Another sweet romance by Julie Klassen, one of my favourite authors. I really loved this hear-warming story, not only on its own but as the last one of a series I've enjoyed a LOT. It's been nice to go back to the Summer's Hotel and to give closure to the last sister. Plus, I love a good Christmas story. Read It!!

I received a free copy of, A Sea View Christmas, by Julie Klassen, from the publisher and Netgalley in exchange for an honest review. It is Christmas time at Sea View, and the Summer sisters, are hoping it will be a great one. Sarah and Georgiana, are looking forward to the holidays in Devon, and maybe romance? This was a quite charming Christmas read, about love, friendship, holidays, sisters, and love.

I loved this series and found it bittersweet for it to end with this story! I will say, I felt a bad for Callum Henshall when he puts his heart on the line again and Sarah has a hard time committing. I found it interesting to look at her story as a mother (though my daughter is far from marrying age!) and can only imagine how awful I would feel if she put taking care of everyone before her own happiness. That said, I enjoyed the glimpse of an early 1800's Christmas! It was fun that Georgie has grown up through the course of the series and is now becoming a young woman and trying to figure out what that means for her.
This is a delightful series to pick up!

I'm going to start by saying that I felt Georgina got cheated right from the start about not getting her own story since this the last book. I'm so disappointed.
But, on the whole I have enjoyed this series. I love anything Klassen writes. I was sad to see this end.
I did enjoy learning about the Christmas traditions and I felt like I was there with Sarah and Callum.
I loved Sarah and her sisters so much. But Georgina was my favorite and that's why I feel like that.
I love her fun loving spirit. In my opinion, she completes the sisters personality perfectly even though they are each their own person.
Anyways I enjoyed and had fun reading this book and was sad to see it end.
5 stars from me. I highly recommend!
My thanks for a copy of this book. I was NOT required to write a positive review. All opinions expressed are mine.

A Sea View Christmas: An On Devonshire Shores Novella was a fun book to read. I enjoyed reuniting with the Summer sisters as they move on from a life of gentility to running a boarding house among other careers. The plot was interesting and I really liked the characters. I loved the setting of Seaview. I recommend reading the first three books as this is not a standalone book.

So set the air conditioner on high, get a cozy blanket and a pot of tea to drink while you savor A Sea View Christmas.

I was given a copy of this book with no expectations. All thoughts are my own.

A Sea View Christmas perfectly wraps up the On Devonshire Shores series by Julie Klassen. But, oh how I wish the series could just go on and on! I’ve loved each of the three novels in the series, and this novella is the icing on top. Though you can read all of these separately, in my opinion, reading them in order makes them so much more enjoyable. These sisters have become so dear to me. Klassen gives them a depth that brings them to life, and I feel like I could be their mom! And the other characters! I know them. They’re my friends now. Having to put them on the shelf gives me all of the feelings! I’ve loved “living in” the descriptive settings of the series, and I enjoyed all of the Christmas festivities in A Sea View Christmas. I learned about English and Scottish traditions with which I was unfamiliar, and I found them so entertaining! I highly recommend this novella and series, and I hope you love it as much as I did!

I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book. All views expressed are only my honest opinion.

I couldn't wait to dive in to the final instalment of a series I've adored from the start. This time, we're presented with a potential romance and a second chance at love for one of the Summers sisters.

I loved the romantic tension that sparked during Sarah and Callum's interactions. Torn between duty to her family and following her heart, it was understandable why she couldn't give in to her heart's desire. It was a combined effort from those around her to get her HEA.

I loved the spirit of giving that was very much present throughout the Christmas season. Everything worked out for good to bring a satisfying conclusion.

Thank you to Netgalley and Publisher for an ARC in exchange for an honest review. It's out 2nd September!

This delightful Christmas novella encompasses the lives of the Summers sisters as they anticipate the Regency holiday celebrations. Sarah Summers has been the dutiful daughter who put aside her hopes and dreams while helping to run the family's seaside guest house. Long ago, a mysterious widower came to visit, and Sarah felt a connection to this lonely man. But duty called and helping her family to survive and thrive became a priority instead of her heart. Now, things are looking up. The inn has taken off, her mother's health is much better, and her sisters have begun to fly the nest. When Sarah has an opportunity to travel to Scotland, she hopes to visit and reconnect with Callum Henshall. When the trip is a bust, Sarah returns home and focuses on making this Christmas the best she can for her youngest sister Georgiana. But things take a strange turn when Callum and his stepdaughter appear out of the blue and suddenly Sarah wonders if this Christmas will be very different than she had planned. Join the lovely Summers sisters as they plan for the holidays and be treated to the fun and festivities of early 1800's England.

I was gifted a copy of this novel by the publisher through NetGalley. All thoughts and opinions expressed are entirely my own.

A SEA VIEW CHRISTMAS is the final book in the On Devonshire Shores series by JULIE KLASSEN. It is a most enjoyable read in which we feel the influence of Jane Austen. I have read the whole series, andI feel there should be more of an introduction for those who have not read the previous ovels.
The story takes plaee in 1820 between Sidmouth and Scotland.
Sarah Summers seems to have been born responsible and her deepseated sense of duty may well spoil her chances of happiness with the dapper Scotsman,, Callum Henshaw. The trip she goes on to Scotland with Claire and William closely mirrors Elizabeth Bennett’s trip to Pemberley……….
Sarah has promised her youngest sister Georgiana that this Christmas will be a special one, and I found the details of the old English and Scottish traditions interesting.
The characters are delightful and there is a gentle Christian message runing through the book.
I was given a free copy of the book by NetGalley from Bethany House Publishers. The opinions in this review are completely my own.

A Sea View Christmas is the fourth and final book in the On Devonshire Shores series by Julie Klassen. Most of the characters and settings in this novella are familiar from the previous books. The focus here is on Sarah Summers, the family caretaker, and is a study in how she learns to take care of herself as she takes care of others. She has promised her sister Georgiana a really lovely Christmas, and works hard to achieve it. Eventually, Sarah recognizes her own needs and desires. When she decides to pursue them instead of taking on responsibility for everyone else, she learns that others can manage on their own. This frees her to find happiness with the love of her life, a charming Scotsman. Klassen has gifted us with an appealing romance and a warm and cozy Christmas read. Strongly recommended.

A Sea View Christmas by Julie Klassen concludes the On Devonshire Shores series by focusing on the last Summers sisters, Sarah and Georgiana. It is best to read the other books, as the other sisters are intertwined in the novel. Klassen tells the story of young love and a second chance at love, set during the festive Christmas season. Regency fans will delight in this cozy tale while curling up with a furry companion and a cup of hot chocolate.

A Sea View Christmas by Julie Klassen is the conclusion to the On Devonshire Shores series.

Sarah Summers is at a crossroads. Feeling duty bound to her family, she must decide whether to lay aside as she waits for her Scottish gentleman. Promising her younger sister, seventeen year old Georgie a memorable Christmas, Sarah has her work cut out for her. Weighed down by her responsibilities, she seeks God for guidance.

Widower Callum Henshall's return to Sidmouth brings romance back to the Devonshire coast at Christmas. The delightful characters fill the pages with humor and family. Georgiana kept the story moving with her youthful enthusiasm. This second chance at love is a well rounded conclusion to the Sea View series.

I received a complementary copy of this book. All opinions are my own.

I don't want On Devonshire Shores to end!! Please tell me there is a novel about Georgiana's travels that is in the works for the future!!

I have come to love the Summers sisters, and A Sea View Christmas has everything that I adore about them. There is witty banter with Georgiana, family responsibility with Sarah, and chivalrous gentlemen. I also love that we see the workers as Sea View and how they have become family. Each sister and her spouse from previous books are in A Sea View Christmas.

If this is the last novel, it is a perfect one, but I still long for one more with Georgiana as the main character.

Thanks for NetGalley and Bethany House for this complimentary ARC. All opinions are my own.

A Sea View Christmas was a very satisfying conclusion to the Sea View saga. I was so happy with the way everything worked out for Sarah, and that her struggles were dealt with in a way that didn't diminish the struggle but made it feel real. I also loved Georgie; she was a delight and it was such a fun time reading her story!

Overall, five stars for a fun, easy Christmas read that wrapped up the story very nicely.
