I am not an architect. I am, however, it the midst of designing a new home (ground up after the Eaton Fire) and this is a wonderfully inspirational book.
While Lundberg's history and his own inspiration are fascinating, I was blown away by his use of natural and found materials. His work is stunning and evidences a man with a deep respect for our natural world.
He is also daring and, clearly, his work has a message.
I'd love to see his work in person some day, but I was happy enough simply indulging in the book's glorious photos.
An excellent and inspiring book!

As an architecture enthusiast, I really enjoyed this book. Seeing the designs and creative styles of the architect in the beautiful and artistic photography was a delight. I loved getting the architect’s perspective in his life of architecture. This book would both be a beautiful piece to have on your coffee table, as well as something interesting to read though. A quote that stood out to me and spoke to my architecture-loving heart: “Until you occupy a building, until you see it in the environment.
until you witness the play of light and the engagement of the occupants, you never know if it is a successful work of architecture.” I have been a part of the design process and the building process of houses and this is so very true.
