Tiffany lost her parents at 15 and now lives with a guardian.
Over the years she develops a group of close lady friends.
She has been investing with good returns and offers to help her friends do the same to increase their own coffers.
Wolf is the best friend of her guardian and has been severely wounded by love in the past.
Wolf dances with Tiffany and begins to see her as a woman.
Many ins and outs with investments, wagers, unrequited love, and hijinks of the ladies.
A truly good read with many characters that are developing in their own right.

Miss Serena Wakes Up – previously published as A Lady Never Concedes

Lord Julian Montague and Miss Serena Fancot have been best friends since childhood. Julian has decided it is time for him to marry and there is only one person he wants Serena. Serena never considered marriage until Julian starts talking about it and now all she can think about is she only wants Julian as her husband.

Julian and Serena’s love story was so charming and delightful!! I really enjoyed reading how they were best friends and figured out that the next step in their relationship was marriage. This was a quick, fun and very enjoyable read!!

Miss Tiffany Has a Secret.

Miss Tiffany Deveraux is the orphaned ward of the Earl of Marlowe. She plans on investing and earning enough money so she doesn’t have to marry unless it is for love.

Slade Ware, Marquess of Wolfarth is known as Wolf to all his friends. He is planning on only marrying for convenience since he lost the person he loved years earlier.

Wolf starts noticing Tiffany when she makes a comment about being invisible to everyone around. He decides that she should not be invisible but she should be noticed. When Wolf accidentally finds out about how brilliant Tiffany is about investing, he decides that she would be the perfect wife and could help him with his investments. Can Wolf open his heart to love since Tiffany will only marry him for love?

A great start to a new series by Bronwen Evans!! I really enjoyed Tiffany and Wolf’s love story!! It was so much fun and very entertaining!! I liked how Tiffany showed Wolf that he could love again while Wolf showed Tiffany that she was truly beautiful. I also enjoyed reading how they got to know each other and figured out that they truly did belong together. I highly recommend this book and look forward to the next book in the series!!

This was a cute story about a woman who was very aware of what she wanted in life. I liked that Tiffany didn’t bend to Wolf’s wishes and stood her ground. She knew what she wanted and she showed strength in achieving it. This story was a stark reminder of why financial independence is so vital for women. So much of their lives were out of their control. I’m glad to have received this copy for review and I cannot wait to read the rest of stories.

Not Done yet and I am enjoying the writing but I have a few gripes:

Glasses do not make you not beautiful, leaving them off should not make someone "pretty". This feels so 90s in its beauty expectations. Why can't someone see and be beautiful?
In the prequel, I hate when white people are shown as abolitionist. When really one of the reasons England stopped the salve trade was because the traders were killing the people they stole before they got to the destination of the ships and then tried to claim insurance payouts. The fraud (KILLING THE SLAVES) was costing insurance companies more than they could pay out. And just remember, they didn't really care as they backed the South in the Civil War. They still liked profiting off of slave labor.

Prequel 3 Stars, I think its a good start to the series. An introduction to the friend group and setup some of the crushes. I liked it but couldn't let go of my issue above.

The main story- I enjoyed this more than the prequel. I just don't love when the bluestocking has to change to be seen as beautiful. I prefer when they finally realize how beautiful they are. The steam was good. Liked that. I for sure want to read more the troupes just didn't play out in a way I enjoy. 3.5

Oh and in case you miss it, this is a republish of a previous book and prequel that the author released with new stuff. I didn't read the previous books/story so I can't say what is different.

Miss Serena Wakes – A Lady Never Concedes
What a cute and fantastic start to a new series from Bronwen. Even though I wish it were longer, it is very cute with a great HEA. Sacrifice is the name of the game in this story and Julian and Serena know how to play and how to win. A lovely lovely story. I read this when it was published as A Lady Never Concedes. The new epilogue, love love it.

Miss Tiffany Has a Secret – A Lady Never Surrenders
This story has an interesting premise and I really enjoyed the freshness of it. I thought Tiffany was a fabulous character – she was whip-smart. What does Wolf need from her? Well, that is a plotline for you to read. A couple of things I found kind of annoying were that I felt the story repeated itself a good bit. I thought it could have been a good deal shorter and probably would have even been better and too many names flying all over the place. I read this when it was published as A Lady Never Surrenders.

These new stories have added material.

A gorgeous story and beautifully written. I loved Wolf and Tiffany, such a great couple. The romance had everything from passion, witty dialogue and characters that jumped off the page. Tiffany and Wolf find the love of their dreams.

Miss Serena Wakes Up (bonus prequel)...
A lovely short romance and prequel to this series that sets the scene. Serena and Julian are childhood best friends where love blossoms into their life and politics and it all makes wonderful sense. Julian and Serena are well matched and bring an engaging attraction to the story.

Blue Stocking Miss Tiffany Deveraux has a secret. The poor orphan, ward of the Earl of Marlowe is not so poor. But she doesn't want that information to become common knowledge. Being a plain Jane, any hint of money would just bring fortune hunters to her door. Lord Slade Ware, the Marquis of Wolfarth whilst wealthy he’s an uncle who seems intent on bleeding the earldom dry with his gambling. Help comes in the form of his best friend’s ward. He’s learned Miss Tiffany Deveraux’s secret. She’s an investment guru who has accumulated a considerable sum. Marriage would seem a sensible option with so many dependents relying on him plus he’s starting to really see her. However she wants to marry for love & his heart was shattered years ago so they make a wager involving investments.
This is the first in a new series & what a lovely read it was. The characters have depth with the friends being lovely & the bad guy horrid. There are quite a few members of the Sisterhood so I’m hoping all of them have their stories. Some time is spent getting to know the friends & their families so the start of the book starts off slowly & then the pace gradually increases as a mystery unfolds too. I loved both Tiffany & Wolf, she thinks she’s the plain bluestocking but he gradually draws her out & makes her feel beautiful, she’s also straight talking & a bit of a risk taker. He's the wealthy handsome marquis who believes he can no longer love. I loved their journey to a HEA & once they were on the trail of the villain I couldn’t put it down. I loved the epilogue which not only brought this book to a lovely conclusion but gave hints for the next book
My honest review is for a special copy I voluntarily read

I liked Tiffany and Wolf. Wolf was just such a huggy bear, kind, generous with his love, protective of his lady. Tiffany was brilliant and also very sweet. The romance was well paced, and well developed.

Miss Tiffany Has a Secret is a fun start to Bronwen Evans’ new Sisterhood of Scandal series. Tiffany is a smart, independent heroine with a secret fortune and no interest in marrying for money. This makes her clash (and spark) with Lord Slade Ware, a supposed financial genius who’s not as confident as he seems. Their banter is charming, and the chemistry builds nicely as secrets come to light. I really enjoyed the dynamic between them because it felt genuine and had just the right amount of tension.

Some of the plot twists were a bit easy to guess, but that didn’t take away from the overall enjoyment. The supporting characters are a treat and clearly set the stage for future books.

Tiffany, unbeknown to anyone, has been investing her pin money and has amassed quite a sum. She hopes to have enough to be financially independent. She has no need for a husband. Wolf, whom she has been attracted to for years, feels no need for a wife. He tried that with a previous fiancee whom he could not protect from harm. When he starts to have feelings for Tiffany, he feels he can have a loveless marriage while taking advantage of her financial expertise. Tiffany, however, will not marry someone who does not love her back. I received an ARC from NetGalley and Dragonblade Publishing for my honest review.

two people that have a heart but dont give their away lightly...or ever. and for different reasons. our heroine has all the skills all the things she knows men dont think she should or could have. so she goes along with it. she pretends for protection of herself and her growing wealth. but our lady is clever and she is cleverly growing her wealth. not for power or greed like most though. the one things she wants is someones heart. she doesnt want the usual man coming sniffing because the see her as sure bet for usage and money. in this era is that always going to be too much to ask. tragedy has also taken her past. her parents were killed and she became a ward.
one thing we also know is she wanted to give her heart before. but it was broken in its own way. and she has never gotten over that. or that love.
the ward has a best friend. and here we have our hero. he sees Tiffany as the security he needs. a woman on his arms and money in his pocket. dont get me wrong hes doing well. but he knows its not on knowledge and is just down to luck. but after a loss and tragedy in his own past what he will not give this woman his heart.
never.
never.
right???
this was a non stop adventure of love and emotions. i loved it from beginning to end. and although we are talking of things very much in our past timelines, some of the subject matter(sadly sometimes) felt very relevant to today. im sure ive heard some of the ways towards woman ripple through the very rooms of today, ugh.
i was desperate for our two characters to get their happy ever ending. they needed it. they wanted it. i needed it. i wanted it! but there was very much lots of history and present getting in the way of that.
the secondary characters in this book are once again a brilliant set of additions. and im learning this author does all her characters both on the sides and in the main extremely well. non feel placed just because. and some you go on to want them to have their own stories.
and boy do we love the "sisterhood" and this is a series you will want to have all of to sit boldly on a shelf together.
and also could i please have a sisterhood like this for myself pretty please?
