"This is Me" is a nonfiction text about character traits. Traits are showcased by a variety of characters and explanations of the characteristics. A lot is going on the pages between text and illustrations which may not appeal to younger ones. A good SEL text that can be read independently, read aloud or read in chunks.

This was an interesting book. It compares and contrasts different traits for different characters. It has great information. It is not a book most kids would pick up and read though. It is more of a adult book about kids, or a book for an adult to read with a kid. I thought it was well organized and well written. I look forward to seeing a hard copy of the book.

Oh my goodness this book is absolutely wonderful!!! I so wish I had a book like this growing up. Honestly, I think the book would even be helpful to a lot of adults.

I love how gentle this book is, it teaches you without any hint of judgement. I love that it teaches you to be kind and patient with yourself, you can’t help who you are but you can learn to not let your natural tendencies get in the way of things (like friendships).

Thank you so much for the arc and for writing books like this. It gives me so much hope that the next generation of kids are reading things like this.
