When Sadie goes back home to care for her father’s beloved pumpkin patch, she was fully expecting to grow a ginormous pumpkin, win the State Fair’s pumpkin contest and finally win the respect she deserves from her grudge-holding father. What actually happens is a horde of wild hogs that destroy the entire patch. Only then does the next door neighbor, Josh, who is annoyingly sexy, shows up and continues to wreak havoc in poor Sadie’s life when he offers to help her.
The attraction between the two consenting adults is off the charts and this book is such a fun ride. It made me yearn for the fall weather and air. It made me want a sexy, sunshine-y neighbor who was attracted to me.
The narrator, Adelaide Fernport was so wonderful. I enjoyed listening to this ALC so much.
This book is out now. GRAB IT before you get distracted. Josh Thatcher is one for the books, folks. Get on that NOW.
Thank you to Harlequin Audio, the author, and NetGalley for the early ALC.

I was a little afraid of this ARC because it’s not the right season to be reading it, but the cover was too cute and I went for it. I’m so glad I did! This was the sweetest story. I loved the characters and I can’t wait to read more from this author.

This book was so cute! I loved banter between Sadie and Josh and loved watching their relationship blossom despite her best efforts. I think their character progression (together and separately) was amazing! And even a little surprise character progression for her dad at the end as well.
My only issue is that there were no potential TW listed at the beginning. As someone who struggled with infertility and then pregnancy loss, I would have appreciated a warning for the conversation with her sister towards the end about possibly not keeping her baby. That was very triggering for me.
I thought the narrator was amazing and did a wonderful job at portraying the character the way I expected them to be.

I was totally shocked by this book. I was expecting a sweet fall small town romance and what I got was heat and angst and a closet of fun, 😜. This is a making up for past trauma and trying to heal story and breathes acceptance and being unique and how that’s okay. I loved the story. I loved the message and I loved the delivery. This is narrated by Adelaide Fernport who did an amazing job of portraying the cast. I like how she’s depicts Sadie and Josh and it isn’t just a female male voice. This felt like a multicast and it was easy to listen to. A perfect spicy fall romance.

Let's Give 'Em Pumpkin to Talk About by Isabelle Popp is excellent, give me 15 of them. The story follows grumpy Sadie Fox as she takes over her dad's pumpkin patch while he takes care of his brother. The farm gets destroyed by hogs from a neighboring farm and the little sunshine Josh Thatcher decides he is going to help Sadie.
This book is so stinking cute. I liked how respectful and sweet Josh was. I always love when the girl is grumpy and the guy is a ray of sunshine, I find that so cute. I very much enjoyed how into both of their jobs the two of them were. I thought that the fact that it was a little bit of a "finding yourself" story was *chef's kiss*. All around it was such a fun book that is just trying to be a fun little read and that's exactly what I wanted when I picked this book up.
I did immersive reading on this book and while I love the written portion, I adored the audiobook. It wasn't a duet but I still loved it just so much! I thought it was phenomenal. The narrator did such a good job and I highly recommend picking it up if you can afford to.
I would recommend this book to anyone who likes cozy romances with golden retriever cinnamon roll MMC. I do not recommend this book to anyone who likes dark boys because you won't like it. If you are in the mood for a cute little cozy light fall vibes read then you might really like this book. I do have to give two warning: the first is that the mom is just a bad mom, it is more described than on screen but she is a bad mom and the second is that the dad is mediocre at best so if that triggers you, maybe skip this one.
Tropes: grumpy x sunshine, midwest, millionaire romance, cinnamon roll mmc, golden retriever mmc, he falls first
Triggers: bad mom, mediocre dad
Thank you to NetGalley, Harlequin - Romance | Afterglow Books by Harlequin, Harlequin Audio, and Isabelle Popp for giving me the opportunity to read this book in exchange for an honest review. All opinions are my own.

This was a fun romance story. I love that you know how romance novels will end and yet, watching these characters get to that point is pure enjoyment. I love Sadie's dad and how grumpy he seems at the beginning of the book in comparison to how he is at the end of the book.
This is a great story to get you in the mood for fall. I look forward to reading more of Isabelle Popp's work in the future.
Back to back Adelaide Fernport narrations for me and she was great in both novels. I look forward to listening to more of her work as well.

If Til Summer Do Us Part by Megan Quinn is the romance book of the summer, Let’s Give ‘Em Pumpkin to Talk About by Isabelle Popp is the romance book of Fall!

I originally was going to take a star off for it being in third person bc I usually can’t stand it, but this book was SO GOOD it deserves all 5 stars. I love Sadie and Josh SO MUCH I was sad that this book was over despite the HEA.
Honestly, hoping for a second book with Grace’s story because I am so obsessed with Isabelle’s writing. Although 3rd person isn’t my favorite, I had absolutely no qualms with it this time around due to the funny and witty nature of the writing style.
Such a cozy feel good book, and I want to read absolutely everything by this author moving forward. The chemistry and banter between characters was so enjoyable and made the spice scenes that much hotter. I absolutely WAS NOT expecting that level of spice with this book, but I am pleasantly pleased!
I listened to the audio and it was one narrator, but I loved her different voices for everyone and think she did an excellent job. Again, usually not my favorite as I prefer a duet, but this book was so good I don’t even think it would’ve mattered if Fran Drescher from The Nanny was narrating it.
You’re definitely going to want to read or listen to this one when it comes out on August 26!
Thanks NetGalley and Harlequin Audio for this advanced listener copy in exchange for an honest review!

Isabelle Popp delivers the perfect seasonal rom-com that’s equal parts flirty, funny, and full of heart. The banter is sharp, the chemistry is off the charts, and the town’s nosy locals add just the right dash of chaos.
Perfect for fans of Gilmore Girls meets It Happened One Summer, this book is like wrapping yourself in a soft blanket with a PSL in hand. 10/10 recommend for your fall TBR or now if you, like me, have the summer time saddies. 🍁✨
The narrators voice is so pleasant and calming it fit the theme perfectly and made it so easy to listen to! I’d definitely recommend the audio!
Thank you NetGalley and Harlequin Audio for a chance to be an ARC/ALC reader in exchange for an honest review!

Initial thoughts:
This book is cute, quirky, and perfect for fans of the Pumpkin Spice Café.
About the book:
Sadie is a textile artist that recently made it big but is losing her inspiration and motivation for art. When her uncle gets in a bad accident, her dad calls her to take over his pumpkin farm while he helps nurse his brother back to health. Even though she hasn't been back to Idaho in almost a decade, Sadie takes it as a chance to find her muse and reconnect with her father. Things don't go as planned when the pumpkin patch is destroyed and her neighbor is her father's protégée and... hot? He offers to help her grow the biggest pumpkin for the contest, but Sadie is slow to trust and isn't so sure he doesn't have his own agenda up his sleeve. Can Sadie put her ghosts and past regrets to rest in this town? Or will she be returning to California sooner than expected, no matter the budding romance between her and her neighbor, Josh.
Things I enjoyed:
- I feel like I rarely see books set in Idaho!
- I love a small town setting
- I love an artist! It was fun hearing a little about Sadie's textile art.
- This was a cozy book with relatively low stakes
Things that weren't for me:
- The pacing of this fell flat for me. I think the beginning could have used more of a punch.
- Josh and Sadie's voices felt too similar to me.
- Sadie was constantly talking about her otherness, how she didn't fit in, how she wasn't perfect for the WHOLE BOOK. I get throwing it in every now and then, but it was repetitive and very negative self talk that I didn't love reading. I get it, we all have problems and things we can work on, but it was a little disheartening to see Sadie feeling this way about herself still towards the end of the book.
My thoughts:
Honestly, this wasn't for me. I almost dnfed this about 40%. It did get a little better, and I don't regret finishing this book, but it just wasn't for me.
About the audio:
I listened to about 70% of this on audiobook and ended up finishing this on ebook. While the narrator did a decent job with Sadie's voice, every other female character was indiscernible and the male voices were inconsistent at best.

Let's Give Em Pumpkin to Talk About
Grumpy × Sunshine, but reversed? Pumpkin patches and autumn vibes?
Yes, please.
This book is the spicy, icy pumpkin latte I needed this hot summer!
Josh & Sadie have just enough angst to make things interesting, but mostly steamy chemistry, but will they work things out in her old small town?
This is a super spicy, fun but also somewhat cozy, and largely fast-paced read!

I loved the dynamic between the grumpy main character and the sunny lover! Their banter was perfection, and the spice between them was 🔥. This story gave me all the cozy fall feels, and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Can't wait to read more by this author!

Review: Let’s Give ’Em Pumpkin to Talk About by Isabelle Popp
5 stars ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Let’s Give ’Em Pumpkin to Talk About is the ultimate cozy, feel good fall romance. With a charming small town setting, witty banter, and just the right touch of emotional depth, this book perfectly captures the warmth of second chances and seasonal love.
Sadie returns home to take care of her father’s pumpkin patch and finds more than just memories waiting enter Josh, the sweet (and swoony) neighbor who brings sunshine to her otherwise grumpy mood. Their chemistry was subtle but steady, the kind that sneaks up on you and stays. I loved the blend of personal healing with the slow burn romance, and the autumnal backdrop made it even more comforting. It’s a quick read, but it has heart, humor, and charm throughout.
If you enjoy smalll town romance, opposites attract dynamics, and fall themed settings, this one’s a perfect addition to your autumn TBR!
Tropes:
🎃 Grumpy x Sunshine
🏡 Small Town Romance
🍂 One-Season Fling
🧡 Coming Home / Starting Over
💬 Witty Banter

Lets give em pumkin to talk about is a charming fall read. Sadie decides to come back home to take over her fathers pumpkin farm while he is out of town taking care of his brother. She has uneasy feelings about being back after some childhood mishaps. Sadie meets a man named josh who is her fathers neighbor. After some issues go down in the patch josh offers to give her one of his pumpkin seedlings to enter in the spice county pumpkin weigh off. This book is a sweet mix of romance and growth.

Very cute, loved the plus size FMC inclusivity. I felt there were some very large words that were thrown in randomly that didn’t need to be there. Otherwise, I enjoyed and had a good time, Josh is very golden retriever energy and loved that his horses name was Shadowfax.

This one was decent. I was hoping for more of a halloween type feel, but if youre looking for a spicy romance with some pumpkin farming this is for you! It was decent, the spice was well written, and the audio was great!

Huge thank you to Isabelle Popp, Harlequin Audio and Netgalley for an ALC of this book to review. All opinions are my own.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
This book completely surprised me - in the best way! I went in expecting a fun rom-com, but the characters had so much more depth than I anticipated. The FMC was a standout with her strong, no-nonsense attitude toward relationships. She knew exactly what she wanted (and what she didn’t!) and wasn’t about to let anyone cross the boundaries she’d set for herself.
I also really appreciated the MMC and his people-pleasing tendencies—something we don’t often see in male leads. It was refreshing to see that kind of vulnerability explored from his perspective.
The storyline was solid and wrapped up beautifully, with just enough drama to keep things interesting without feeling overdone. As a more mature reader (hi, 40!), I especially appreciated the healthy level of communication between the characters. It wasn’t overdone or cringey - it felt grounded, realistic, and on par with what you'd hope for in an actual adult relationship. And the spice? A little different from the typical romance reads I’ve picked up lately - in a way that felt fresh, fun, and even had me blushing at times!
A solid 4-star read that brought something new to the romance table. If you're looking for a story with emotional depth, great characters, and some swoon-worthy moments, definitely give this one a go!

Many thanks to Netgalley and Harlequin Audio for this audiobook arc.
First off I absolutely loved the smalltown Midwest setting and the diverse cast of side characters in this story. Still that said, there was something about the writing style here that just never clicked with me. Sadie never really grew on me as the FMC and I found Josh a bit TOO much of a green flag MMC. I wanted him to have a little more substance as the love interest.
Also, I previewed this via audiobook and the narrator came across a tad monotone for me during the info heavy sections, particularly when getting into Sadie's work as a textile artist. I wish less time had been spent on this element of the story and we'd have been given more of the characters interacting with members of the community or each other organically. To me, a lot of the interactions in this book felt there purely to push some info on me instead of demonstrating development for these two characters and came across a little preachy and dry in places.
While it overall didn't work for me, I do feel like this has potential for others looking for a quick, small town romance with some seasonal vibes. Fans of Laurie Gilmore's Dream Harbor series will eat this up and I'm sure it'll find its audience.

This was a nice grumpy/sunshine romance set around a giant pumpkin growing contest. Sadie comes back to her childhood home in Indiana to help out her dad and just has one mishap after another that her nice neighbor Josh is all too happy to help her with.
Both characters were likable and fairly well rounded, and I even felt like there were a few surprises. Given the cover, I was hoping for just a few more fall vibes, but I still enjoyed this audiobook.

I loved this audiobook. I truly have no negative notes on it. The narrator, Adelaide Fernport, was great and I really felt like I was a part of the story. The book itself flows well and there is enough relationship building between Sadie and Josh that I feel like they have a really solid relationship. I will definitely be recommending both the audiobook and the book itself to anyone who loves a good small town romance with a splash of spice.
Thank you NetGalley and Harlequin Audio for the arc audiobook.

I found this FMC insufferable. I know she’s on the younger side, but still was acting to childish. And the MMC had an instalove thing going on, and speaking about her body too much too early also gave me the ick. It was hard to focus on any plot when I didn’t care for any of the characters.
