I’m going to be honest here. I downloaded this for one reason alone: the title. Hockey AND three men and a baby vibes yes please. The story was cute, but the writing of the characters did seem to a bit emotional stunted at times, especially when someone is like no no and two seconds later is like okay. Overall, it delivered some spice and some overprotective males.

3.5🌟 I really enjoyed this, was very fast paced. Why choose with bi awakening... Right up my alley. I liked all the mmc's and the FMC, my main wish would have been a deeper connection but the spice was great

3 ⭐️ Not what I expected?
First of all, a huge thank you to Net Galley for the eARC! I adore getting early copies of books and even though I'm so busy irl I could start crying, books are always a safe haven to come back to.
This book gave be whiplash, but in what felt like a slightly more emotianlly mature way than I expected. It's reverse age-gap, which translates to inmidiate extra brownie points in my book, and the whole surprise pregnancy... is it really a surprise if it's in the title?
Anyway, I had a fun couple of days reading this book, but Theo... I think if he wasn't part of this book, I may think about bumping it up to 4 stars. Seriously, I kind of hate the guy. This would've been a lovely MMF book without him in it lol.
It's steamy as hell, and Vivian has a lot on her mind, and a lot of choices to make. The writing wasn't my favourite and I think there were sections that could benefit from some editing. Overall, good but not great.

It’s a good concept, but I sometimes found myself losing focus. I gave it a 3 star rating cause of that and because that led me to have trouble connecting with the relationship.
Thank you Net Galley for the opportunity's to read the eARC!
Found at: Goodreads and Fable.

Thank you to NetGalley for this book.
Unfortunately, DNF @10 percent
I did understand the premise of this book and it’s just not for me because the characters and especially the plot did not do it for me.

I requested this book because I thought it would get me out of a reading slump and it did! Everything felt so natural and I love a hockey romance and so I flew through this

Overall, I enjoyed the book. However, some parts felt really rushed and others seemed entirely unnecessary. It was almost like we needed every hardship to hit them. They couldn't have one thing go right.
The story was good, the spice was supreme, and the HEA was worth it all.
Thank you for the opportunity to read and review!

This was a great pallette cleanser! Grateful to NetGalley for the ARC, I loved the dymamic pf the relationship and the natural progression throughout! Some bits of the story felt a tiny bit muddled with the guys names being mixed up but overall a wonderful lighthearted read!

Vivian 30th birthday was quickly approaching and she was trying to determine what to do to celebrate her birthday. But then she got caught in an encounter with two college hockey players.

This book was a solid 3-star read for me.
The spice? Spicyyyyy. There’s no doubt the spice was off the charts, and if that’s what you’re here for, you won’t be disappointed. But for me, it sometimes felt like the steamy scenes overshadowed everything else.
I picked this book up because I love a good hockey romance, and the premise of surprise pregnancy and the mystery dad sounded like a fun, chaotic ride (which it absolutely was).
That said, the romance didn’t fully land for me. The characters seemed to be more in lust than love without ever really knowing each other. I didn’t feel the emotional connection, even though they were declaring their love.
Still, I appreciated the sweet ending. Finally confirming the father and seeing the group stay close gave the story a heartwarming wrap-up, and I liked the nontraditional family dynamic it leaned into.
Overall, while this book didn’t completely hit the mark for me, I do enjoy a spicy hockey romance with a pregnancy trope, so I’m glad I gave it a shot. I’ll be posting my full review on Fable as well.

Pucking Around by Emily Rath is one of my favorite books ever and when I got the opportunity to read what sounded like a college version of that, I was thrilled. Unfortunately, the similarities ended with the general premise of the book. This was so poorly written and the characters had zero depth. The insta love just didn't make sense, this was all lust, they knew absolutely nothing about each other.
Thank you to NetGalley and Victory for the ARC

Rating 4🌟
Release date: 29th May 2025
I was so happy to be accepted to read this book before it came out
This was a nice quick read, but with a lot of spice and fast paced
Kinda hard at the beginning to try and keep trying of the different people, but u get there in the end 😂(I'm only used to 2 Povs)
Like how the guys are all different but Vivian is like 'why chose' 😂

3.5!
Thank you NetGalley for providing this ARC
This book was so cute and fun. The relationship between all 4 of them was so thought out and well done.
However I do wish the build up and development of Bennett and Theo was more drawn out but overall I loved this book.

This book had me believing in superstitions and visions boards of my own because do dreams comes true for this couple.
We a have strong FMC, Vivian who not only is smart, head strong but a realist but also happens to be a cougar in the relationship. Did I forget to mention a librarian. Then we have our 3 hockey guys, Theo, Grayson and Bennett, mix them all together and you have the right ingredients to build the perfect guy. I really enjoyed the men’s character development and maturity to an accidental pregnancy, and in time being there for Vivian. Talk about super swimmers after one night of fun.
Throughout the book you learn about the guys upbringings and their acceptance and challenges within their own parents. Spoiler: Bennett’s family can just kick rocks (I guess the dad). I loved how accepting Vivian’s family was to such a different type of relationship from the very beginning and how she was never judged.
I’m so happy that all 4 characters were able to do what they love as a career and be happy.
I enjoyed this book, it was such a fun read, wholeheartedly, overall feel good book.
Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Thank you NetGalley for the ARC!

I really like the premise of this book. The story is fun and super hot but it was so rushed. I felt like I couldn’t get emotionally engaged because there wasn’t enough for me to get attached too. The timeline also felt rushed. So much time past in between some chapters and the characters would be in different mindsets or have different feeling so fast, I had constant whiplash. Regardless, I did enjoy the characters and there overall journey.

Vivian is a college librarian
Theo and Grayson are hockey players and roommates.
Grayson has the hots already for Vivian so now he needs to get her and Theo on board for the threesome (their superstition).
Their superstition for each season has proved to work for their winning... this season they chose an older women, and this time other roommate Bennett joins in... problem... she ends up pregnant.
How and what could go wrong with their season and their relationship as roommates and hockey mates?

I enjoyed this book more than I thought I was going to. I was shocked how well they got along even with the age gap. I am glad I had the experience to read the book and will look for other books from the author.

Loved this from start to finish, I love any type of romance books with any from of sports interlinked and this did not disappoint.

Okay, this was fun? I can't say it was my favorite and a week after finishing and I'm not sure I remember a ton of details which is an issue. I liked that they were all there for her. I felt a little like it was too much in line with Pucking Around, but also there were enough differences to not just be a duplicate.

I have to say I think I liked this in spite of some plot points that I normally dont’ like or try to avoid.
This is a why choose, swords crossing, accidental pregnancy, older woman + younger men age gap situation. What starts as a wild fantasy, one handed read, turns into a pretty serious situation.
Vivian is a college librarian, age 28 (?), working on her vision board to get some more excitement in her life. She gets asked out on a date by a 23 (?) year old college hockey player, Grayson. Even though he’s a younger guy, a student, she agrees with some reservations. But Grayson has more in mind than a date. His team mate/best friend/roommate, Theo, have a hockey superstition that THEY HAVE TO HAVE A THREESOME TO WIN AT HOCKEY. So every season they find a woman, usually another student, to have 3 somes with to win at hockey. It’s just sex, no girlfriends, no relationship. Grayson and Theo decide this year they want to have an ‘older’ woman, and Theo is really into librarians so Grayson has targeted Vivian. On their first date, Theo shows up and pretty quickly tells Vivian their plan. She’s mad, nearly leaves, then decides to take advantage of the opportunity to live a little.
What I personally don’t like, is the dynamic of college student + adult. They are technically only 5 years apart in age, but it feels a little icky to me. I think the author does a good job navigating around this in the end, but if it wasn’t an ARC I might have DNF’d.
On their night of their big event, their roommate, Bennett turns up and is asked to join in. It is pretty sexy and on par for other poly books. But Vivian decides she actually likes this guys and can’t keep doing this without catching feelings so she breaks things off.
No surprise from the title, but a big surprise to the characters, Vivian ends up pregnant. They did use condoms, that’s on page, but stuff happens. So what started out as a fantasy, has resulted in some very real world consequences. The rest of the book is these 4 figuring out their poly relationship, pregnancy, family drama, and what happens when people find out about their situation.
It does have an HEA, or HFN.
For a why choose, the author did a good job distinguishing between the male MMC’s with different personalities and backgrounds. Sometimes in these books their voices/POV start to run together. The final relationship kind of makes sense, Vivian is maybe an immature adult and 2 out of the 3 guys are pretty emotionally mature.
So, I liked this more than I thought I would when I started reading it. It combined a lot of sex with an interesting story line if you’re into polyamorous relationships with pregnancy mixed in.
