Thank you to NetGalley and New Village Press for the ARC. My opinions are my own.
I find myself wanting community when reading this book. This is a great look into how art can shape a community and vice versa. I am also curious if it would qualify as an autobiography or a biography. The way it was written feels so personal.
The way it reads is almost like a bunch of short stories heading towards the same ending or a common goal. Insight from lots of different people from different backgrounds, but similar circumstances.
I do wish that I got to see more of the "art" made by the communities. I just know and feel that there were lots of creative and evocative pieces. The photographs are great however.
Giving this 3 stars. Slightly slow to read, but nice experience regardless.
