I love that this book picks up right where Filthy Rich Fae left off, because that was a brutal cliffhanger. I already finished the rest of the book now! (Review below.)

Fated mates romance, found family, murder mystery, magic, and drama combine to make this an addicting book and series. Fallen Court picks up right where Filthy Rich Fae left off, then takes it up several notches in intrigue and lore. I spent the whole book trying to guess the twists (unsuccessfully) and reveling in the love story between Lach and Cate. Lach is the shadow daddy we all deserve, with a morally grey heart and a dirty mouth. The cliffhanger was SO RUDE and I can’t wait for book 3!!

Thank you to NetGalley and Entangled for the ARC of this book in exchange for my honest review! I’ll be buying the gorgeous sprayed edge paperback for my shelf and rereading it on audio very soon because I just know Aiden Snow is going to knock it out of the park as a shadow daddy.

Okay this totally had me hooked from the very first page. Even though I only got a preview, the drama, the tension, and the whole vibe just sucked me in. The world feels rich with magic and danger, and you can already tell the romance is going to be intense. I’m such a sucker for the whole “he’ll burn the world to save her” dynamic, and Lach is definitely giving that energy.

If you love romantasy with magic, broody love interests, and just enough spice to keep things extra fun, this one’s probably worth bingeing. 😭 off to get the full thing

Thanks to Entangled: Amara and NetGalley for the preview—definitely adding this to my TBR!

Is this the last book because I need more! This man! I loved romance and the story in book one and book two. I feel like there's going to be another book but I'm not seeing any announcements of a third to this story.

The preview of Filthy Rich Fae: Fallen Court introduces readers to a world where fantasy and opulence collide, blending fae politics with contemporary drama. Geneva Lee sets the tone with fast-paced writing and a heavy dose of intrigue, offering glimpses of a complex social hierarchy and characters with tangled loyalties.

The tone leans into steamy, high-stakes tension with hints of romantic entanglement and personal secrets. While the preview doesn’t delve deeply into world-building or character backstories, it suggests a narrative driven by drama, power plays, and emotional conflict. Readers looking for rich fantasy lore may find the setup more focused on interpersonal dynamics than detailed mythology—at least initially.

For fans of dark fantasy with a seductive edge and morally grey characters, this book teases an entertaining escape. Others might want to wait for more development before deciding if the series aligns with their taste.

This book preview was fascinating and made me want more. The writing is thrilling, intense, and there is a sense of walking a fine line, which I believe is exactly what the author wanted to show in this book and in the preview. I'm excited to also read the full book, I'll be purchasing and in that case the preview has done it's job. Thank you to Netgalley, the author Geneva Lee and the publisher Entangled publishing for this preview, it left me wanting more.

Thank you Netgalley and the publisher for allowing me to read and review this ARC preview.

I was immediately pulled into Fallen Court. The writing is sharp, the tension hits fast, and the world feels dark and thrilling. The fae magic, New Orleans setting, and ticking soul deadline made it impossible not to want more. Fallen Court continues with high stakes and intense emotion. I love the dual POV. Their bond and the growing danger had me fully invested. This series is addictive, emotional, and full of the fantasy drama I love! I need more!

This book was so binge-able and entertaining that I simply couldn’t put it down. I enjoyed Kate and Lachlan’s character dynamics and the forbidden romance aspect so much. This takes place in New Orleans, which I found new and exciting.
This book has everything from political schemes, fae, dark magic, drama, exquisite slow burn, and a plot that hooks you from the start with mysteries and questions. It also has dual pov, which I really appreciated. I cannot wait for the next book!

Thank you Entangled Publishing and NetGalley for this arc.

🖤✨ **Dark magic. Deadly bargains. And a fae prince who would BURN THE WORLD FOR HER.**🔥👑

Cate thought she’d seen it all as a trauma nurse—blood, death, human cruelty 😔💉. But nothing prepared her for the fae underworld, where beauty hides monsters and desire can be fatal. 🕷️🌹

She barely made it out alive…
Until Lachlan Gage stepped in.
The ruthless fae prince of New Orleans 👑🌑. Feared. Dangerous. Impossible to trust. And now? He owns her—bound by a bargain that could break them both. 💀🤝

🗡️ The Wild Hunt rides.
⚔️ War brews between the fae courts.
💍 And Cate’s past is more tangled in this war than she ever imagined—especially when a mysterious ring left by her mother starts whispering secrets. 👁️🕯️

But the real danger?
Isn’t just the enemies closing in…
It’s the prince who would die for her.
And the ancient darkness that wants her for itself. 🌌🔥

This book is:
🌘 Dark fae fantasy
💔 Reluctant, forbidden romance
🖤 Protective antihero who is unhinged for her
🏹 Court intrigue, deadly magic, found power
💫 Slow burn with explosive payoff

📚 Final thoughts:
Absolutely unputdownable. I’m obsessed. Lachlan Gage is my new problematic fave and Cate is THAT GIRL. 💅

This preview was so good; I almost cried when I reached the end! I can’t wait to read the entire novel and really delve into the action, intrigue, world building, and romance.

Okay, I did finish this whole book already, and I have to say it was SO good. Was it a bit slow at times? Yes, but the way Lach is trying to move heaven and earth for Cate is unmatched.

Overall, a rollercoaster of a book, but I love the found family and tie-ins with Filthy Rich Vampires (now I need to binge). Gevena Lee is always keeping us on our toes. Excited for the next one...CAN'T BELIEVE THE CLIFFHANGER.

Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️.5
Tropes: Romantasy
Spice: 🔥🔥🔥

Fallen Court picks up right where the first book left us—on the edge of a cliff, clutching our hearts. Lachlan is on the run from the Wild Hunt, and poor Cate is trapped in Oberon’s prison. With curses brewing and dark court politics at play, Lach has to fight through layers of betrayal and danger to get her back.

Told in dual POV, we get a deeper look into both Cate’s determination and Lach’s relentless drive. Cate proves time and time again that she’s stronger than anyone gives her credit for, and Lach is all broody, brutal devotion. Their connection is still intense, and the stakes this time around are even more dangerous.

The fantasy elements really step up in this one—more magic, more danger, and a heavier sense of urgency. That said, the pacing did drag a bit in the middle, and I found myself a little frustrated with some of the miscommunication and withheld secrets between Cate and Lach. It felt like a bit of unnecessary drama in places.

Still, I was hooked enough that the ending left me immediately needing book 3. If you're into romantasy with danger, devotion, and just the right amount of heat, this series is worth the ride!

Trigger Warnings: Imprisonment, violence, magical torture, manipulation.
