This book based on over 20 years of experince working in the hospitality industry is told thorugh a story through the lens of Summer Grace who leaves a toxic work place to join a new resport where she finds a company focused on what means the most based on a strategic focus based on values of compassion, encoruagement, kindness, hospitality, and leadership. The values discussed can be applied to any workspace. It is very helpful as a tool to recalibrate to provide a positive work climate. The narrator did a great job telling this informative story.

This whole book read like a self help/hospitality seminar led by someone named Jeff who you definitely know did the Disney College Program decades ago.
I appreciated the way the book was laid out, as a woman going through her on the job training at a new resort and spoke to the hospitality industry as a team first mentality. There were a lot of examples on team behavior, team building, and problem solving.
Thanks to netgalley for the audioarc, this is due to publish July 8, 2025

Short, sweet and simple. A creative spin on a hospitality self help book! I did like that it came off as a story of a woman going through her new job training on hospitality and how she felt and experienced this. Pretty short/ only took me two days to read listening in my car on my way to work! As someone who also has a job in hospitality, this was a good read, with simple but powerful ideas and how to talk about it with your teams. I will be having a meet up with all my staff soon and will be definitely talking about some of this with them. I do feel like the author could have dove a little deeper in some of these topics but I also loved that he included personal stories for examples to some as well.
