“He said he loved me. He said I had nothing to worry about. What else don't I know about my husband's lies?”
⭐️⭐️⭐️ (3/5)
Aria is in love with Ethan, they got married and life is following its course after a lovely honeymoon. Suddenly, Aria’s life slowly turns upside down. Ethan is working late and lots of business tripes. Aria wishes for a baby but nothing happens so far, and that’s only the beginning.
After a girls´ night out, her friend Isla is brutally murdered at the bar they’re at, only feet away. As the police investigation advances, Aria is becoming more and more aware that the man she loves may be a completely different, dangerous person.
This book is in the sole POV of our main character, current day as well. I really wanted to like this book more, but at times it felt so far-fetched and all over the place. Twists didn’t even feel like “twists” because they came out of nowhere and I didn’t feel as though there were any clues.
With that being said, this was a very easy book to read and I kept flipping pages to see “who done it.”
Thank you to NetGalley and Embla Books for a copy of this e-book in exchange for my honest review.

2⭐️ Thank you to NetGalley and Embla Books for an advanced copy of My Husband’s Lies.
Aria thought her marriage to Ethan was perfect but he has started to go on a lot of business trips and she thinks he is having an affair. She has a night out with her friends and when one of them is murdered she thinks her husband may be responsible. Can she get the answers before it is too late.
This one had potential but it got really far fetched as the book went on. I also thought the ending was very random.

I loved this book it kept me engaged and wanting to know what was going on till the end.
My Husband's Lies by Maryann Webb is a great, well paced thriller that will keep you on your toes until the very end.
The storyline was great and I flew through this book in one sitting.
These characters were brought to life and the author’s writing and descriptions of the characters and scenery were really well written.

Maryann Webb’s My Husband’s Lies is a gripping psychological thriller that feels startlingly real, tapping into the unsettling truth that deception can lurk in even the most familiar places. With a strong sense of emotional tension and a storyline that mirrors the complexities of real-life betrayals, this novel draws readers in from the first page and refuses to let go.
Webb masterfully builds suspense, slowly unraveling layers of secrets that surround the protagonist’s seemingly ordinary life. The pacing is pitch-perfect, leading to a shocking twist and a satisfying, well-earned conclusion that leaves a lasting impression. The emotional undercurrents running through the story give it depth, making the unraveling of lies not only suspenseful but deeply personal.
As a first-time read from Maryann Webb, My Husband’s Lies is an impressive introduction to her work. Her storytelling is confident and immersive, and it’s clear she knows how to craft a thriller that both entertains and resonates. Fans of domestic suspense will find much to enjoy here—and plenty of reason to explore more of her books.

Good overall story about a nurse whose friend is murdered. Interesting, short chapters that will keep you hooked!

Everything about this read is what you might expect from this genre.
It has twists, it has drama and it is a book that i found really enjoyable.
It was a little predictable but for me it didn;t matter. i enjoyed my reading time and the author gives the reader a story that is twisty and brilliant.
I loved it

Fantastic book! Just enough suspense as well as twists and turns to keep you guessing what was going to happen next. I really enjoyed this read and have no hesitations about giving it 5*s!

My Husband's Lies is a tense, fast-paced psychological thriller that hooks you from the very first page. Maryann Webb crafts a suspenseful tale full of secrets, betrayal, and jaw-dropping twists. Just when you think you’ve figured it out, another revelation throws everything into question. The characters are compelling, the plot is tightly woven, and the ending is both shocking and satisfying. A truly unputdownable read for fans of twisty domestic thrill

this was so clever! i loved how very clever it was. i wanted to peace it together but also didn't because i was having too much fun it be unveiled to me as and when Maryann saw fit. excellent. truly excellent book.
i feel like there was something off from the start. im not sure whether this was my paranoid thinking from the blurb or whether it genuinely was not all as rosy as Aria thought it was. but for a while she certainly thinks she has it made. and is now trying to a baby to make there little family complete.
i really felt Arias growing tense and confusion over what was going on or if anything was going on! i really appreciated the authors add of reality. so many times in this book we are wondering where all the other people are in the vulnerable persons life. but for this one they were around. and part of it. it added depth and made it more realistic(although i do know in many circumstances they do become isolated)
this is truly a book of you never know those you love. or sometimes you dont. and in those cases you need to get the hell away and fast.
i loved how the past of both Aria and what was going on now was peeled away for us all to have our own "gasps" or "aha" moment.

Thanks for the ARC!
Fantastic book that is extremely gripping from the get go with phenomenal twists. Highly recommend!

So good it’s a page turner kept me at the edge of my seat the story line came up so well thank you so much for this read

It’s a good psychological thriller! I enjoyed reading it. There were a few parts where I felt that way too much and two, but I also loved the ones that felt realistic. For example, when the main character shares her concerns or a photo she found with her friend instead of hiding everything and trying to solve the mysteries by herself. There are a lot of characters in this book, and the stores and events are all intertwined, but it’s not hard to follow what is going on. I almost didn’t need the last part where Aria meets Matt again, but I can see the vision that the author had and how it “closes” the book/story, but I almost wish that part was kept open and the ending kept hanging like we’re expecting another book.

I received this as an ARC from netgalley and the author! I am so glad I was chosen for it, thank you! I loved the twists and turns in this book! Aria being played like she was, was wild! The wife, the 2 side pieces, one of them being her! Cant believe how far the maid took everything! From the wife, aria, willow, matt and everyone being tied together somehow was just wild to me! Definitely kept me on my toes for the whole book!

Such a great book. Thank you for letting me read it in advance. I couldn't put it down. Five stars for sure.

Thank you to NetGalley, Embla Books, and author Maryann Webb for the opportunity to read and review this ARC for My Husband's Lies.
This a domestic thriller that leans into the chaos of secrets, trust, and betrayal within a seemingly normal marriage. From the first chapter, the author pulls you into a tense atmosphere where every conversation feels loaded and every silence feels suspicious.
The pacing is sharp with short chapters (which I appreciated), steady reveals, and a sense of dread that builds without ever getting too heavy. There’s an undercurrent of emotional complexity that gives depth to the characters, especially Aria(FMC) whose voice carries the narrative with a mix of confusion, strength, and vulnerability.
Something that didn't allow me to give this book a 5 start is that at times, Aria asks a lot of questions internally, I would say too many questions, which can make it hard to stay fully immersed in the story. Still, her emotional turmoil feels authentic, Also, it was refreshing to see that she’s not completely isolated. The presence of supportive friends adds balance and hope, helping ground the story in a more realistic world.
Another interesting point was how her own past becomes a mysterious thread that slowly unravels, ultimately delivering a well-executed twist that ties it all together and elevates the emotional weight of the ending. This book will make you wonder if you can ever fully know the person you love.
If you are looking for a story about a normal marriage that is surrounded by crime and thrilling moments, then this is for you!

This story is incredibly addictive, full of twists and turns. How well do you really know your husband? Aria, a nurse, is married to Ethan, a businessman. She starts feeling like someone is watching her, leaving her spooked. While they’re trying for a baby, Ethan is away once again, and her friends invite her for a night out. But one of her friends doesn’t make it home—she’s murdered in the bathroom, and Aria believes it should have been her. Determined to uncover her husband’s secrets, Aria embarks on a gripping journey. A very compelling read!

Woah this book was so gripping and oh-so-twisty, this is a page-turner that you won’t want to put down! It was phenomenal! Oh my goodness, reading this book gave me such goosebumps and I was hooked from the very beginning! I couldn’t put the book down.
