Thank you to NetGalley for the ARC! This is my second book in the Karma Club series (all books by different authors but following the same characters) and I was a bit hesitant because the first book I read was just okay for me. However, this book was excellent! I’m giving it a 4 stars! The author did such a great job at writing this story and describing the characters and wrapping up the series (although there are two other books) that it made me appreciate the first book I read a little more. I would read anything by this author. This story has friends, young love reunited later in life, hockey, islands, small town and obviously some karma - it has everything in it without making it feel like too much. I would so read a sequel to the characters in this book!

Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for sending me a copy of this book to review.

This was a fun romance novel, and I enjoyed it a lot. I am looking forward to reading more by this author.

As someone who hasn’t read the rest of the Karma Club series, I now want to after reading this! I really enjoyed seeing Sienna and Aiden wrestle with their feelings for each other and find ways to communicate how their individual traumas have shaped their lives. I loved the consent (a must for me in romance novels!). And I really enjoyed the celebration of female friendships - such a nice thing to see!

I’m head over heels for this series! The moment I turned the last page of book three, I immediately dove into this one. I just couldn’t help myself. This series is that good! Honestly, I was tempted to stay home from work just to devour it in one go.

I’m a total romantic at heart, and this series was perfect. The women in these stories are so wonderfully relatable. They are funny, smart, and full of heart. They felt like the kind of friends I would scheme with over wine on a Friday night. I found myself cheering them on through every laugh, every twist, every heartfelt moment. The revenge plots had the right amount of chaos and hilarity without an ounce of cruelty. I love that the ladies tried to find ways to annoy the men just a little and tried to go undetected.

This fourth book was the perfect finale. It picked up the threads from the first three books and wove everything into a satisfying, heartfelt conclusion.

If you're looking for your next summer binge, this series is funny, romantic, and full of heart.

I had such a good time reading this!
I loved these characters a lot, the battles they both had to face were not easy!
Settling the Score is the last book in the Karma Club series. This story is about Sienna and Aiden who were together 10 years ago, until he abruptly left town and her with it. After suffering a lot of trauma and battles Sienna wants revenge and the perfect time? At her best friends wedding, where he's the twin of the groom and the best man! However, will it all go to plan? Or will she be left hurt again? 💓
We have second chance, enemies-lovers 🔥
I feel like I wanted more from this book, like I wanted him to work for her!! But we didn't get any of that and he kinda backed off like he did the first time and it was her who had to make the effort!! I really liked Aiden but I wanted him to be better for Sienna because of the hurt he caused in the past! 😭

Thank you to Clare Connelly & Boldwood Books for the ARC of this book! 💗

Im so sad this series is over.
This book was definitely hard to read due to the topics that were included in it but it really made you understand the characters a lot more and just feel a bit closer to them.
I do wish the side characters could get their happily ever after though.

I didn’t read the rest of this series, but I can confirm that the author catches you up easily enough. The premise is a tad underhanded to me, but I guess when Karma doesn’t visit on her own, some assistance is okay. And I can honestly say that Aiden needed redemption here. He may have been young and scared and trying to find his future, but that’s not an excuse for being as cold as he clearly was to the girl he left behind.

That said, he does give good grovel once the truth of both hearts comes out. He does try to make it right. And he does make a point to share his heart without fear. Chuck might be the star though. He’s an excellent friend and ally to all of them and makes me so happy with the dose of Karma served to one horrid person in the end.

I want to thank NetGalley and Boldwood Book for an early copy for a honest review in return. I liked this book. It's sad that this is the last book of The Karma club. I like how we got Sienna's and Aiden's backstory. The rest of the series was funny and goofy but this last book felt realistic. Dealing with loss, alcoholism, abuse and more. I think it was the perfect book for the last couple. Also I loved how all the couples were involved in this book. I thought we weren't going to get a HEA in this book. But I was satisfied with the ending of the series I loved it and would definetly recommend reading it. Once again thank you NetGalley and boldwood book for this ARC

Unbeknownst to me, this book was the fourth installment in a series called the Karma Club. I picked it up as an arc and didn’t realize it until I was already reading. While I found it enjoyable as a standalone, there were some references to previous stories that I believe would have enhanced the reading experience.

In this story, Sienna is forced to reunite with her first love and teenage boyfriend, Aiden, when his brother is getting married to Sienna’s friend and Karma Club member, Astrid. Sienna still holds onto bad feelings for Aiden, who unexpectedly dumped her and ended any contact between them on the way to college. Despite their initial belief in a lifelong love, Aiden had aspirations of becoming a hockey star, which he achieved. Sienna was left in their hometown and, due to circumstances, was unable to pursue her own dreams.

Sienna’s plan at the wedding was to get some light revenge on Aiden but gets way-sided by truths revealed, undeniable chemistry and meddling friends.

The story was an easy read, although I don’t particularly enjoy the second-chance romance trope from a teenage love. However, it did manage to explore some heavier themes. The book is mostly closed-door (with only the start of a spicy scene), and scenes can be easily skipped over.

Overall, this is a good library pick-up, and it may be even better if you’ve read the series.

Thank you, Boldwood Books, for providing this book for review consideration through NetGalley. All opinions expressed are solely my own.

Fun and cute, this was the perfect ending to the Karma Club series! I will miss this wonderful group of ladies and their stories so much. Sienna's character shined so much in this book! I felt like Aiden could've been better as a person overall, especially when trying to get Sienna back. Overall, great read!

Settling The Score is the fourth and final book in the series The Karma Club. The story focuses on Aiden and Sienna. The pair fell in love in high school. Aiden, wanting to escape his abusive father and save his brother and mother, broke Sienna’s heart when he left town for college and asked her never to contact him again. With Astrid marrying Blake, Aiden’s twin brother, the pair come face-to-face for the first time in a decade. Sienna’s friends think the best revenge will be for her to flirt with Aiden and then leave him the way he left her. Sienna’s just not sure she can keep her heart out of it.

I liked Sienna and Aiden well enough, though I did not exactly relate to either. For me, I found the level of hurt that Sienna carried for ten years to be extreme. Also, I didn’t really feel a lot of chemistry between them. I wished Aiden had been fully transparent with Sienna regarding the past, especially after he became more truthful and was desperate to win her back for good. Sienna, for her part, was honest about the parts of her past that had to do with him fairly early in the story. Knowing she still loved him, it seemed like a dumb idea to get involved physically with him. At the end of the day, I wanted them to find happiness together, but the whole thing fell a bit flat for me. I wanted them to see Aiden really fight for her, since he was the one who screwed up their relationship to begin with. I thoroughly enjoyed how they stuck it to Horrible Harvey.

Thank you to NetGalley, Boldwood Books and Clare Connelly for an advanced reader copy (eARC) in exchange for an honest review.

Honestly, this book was not really for me. I found the characters hard to relate to and kind of annoying. It was difficult to get past all of the typos too. I found the storyline completely unbelievable.

In this story, sienna goes on a revenge mission against her ex, Aiden a pro hockey player. However, to no one’s surprise, they end up realizing they never really got over each other. Set at her best friend’s and his brother’s wedding, this story is even more unbelievable as it turns out the friend and brother met while the friend was supposed to be plotting the revenge scheme against Aiden. And to end the book, they help another friend get revenge on her ex! It just seems very childish and unrealistic.

Thank you NetGalley, Boldwood Books, and the author for this ARC!

Settling the Score is the fourth and final book in The Karma Club series. Now it is Sienna Mastrangelo to finally get her just deserts on the love of her life Aiden Carter. Its been 10 years since Sienna and Aiden have seen each other. Now that Blake and Astrid are getting married and her three best friends Sieanna, Bella, and Paige are the bridesmade. Aiden just can't understand how Astrid and Sieanna are friends and that he is finally seeing her after he left her with a broken heart. Sieanna's new plan is to break Aiden's heart and leave him behind without a thought. Now with the wedding day quickly approaching will Sieanna be able to not to get her heart broken again by her true love? I loved all of the books in this series . They are humorous as well as spicy. They are a fast read and all are written be different authors. I would like to thank both NetGalley and Boldwood Books for letting me read an advanced copy of this book.

This book was so fun and cute! A perfect lil summer romance to read on the beach! I want to read more form this author!

For as long as I can remember, I have been a fan of traditional romance. Once I read more, I started to really enjoy both romantic suspense, and romantic comedies. I have to admit that I was very nervous reading a final book of an existing series. Lucky for me, I was able to read this as a standalone.

As I recently read a book from an existing series, and found the side characters (that were main characters in previous books) extremely unlikable, I was definitely a bit nervous about that as well. It was a relief that I really liked the side characters. So much so, that I have plans to go back and read the other books in the series (even though they are by different authors).

Ultimately, I really liked this book, and I loved how it ended. I had several things that I wanted to see in like an “epilogue,” and this ticked all of the boxes. I can truly say that this is one of the most satisfying series conclusions that I have read in a while.

**I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.**

Review: Settling the Score by Clare Connelly
Publisher: Boldwood Books
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Clare Connelly delivers a sharp, emotionally charged finale in Settling the Score, the last entry in the Karma Club series—a spicy, second-chance, enemies-to-lovers romance set against the sun-soaked backdrop of a luxurious Italian wedding. But don’t be fooled by the postcard-perfect scenery—this one cuts deeper than you expect.

Sienna Mastrangelo is done letting heartbreak define her. A decade after NHL star Aiden Carter left her behind, she’s not just dreaming of revenge—she’s about to execute it, Karma Club-style. The plan? Make him fall for her again, then crush him. Clean. Final. Poetic justice. But plans rarely survive first contact with unresolved feelings, especially when the attraction between them is still nuclear.

What elevates this book above standard romantic fare is its emotional honesty. Beneath the flirty banter, steamy tension, and revenge pranks, there’s real pain: abandonment, grief, broken trust, and childhood trauma. Both Sienna and Aiden are carrying baggage—raw and unresolved—and Connelly doesn’t flinch from unpacking it. There’s heartbreak, but also healing, handled with care and complexity.

Sienna shines as a lead—resilient, grounded, and quietly fierce. And Aiden? He’s more than just a brooding sports god. He’s flawed, vulnerable, and unexpectedly tender. Watching them navigate old wounds to find something new was messy in the best way.

Of course, the Karma Club girls remain the heart of the series. Their friendship is what makes these books sing—raucous, loyal, sometimes chaotic, always real. And yes, justice gets served, even to the series’ most despicable ex (Harvey, your day has come).

A few pacing hiccups and some overemphasis on Sienna’s physical description keep this from a perfect score, but overall, Settling the Score is a satisfying, sexy, and surprisingly soulful wrap-up. If you’re here for heat, humor, heart, and healing—this book brings all four.

Best enjoyed with: Prosecco, your best girls, and a killer revenge playlist.
Release Date: July 24, 2025
Recommended if you like: The Hating Game, The First Wives Club, destination weddings with emotional baggage, and high-stakes second chances.

This is an ARC review. I want to thank Clare Connelly and Boldwood Books for allowing me the chance to read this book ahead of release day! I am so sad this is the last book in this series because I’ve had so much fun with these ladies! Sienna and Aiden’s love story was a long time coming and I was so quick to dive into it. The last love story of our Just Desserts Group and it ended with all the tension and banter I needed! The payback plan by the entire Karma Club was just hilarious. But what brought some heartfelt deep thought is Sissi’s background and everything she went through…alone. The guilt, unresolved feelings, and misunderstandings on both sides were addressed so well in this book.

Seeing the Karma Club grow in size but mostly in love was the absolute best full circle moment.

“Funny, when they’d initially thought about karma, it had been about avenging the men who’d wronged them, but now she saw it for what it really was: four women who’d been hurt in the past learning to love again, to heal their hearts and find comfort in true friendship. That was the true karma, the true just desserts.”

Do I hear crickets?

Back again with another The Karma Club book. What can I say? These interconnected books are a silly, goofy time. We love rivals-to-lovers situations, and throw in found family and a side of comedy. It's a recipe for success. This book was easy to get into, and the chemistry between the two main characters was realistic. I love a second-chance romance, and the wedding backdrop is unreal. I love that I got to see Sienna's character from the last book come full circle!
