Beautiful book with gorgeous photos. This book captures interior and exterior spaces with a connection to the natural world and a reverence for regional history, art, architecture, and agriculture. A lovely read.

A lot of people know there’s a whole state beyond NYC but know very little about it. Arnaud & Creech take a vague idea and shows us the history and community of this particular niche of America. This coffee table book has vivid images, history, and community in the Catskills.
As someone whose family vacations in a different region upstate, there’s so much more to discover and enjoy. Mountains, trails, lakes, art, music, food, farms, small businesses. New York is not a small state. This was a nice taste of what there is to explore.
I was ambivalent about the deeper dive into some of the houses. The unique, nature forward designs were interesting but I could do without the hammock that Gwen Paltrow has. I enjoyed this look at a quieter lifestyle 4/5

I received an ARC of this book from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.
This is a wonderful book. The pictures are beautiful and I enjoyed seeing more of a place I have never had the chance to visit.

This was so great to read and look through! Beautiful photography & great stories about upstate New York. I live in upstate NY and there are still so many places I haven’t yet traveled. The images and stories reflect it well and definitely showcase the beauty of it.

Beautiful photographs and writing.Hudson Valley is now a place I can’t wait to visit.I really enjoyed visiting their from my reading chair,Thecauthor made the town the people pop off the page gorgeous book to read through.#NetGalley #upstatenow

I have lived in Upstate NY for over 30 years. I moved here for college and never left. I did not make my money somewhere else and then "discover" the Catskills. This is my home, and I didn't see my home reflected within these pages.
This book is 95% the Hudson Valley and should have been labeled as such. Just take the three or so Catskills references out and focus on the Valley and it would have been stronger. Photography is nice but not exceptional.
Issues with the ARC format did not allow me to read the text, but I know what they said. As stated, I live here and know the story.

The photographer has an amazing eye for shots and the writer with the stories and information. The pictures are fantastic and well sorted. It’s wonderful to see all the different kinds of platforms that the photographer was able to share. This book makes me want to go to the Huston Valley to see all these places.
