This was a very cute grumpy-sunshine, small town romance. I loved the pumpkin farm backdrop. It gave me some great fall vibes. Sadie and Josh were both unique characters with unique jobs and back grounds. The author did a great job creating realistic backstories and solid character growth. The spicy scenes were hot! Both characters had good goals, and the story had great conflict to keep me reading. I sometimes struggled with feeling a connection to these characters for some reason, but it wasn’t enough to make me stop listening to the audiobook. Josh had a great heart. He was such a fantastic hero! This is my first book by this author. I would definitely read another book by her in the future. Overall, a fun fall read! The narrator did a great job bringing these characters to life. I received this book from Harlequin Audio and Netgalley. All opinions are my own.

Such a cozy seasonal listen! It gave me all the autumn vibes — small town charm, a hint of spice, and enough banter to keep me smiling. The audiobook narration fit the story perfectly. My only tiny gripe was pacing in a couple spots, but otherwise it’s exactly what I want in a fall romance.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Let’s Give ‘Em Pumpkin to Talk About by Isabelle Popp

Sadie Fox returns to her small town in Indiana to find that her family’s pumpkin farm is in ruins. Luckily her, nerdy video game developer turned farmer, neighbor is able to help her get back into the pumpkin growing contest.

I thought this was a great short and sweet romance. I loved the small Midwest town feel, and I can confirm she nailed the setting from experience. I loved the black cat fmc and sweet nerdy mmc together. They were well balanced and I loved how Josh willingly lets Sadie take charge. I also loved how Sadie was able to mend her relationship with her father and to forgive her younger selves mistakes. I’m going to be honest that this may have been a 3-3.5 star for me, but for once all the pop culture references hit just right. They were nostalgic for me, and the characters being in their 30s is a huge plus. The narrator was great, and I have no complaints. I typically enjoy duet narration, but i did not miss it with this book.
Let’s Give ‘Em Something to Talk About is a quick, spicy, small town romance with a grumpy/sunshine couple. This would be perfect to kick off your fall romance reads and it’s out now!

Thanks to Harlequin Audio and Netgalley for the opportunity to read this ARC.

A small town romance that is serving up Fall vibes.

Sadie returns to her hometown to look after her father’s pumpkin patch while he is away caring for his brother. When she arrives she finds that the entire patch has been destroyed by pigs. This is a massive disappointment as Sadie was planning to enter a pumpkin in the pumpkin contest at the state fair. The neighbor, Josh, offers to help by allowing her to take over growing one of his pumpkins. There is an instant attraction, but Sadie is still planning to leave once the fair is over.

Let's Give 'Em Pumpkin to Talk About by Isabelle Popp was a happy stumble addititon to my TBR/TBL. This ALC was narrated by Adelaide Fernport and in solo style narration and she did a phenomenal job really bringing the story of Sadie and Josh.

The book is written in third person, so the solo narration fits perfectly. It is a perfect jump into the early fall season feels.

A slowburn with temporary neighbors turned romantic partners. Let's Give 'Em Pumpkin to Talk About has perfect black cat/golden retriever vibes with the reverse grumpy/sunshine trope. Sadie has some past traumas to work through that have her believing she isn't cut out for love, or rather it isn't cut out for her. Josh is hiding s secret, that he is a tech millionaire, and we all know secrets make for some angsty moments.

Okay what can I say about this book. Its definitely an excellent summer slash fall book. I dont think I couldn't get enough of Saddie and Josh. They are so adorable. So much was against her, and she keep telling herself to stay. She had meet an amazing person and someone and something she needed.

I don't know if I'm artsy enough to fully appreciate this book. There is a LOT of explanation of contemporary art and textile art, which isn't exactly my thing. This often took me out of the story for extended periods of time.
The romance itself was a good slow burn with an opposites attract - black cat/golden retriever couple.

I found this story to be utterly charming. Likeable characters, engaging narrative and just the right amount of steamy spice.

An interesting read. I enjoyed it, but didn't find it spectacular. The audio narrator kept switching back and forth seemingly randomly between "punkin'" and "pumpkin" for pronunciation and that threw me off several times. I probably would have preferred the kindle option on this one because of that. I enjoyed the overall story though.

I didn't really vibe with this book. I didn't like the characters or the plot for that matter. I just couldn't get myself to connect to anything. I'm not sure if it was the writing style (which is fine not everyone's work is for everyone) or just the story in of itself. It read like a YA which is where I think it lost me when the spicy scenes would pop up and almost jump scare me and had to remind myself this was adult. With that said the book is not bad. The plot was intriguing, well described and the pacing was good. I did also find the romance to be pretty sweet and cute. Seriously don't let my review discourage you from reading this one I do think it was a case of wrong book wrong time.

It would make a great quick read for any fall TBR!

The audiobook was good, I do wish there would have been two narrators but Adelaide did a very great job bringing Sadie to life.

Thank you to NetGalley, and Harlequin Audio for the ALC.

This was a cozy, fall read. Perfect to get you into the autumnal spirit.
I did struggle to differentiate between the 2 POVs with only 1 narrator, but otherwise, this was a delightful read.

This definitely gave off "Hallmark' rated R vibes (there's plenty of smut in this book), so if you want a fun fall romance, this will be right up your alley!

Look, if you’re not ready to fall face-first into a pile of leaves and feelings, this book might emotionally ambush you. Let’s Give ‘Em Pumpkin to Talk About is like a pumpkin spice latte- comforting, sweet, maybe a little over-the-top, but exactly what your heart needs. Isabelle Popp serves up a romance with small-town shenanigans, autumn vibes so strong you’ll smell cinnamon, and characters who make you want to grab a flannel and fall in love with the cute farmer next door.

It’s charming, a little cheeky, and surprisingly emotional in the best way. Honestly, if Hallmark movies had better dialogue and a splash more spice, they’d be this book. Grab it, snuggle in, and prepare to believe in love, sweaters, and the healing powers of giant pumpkins.

Sadie Fox, an artist who moved as far as she could from Indiana, is ending up right back home to an attempt to salvage her relationship with her Dad by taking care of his prized pumpkins. However, she realizes that she has to salvage more than just the relationship when she arrives to the entire pumpkin patch squashed to pieces.

This is where the ball of sunshine and neighbor Josh comes to play. As a fellow pumpkin enthusiast who just happens to have the very thing she needed to be able to still compete, they begin their blooming friendship.

Now dont let the mushy pretise fool you, the spice level in this story is pretty high and heavy and comes in hot. It also genuinely ties in to the story and the balance between the characters.

Overall a 3.5 for me. It's a cute story and I love the fall vibes but in some spots, I was ready for more of the story. I would recommend this story if you're ready for all the fall vibes obviously.

Thank you to Netgalley and Harlequin Audio for the chance to review this wonderful story.

Thank you NetGalley for a copy in exchange for my honest review. I was hoping this book was going to focus on Fall and pumpkin growing. This was literally 80% smut, 10% talking or thinking about having sex, and then $10% pumpkin growing. I was very disappointed as I was wanting a read to get me in the Fall spirit while watching love bloom.

Thanks so much to Isabelle Popp and Harlequin Audio for the ALC of this book! I LOVED the narrator for this! This was a quick listen and a perfect quick cozy fall read! I love how the MMC is the Sunshine and the FMC is the Grumpy in the Sunshine x Grumpy Troupe. This is one I will put on a re read list for the fall!

Thank you @harlequin for the gifted ARC and ALC! This book was such an adorably pleasant surprise!

I went into this book expecting a fluffy autumnal romcom that I could shut my brain off while reading, and was met with SO much more! I did use my brain a little and enjoyed every second!

While it was also a cozy autumnal romcom, there were some pretty heavy themes covering parental estrangement, climate change, community-building, anti-billionaire rhetoric, and even Indigenous knowledge for land cultivation! Also several conscious conversations about mental health and sustainable ways to self-care.

I really loved the chemistry between our protagonists and also enjoyed the stakes between them. While the stakes weren’t too high, I felt the conflict of hidden motives to be strong enough to really pull this out of that “cozy” category.

This is the perfect end-of-summer book leading up to fall!

Let’s Give Em Pumpkin To Talk About
by Isabelle Pop
Narrated by: Adelaide Fernport
Publisher: Harlequin Audio

Thank you to NetGalley, the author, and Harlequin Audio for this ALC. This is my honest review.

After leaving her home in small-town Indiana, Sadie returns home to tend to her father’s pumpkins and is forced to confront her past. Told in alternating third-person POV between Sadie and Josh, Let’s Give Em Pumpkin To Talk About is a black cat/golden retriever pairing with an emo textile artist and a sunshiney ex-tech bro farmer obsessed with squash.

Josh is an absolute sweetheart of a cinnamon roll ethical millionaire (yes, apparently in fiction they do exist!). He’s charming, adorably awkward, and literally rides a horse through town like a Hallmark movie hero with a better therapist. I stan a man who’s actively working on his mental health.

Sadie is a confident, plus-size, take-charge woman who needs control…including the bedroom. The consensual and trusting intimacy in this story was perfect. It was steamy but also felt incredibly safe.

I loved the nuanced focus on Sadie’s relationship with her father, especially the way it paralleled Josh’s own journey with Sadie’s dad. The emotional weight of healing from generational trauma was handled with care and depth, adding even more heart to an already beautifully written story. It was interesting to see how both Sadie and Josh grew as the story progressed; this was just as much as personal growth as it is a love story.

The writing in this book is absolutely stunning. Like, I want to read every single grocery list Isabelle Pop has written. The metaphors and imagery? I had to keep rewinding the audiobook just to soak them in again. Pop’s prose is rich, emotional, and evocative in the best way.

Bi rep? Check. LGBTQ+ and nonbinary characters? Check. Positive fat rep? Check. An infuriatingly good miscommunication trope that had me yelling at Sadie and Josh because I cared that much? Sigh. Yes times a zillion.

Finally, huge props to narrator Adelaide Fernport. She nailed both Sadie’s sharp wit and Josh’s soft optimism. So much of this story lives in the characters’ internal dialogue, and Fernport managed to bring it all to life without ever disrupting the flow. At times the narration switches from Sadie to Josh abruptly and Fernport did it so seamlessly.

I’m giving this book 5 stars because, truly, I have no notes. It’s everything I’m looking for—and more—in a cozy fall romance.

This will be a great book to get you in the mood for fall. I loved the vibes. The story was just ok for me. I would recommend it but it’s not one I would put on a re-read list. It was a nice short easy to read small town rom-com

The audiobook was well done and pleasant to listen to.

Thank you to HQN Shameless Romantics for the opportunity to listen to this audiobook.

This was an absolutely delightful read! I was expecting a cozy fall themed rom com, and I found myself following two deeply loveable and flawed main characters with so much depth and interest! On top of that, I adored the small town setting, introspection, and the romance scenes were TOP NOTCH! If you're looking to curl up with a pumpkin spice latte and a cozy rom com, this is your next read!

this book was adorable and very worth the rad. I liked that she was the grumpy one and he was the opposite. It's well written and such a cute idea. Perfect book to get into the fall mood in the middle of summer.
