I tried working with finding the recommended three things to be grateful for every day in the past. After a month or so it started to become redundant because I just couldn’t think of anything new, and I kept falling back on the same things over and over again. At that point, it felt so much like a job that I gave up. I was hoping this book would be helpful.

Since this book is broken down into the four seasons, and each season has three chapters, I approached this as a chapter a month book. I liked the inspiration of the all the different monthly ideas the author came up with. Some worked for me and others didn’t. I bought a Katie Daisy weekly planner that had some quotes that I found added to the experience and I have been writing in it everyday this year. One particular month, when the entire project felt like a bit too much, I wrote Bible verses that I love. They were definitely something that I appreciated.

I’ve made it through most of the year, and I can honestly say that I found this experiment to be a good one one, so I’m giving the book four stars.
