I loved this book! I have always loved Scottish highland romance books and this is one of my favorites! I loved the amnesia part of the story. It is a must read!

This was my first Scottish historical romance, and to say I was amazed is an understatement. I've been on a historical romance kick lately, but with this book being the first of its kind for me, I went into this book not really knowing what to expect, especially from a Highlander romance. But upon reading, I began to fall in love with this story and its characters. This story was filled with so much passion and mystery that I genuinely could not put it down for a second.

I honestly can't wait to dive back into another Christina Phillips book after this. The tension between Isolde and William has me grasping for more. If this is what Highlander romances have to offer, then consider me hooked. I'm so excited to explore more of this author's work and see what other unforgettable stories she has to offer.

Wonderful harlequin novel. The plot was light and fun. The romance was cute but not cheesy. Love pretty much everything about this.

Isolde MacDonald is fierce, strong, independent and determined not to leave her family’s Island to marry.
William Campbell a cunning warrior, avoiding his betrothal (for now), is attacked on his ship, tossed overboard and assumed dead.
Washing up on the shore of the Isle of Eigg and found by Isolde the sparks immediately fly but is he telling the truth about his circumstances or is there something more going on? Will the truth of the handsome strangers past tear them apart?
A great new series, this book has all the best tropes! A sweet romance that delivers all the feels on the best kind roller coaster ride! Fast paced, with unforeseen twists and turns, this steamy HEA won’t let you put it down!

Isolde refuses to wed then falls for a stranger. He has secrets of his own and together they work to solve the mystery. Christina Phillips has a well written book that will pull you into the story and keep you up late reading to discover what happens next in their lives. I loved Isolde’s story.

Beguiled by the Highlander is a sweet, slow-burn romance with an enemies-to-lovers dynamic between Isolde and William. The setup had promise, and while there were a few swoon-worthy moments, the romance felt a bit subdued overall. Both characters are stubborn and evenly matched, which added tension, but I was hoping for more emotional depth or spark.

The pacing faltered a bit—especially during the story’s most thrilling moment, which happened so quickly I had to reread it to make sure I didn’t miss anything. I hadn’t. That said, this is still a cozy read for fans of softer historical romance. Maybe Highlander romance isn’t quite my thing, but I’m open to giving the genre another shot with a different author.

This is a Highland historical romance. Our heroine is part of a family with a strong female line. She feels all her strength is drawn from the land of her island. That's why the idea of her betrothal upsets her so much.
Someone tries to murder our hero. How will that change things? What is his truth?
That is the fascinating story we have here. It is full of great characters and adventures. It kept my interest all the way through.
Good fun.

I loved this one so much, I do love a good Scottish historical and Christina Phillips did not disappoint, my trip back in time to The Isle of Sgur and the woman who run the Isle they are decedents of a Pict Queen, proud and strong, Isolde is the eldest of three daughters and this is her story come along and meet her and these fabulous woman.

Isolde knows that she is destined to stay on the Isle forever, proud of her heritage and bound by the prophecy of these long ago woman this is where her life is but ten years ago her beloved grandmother promised her to, the Campbell Clan namely Willian Campbell and Isolde is determined not to marry him.

Then a stranger washes up on their beach a handsome man who has no memory of who he is and Isolde feels the spark instantly could he be the man who will win her heart and stay on her Isle?
Although he has no memory he knows that he will go to any lengths to win this woman’s heart it feels like they are destined to be together, she is strong and independent and knows how to handle a claymore but he must first find out who he is and if he has anything to offer her.

When his memory returns the truth just may well tear them apart especially when he remembers what happened on the ship, but one thing is for certain he wants Isolde and Isolde cannot fight her grandmother but will they be safe?

Christina Phillips has written a beautiful romance filled with so many emotions, it is sensual and there is danger for both of them will they find that love and happiness, I do highly recommend this one it was hard to put down, a fabulous read and I can’t wait to read more in this series.

My thanks to Netgalley and Dragonblade Publishing Inc. for my copy to read and review.

Isolde, was raised on the Isle of Eigg. While her grandmother ruled the isle and the clan, Isolde believed that all her strength, power, wisdom, etc. was based on her remaining on the Isle. William, finds himself on the Isle but without his memory. There's a bit of magic as well as a small mystery. Overall, this tale is engaging and different in its approach. Well developed characters.

I was fortunate to receive an Arc copy. I found the story predictable but not unpleasant. The chronic lack of communication between the characters was slightly annoying, but that's a personal preference. The prose is great and the description of the Isles is beautiful. The way the book is written gives an easy to imagine imagery. It was an easy, fun read. The book is perfect for those that enjoy easy to follow plots.

This is my first book by Christina Phillips and I am impressed. Isolde is a beautiful, kind, strong woman whose lineage goes back hundreds of years. William, a wounded warrior, was washed up on her shore. It was warm and fuzzy while they were getting to know each other. The romance is open door and the mmcs are scorching hot.
Isolde's sisters are adorable and I came wait to read their stories.
Thank you to Dragonblade for the copy of this book. Opinions are my own.

This was just what I needed to satisfy my Scottish historical romance craving!

Isolde has been betrothed to William Campbell for the last 10 years but neither one has shown any inclination that they wish to wed a stranger. Isolde is a daughter of the Isle of Sgur and like her foremothers she has a connection to the land, so she doesn't think she's supposed to leave it. But her grandmother, the mistress of Sgur, secured this alliance with the Campbells years ago for Isolde's safety or so she's always told her. When a stranger washes up on the beach, Isolde feels an instant connection to him but he has no recollection of who he is. And while she's falling for him she can't help but spurn the thought of William Campbell.

This was my first Christina Phillips book and probably won't be my last. The story was fun and intriguing but a few holes were left in the story. Why is Isolde in danger if she stays on her isle? What's with the magic she holds that connects her to the land? I wish these issues were explored a bit more but maybe they will be answered later as this seems to be a series. This was also an insta-love situation but I didn't mind it too much. I did love how much William was head over heels for Isolde and couldn't imagine being without her. He respected her skills and her freedom but still wanted to keep her safe. Their love was spicy and entertaining, though during some of the miscommunication I wanted to strangle William lol.

Overall a quick satisfying read if you love the historical romance genre. I will most likely continue this series and I have hopes of everything being fleshed out and I would love to get more of her sisters' stories. Thank you so much to Dragonblade Publishing for gifting me this eARC in exchange for an honest review!

Fate, Betrayal, Bewitched, Highland Romance Mystery:
Wow, what an interesting action-packed way to start a new series.
Excellent intriguing characters that pulled at my heartstrings through the entire story.
The way they meet is quite unexpected but thankfully due to the curious little dog Sjor barking erratically they discover a wounded William who has no memory of who he is. Isolde is not sure if that is a ruse, but she will soon find out.
Isolde who for 10 years has been betrothed to wed William Campbell whether she wants to or not.
This exciting story is on the predicable side but following William and Isolde is worth the ride.
A story filled with strong emotion's, sizzling passions, many surprises, and a very rewarding ending.
Mature Advisory:3/5

Their love was labeled as forbidden, yet destiny had other plans. She became enchanted by a mysterious figure from the sea, only for him to break her heart. Isolde MacDonald is clear about her intentions, and marrying the arrogant Highlander, William Campbell—who will stop at nothing to claim her land—is certainly not part of her plan. Proud of her heritage, she feels a deep connection to her cherished isle through an ancient prophecy passed down from her foremothers, convinced that no Campbell could ever understand her bond with her land or her passion for her sword. She believes she doesn't need a man to complete her life—until a nameless stranger washes ashore and captures her heart. He may not remember his own identity, but he is determined to win her affection. After being attacked on his ship and thrown overboard during a storm, he awakens with no memory of his past. Yet, one thing is clear to him: the stunning Isolde MacDonald, with her fierce independence and swordsmanship, is the only woman he desires. However, when his memories resurface, the reality threatens to tear them apart. To win her love, he must uncover the truth. But the stakes are higher than just an ancient prophecy, and if they fail to move past their history, they risk losing everything. Overall, I found this to be a delightful read! As a fan of historical romances, this book truly fulfilled my desires!

Thanks to Netgalley for the arc!
