A Beautiful Celebration of Homes—Big and Small

Whose House Is This? by Marcia Huang is a heartwarming and imaginative exploration of what it means to have a home, no matter how big, small, wild or cozy. As you read it, It help you see Earth itself as one giant house—where the carpets are made of soft green grass, the sky is our ceiling and the wind acts like a fan gently spinning above us.

Through playful tone and vivid illustrations, Huang introduces young readers to a this enlarged home—so different, yet serving the same purpose: safety, comfort and belonging. Just like humans arrange pillows on a couch or hang curtains in windows, birds build nests with twigs and beavers craft sturdy lodges in rivers.

This book gently reminds us that every creature, no matter how small, has a special place in the world. It encourages empathy and wonder and invites children to think about the beauty of nature and the many ways life makes itself at home.

A perfect bedtime story or classroom companion, it inspires readers to look at the world with fresh eyes—and maybe even feel a little more at home themselves on this shared planet and be more responsible.

I really loved the cover, the title, and the tag line. The story line and illustrations however failed to hold my interest.
