they spend time together taking care of the kids and the house and Nick gets involved in small town life, the dynamic shifts between Nick and Emily. To get to their HEA, they’ll need to do some truth telling and life course rearranging but the journey there is full of heartwarming goodness. The story was well written and included engaging dialogue, three dimensional characters who grow, big feels and a captivating storyline. I am looking forward to reading more in the series.

Heartwarming Christmas Romance!
I really enjoyed this book. It's a slow build but its needed because it allows you to get to know the characters - the great kids, the angel of a mother-in-law, how they celebrate the husband and dad they lost (some of those moments are poignant but other traditions will make you smile and think maybe that's something you'd do. You don't want to stop reading as the main characters, Emily and Nick, grow and learn what's truly important in life. You'll smile with some of the things the kids do - been there done that! It's bonus that its set in Alaska, and the author takes you on the journey of what it's like to live in Alaska - the pluses and the planning needed to work around the weather. Just a great book all around and a great one to add to your Christmas list.

This is a heartwarming clean romance set in the small town of Swan Falls, Alaska where community and family are everything.
Emily is an oil well engineer, on an every two week on and off schedule, and Nick is a temporarily grounded pilot. Nick also was a friend of her former husband, Coop, so it helps that they already know each other well. She needs a nanny so her mother-in-law can go on a trip, and he needs a place to stay, so he takes the position.
This book is a warm and cozy romance that will put you in the mood for the holiday season. I'm looking forward to reading more books from this author in the future.
Thanks to the author, publisher, and NetGalley for an ARC of this book.

If you like "feel good" reads, this book hits all the marks! Not only does it have a great setting (Alaska) but the characters and the town itself make you want to move there. In this book, Pilot Nick has to have corrective eye surgery so he can take his dream job in Hawaii. His best friend's widow, Emily, needs someone to help with her children temporarily. When Nick ends up needing a place to stay until after the surgery, he moves in to help her out. And the story goes from there. I love the main characters but also all the "supporting" characters in this small town. I received an advance copy from the author and NetGalley but all opinions are my own.

I love Christmas books and I love romance books. This story was both and It was absolutely amazing. Love how everything turned out.

His Alaskan Christmas was a fairly quick read for me. From the title, I expected the story to be centered around Christmas a bit more than it actually was. I liked the interaction between the characters and I found myself getting emotional over several scenes near the end of the story.
I was hoping for more, but enjoyed the story nonetheless.
Thank you NetGalley and Harlequin for the ARC.

This was a good story! I enjoyed the plot, found the characters lovable and interesting, and I would definitely recommend this to others!

This was ok. Honestly don’t remember much of it. It scratched an itch but ultimately not memorable. Three stars.

Sometimes, the gift we need most comes unexpectedly.
I loved my quick visit to Swan Falls, Alaska and my time with the Cooper family. Although I didn’t get a real feel for Alaska in the winter, I appreciated reading about a strong female in a non-traditional career, who struggled with accepting help, and an endearing male who embraced a non-traditional role while struggling with his feelings for his best friend’s grieving wife. Each had something to give that completed the other. Each was willing to bend for the sake of the whole.
Carpenter excelled at portraying the emotional push and pull of attraction between these two. It felt authentic. I appreciated the wholesome, uplifting romance about finding love in unexpected places. It was heartwarming to see a focus on keeping the children a priority while still maintaining a compelling story about love and humanity extended to those who need it most.
I’m going to circle back and read book one in this series and will watch out for further installments.
I was gifted this copy and was under no obligation to provide a review.
