This was meh. Not sure if it would have been better if I read the previous books in the series, but was not super entertaining and very cheesy.

**Review: *That Time I Kissed the Boss* by Julie Christianson**

*That Time I Kissed My Beachfront Boss* is a sweet, low-stakes romance centered around Olivia, one of a set of triplet sisters. After being passed over for a promotion, she leaves her job and heads out of the city to regroup with family. She ends up helping market a small hotel, where she meets Hudson Blaine—a former corporate powerhouse who's traded in the big leagues for a quieter life.

The chemistry between Olivia and Hudson is charming but feels a bit surface-level. While the story is enjoyable, it lacks depth and complexity, making the romance feel more sweet than swoony. For those hoping for heat, this one leans fully into clean romance territory—no spice here.

As the third book in a series, there are several characters who pop in and out, and I suspect fans of the previous books will get more out of those interactions. As a standalone, though, it still holds up, especially if you're looking for a lighthearted escape.

Thanks to NetGalley for the ARC in exchange for an honest review.
